Story
Rehoming Two Very Affectionate Cats I am faced with the difficult decision of finding a new home for my two sweetheart cats. They are two years old and from the same litter. Healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to financial circumstances, I am moving in with my family, where there is a dog that is aggressive towards cats. To ensure their safety and well-being, I am seeking a kind, safe, and loving home where they can continue to thrive together. Please see the attached photos. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Moose and Bao, or if you know of someone who might be, please reach out to me at the email provided. Your kindness and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated. Gratefully, Isabel

Story
Little Bear Cub got his name bc he is the largest in the litter, sleeps the most and had a cute little belly for first 8 weeks! He is very sweet and a bit reserved; loves attention but you generally need to go to him and he’ll greet you with a cute little bum wiggle… just like his mama’s. He loves to play and is the gentle giant of the litter. He is the last kitten that needs to be homed and it’s my strong preference that mama and LBC go together. Mama (Noiree) was a stray that gave birth on my porch. She is only about 2 yrs and is just wonderful - with a fun and quirky personality. Due to environmental hazards - I am not able to keep her long term as she is definitely an inside/outside cat and will thrive the best in that situation. A home with a good sized yard - in a residential neighborhood would be the most ideal so she can go outside from time to time. Mama and LBC are bonded and will make great company for each other. Please see Noiree’s profile for more info about her.

Story
Noiree was a stray I fed outside for many months and she ended up giving birth to several kittens on my porch in Dec. I took them inside for the winter where she has been adapting to inside life while taking incredible care of her kittens. Noiree is about 2 years ago. She is not yet a lap cat but loves to sit close by and loves to be petted. With proper care and love- she is now just stunning - beautiful coat, healthy weight and has a cute personality. She is very much an indoor/outdoor cat and will thrive in a home with a yard, not near a busy street where she can go in and out at some points in the day. She does not wander too far but needs to ‘smell the roses’. She can be a bit fearful of loud noises and will take some time to warm up to visitors and strangers. Due to many environmental hazards near my house, I am not able to keep her unfortunately. Also, she must be adopted along with her kitten- Bear Cub - whom she is very close and bonded with. Please see his page for more info.

Story
Donnie (short for Donnie Darko because of his endearingly creepy stare) is just looking for someone to return some of the enormous amount of love he has to give. He's been living rough for at least the past year, so he takes a bit of time to warm up — but once he trusts you, he is INCREDIBLY affectionate. Stand near him and he will nudge your legs until you pet him, and then he just NEVER gets tired of pets — ear scritches, belly rubs, you name it, he's into it. Donnie has been very tenacious in trying to adopt us — the only problem is that he doesn't get along so well with the two kitties who beat him to it. He's probably best as an only cat; he will keep your house/yard/apartment very safe from intruders and absolutely shower you with affection. Because he wandered into our yard a year ago and just won't leave, we don't know much about his story. What we DO know is that he's an adult, neutered, and DESPERATE for affection.

Story
Harold joined our family in 2012 as a kitten and is now 12 years old. Turns out one of our family members is very allergic to cats. And our other two family members no longer live here. So Harold is not getting the attention he needs. Plus. I can’t care for him Or spend a lot of time with him as I travel a lot. Harold is very mellow. Harold likes to sleep in the sun. Harold likes to sit nearby while you are working on a computer or watching TV. Harold is not picky about food And does not go outside. I will miss Harold, but want to find a home where someone is not allergic and he can get the attention he needs.

Story
In bustling Boston, I met Sammy at an animal shelter when she was just 8 months old. Now at 4, she's seeking a new, serene home, ideally without other pets and in a single-person household. Sammy's dual nature is unique: she shows a standoffish attitude towards strangers and dislikes other animals. However, when alone with her human, she transforms into an affectionate companion, craving attention and closeness. Describing Sammy, words like independent, aloof, yet incredibly needy and loving come to mind. Her story underscores the special, deep bond pets share with their humans, thriving best in a peaceful, undivided environment.

Story
Greetings, I'm Nero, a reserved, very shy and gentle cat seeking a patient and understanding forever home. While I may not seek constant attention and cuddles, I offer a unique charm and quiet companionship that can enrich your life. My current humans are relocating, and I'm hopeful to find a new quiet home and a companion who values my calm demeanor. It may take me a little while to feel comfortable around you and others, but once I do, you'll discover that I'm a loyal and loving companion. You'll often find me under the couch or the bed, observing the world from a safe distance. I also like to sleep close to your feet and play with feather toys and laser pointers. While I'm not a fan of belly rubs, I do enjoy gentle pets on my head when I'm feeling relaxed. I'm neutered and in good health, content to be your serene and undemanding companion. If you're seeking a sweet and reserved cat friend, please contact my human, Amy. I'm eager to find a tranquil home where I can 🌙

Whiskey is a little less the 3, he's super loving , and cuddly to all humans, he likes to be playful, and sleep with his human after a long day, he doesn't mind sleeping alone though if there no pets allowed in the bed. Very intuitive and smart. He likes to flush the toilet for you lol. He is currently living with a dog. He's amazing with children and will soak up all the pets he gets.

Story
My Staty is a gentle, affectionate and beautiful Tuxedo Boy. He is the most chill cat I have ever had. He is quiet and very good with, and open to the attention of other people (especially children). It is litterally breaking my heart to let him go. However, due to an overseas work assignment I am about to embark on in the coming weeks. I need to rehome him. I am not asking for a rehoming fee. I just want the peace of mind knowing that he will be going to the loving home he deserves. He has always been in his one cat home so I cannot say for certain how he will react to other cats. He is fixed and in good health. I believe he has all of his basic shots as he was almost a year old when I got him (he is 3 years old now). He loves to sit in your lap and just keep you company. I have also NEVER had any litter box issues with him. His is also not a picky eater. He comes with food bowls, food tray, a large litter box, a litterbox enclosure that contains his litterbox and a carrier.

Story
Leyla's Personality Beauty and brains, sweet and sassy. This little charmer, whose nickname is "Miss Bean," will win you over in no time. Although not a lap cat (so far!), she's always close by laying next to you. Just provide a nice, soft fleece blanket. Leyla is super friendly and enjoys being brushed. She will reward you with soft purrs and gentle head butts. Leyla is becoming more playful each day in her new foster home after all of her six kittens have been adopted. She is learning to be a kitten again after giving being a mom at just 9 months of age. Leyla goes nuts over a catnip-filled pillow. She showed off her first "zoomies" around the house the other day. And she chases just about anything that moves. Miss Bean won't wake you up for breakfast, but waits until you pet her while she stands on your chest, giving you the days loudest purr. She loves to sleep on a soft blanket on the bed at night and occasionally chases your toes under the covers. Her favorite things are catnip toys, getting brushed and showing off her trick sitting on command for treats. If Leyla can’t find you, she lets out a little meow, and comes running when you call. She loves people, and is not shy at all. She is a perfect little companion. What Type of Home Leyla Needs This sweet, sassy girl needs a home where people are around for her to hang out with. She is not demanding, but likes to be near people. Leyla likes to be in charge of her territory and needs to be the only pet - no other cats or dogs in her forever home. Leyla can get a little over-stimulated and nip your hands or feet when she feels unsettled - so no young children now or in the future. An older, cat-savvy child would be fine. This behavior has subsided in her new foster home now that she is settled in. Where Leyla Came From Leyla was rescued from outdoors by a kind man who found her abandoned in a park just one week before giving birth to six healthy kittens (all adopted). She was such a sweet, nurturing mama. Now its time for Leyla to have a home of her own.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
I rescued this guy in Jan 2024 from a parking lot. He is very smart and independent. He is an indoor/ outdoor kitty. He likes being in at night to sleep and out during the day. He is very playful and loves to run about. He would be best suited to have a large yard to explore during the day. He did get out several times in the beginning but has always come back.
