Story
Hello there, I'm Ms Bigglesworth, a worldly feline with a tale to tell. I've journeyed from Saudi Arabia, a place of mystery and wonder, to here, seeking a new beginning. I am sweet as honey and friendly as a morning sun. My curiosity knows no bounds, yet I carry a gentle touch. I have a mellow demeanor, but don't be fooled, I'm energetic and playful when the mood strikes. I'm smart, yet a bit shy, so it may take a moment for me to warm up to you. But once I do, we'll be the best of friends. Why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to be your faithful companion, your confidante, and your source of joy. I'll bring a touch of adventure to your life, and a whole lot of love. Story
Lynx and Puff's Personalities Lynx and Puff are loving and playful kitties with different, but compatible personalities. Lynx is confident and affectionate; Puff is timid and a sweet lap cat. They love to pounce, wrestle and stalk each other. When Puff stalks, Lynx springs straight up into the air in a mock surprise. They do joint exercises on the stratching post and pass ping-pong balls back and forth. After playtime, Lynx wraps his legs around Puff and grooms his face until they fall into catnap wonderland. They are bonded and must be adopted together. Lynx (brown/white tabby, short-haired, DOB 6/15/23) is very energetic with a wide ranging vocabulary of meows, chirps and trills. He has little tufts of fur at the tips of his ears similar to the medium-sized wild cat. He plays with anything that moves, although his favorite toy is a fuzzy mouse that he carries around in his mouth. Lynx loves people and never turns down an opportunity for petting and scratches behind his ears. He responds with a very loud purr. When Lynx is in a quieter mood, he likes to nap near a sunny window or next to you. He is very affectionate and loves to greet you and roll over on the floor while turning on his cute "trill." Puff (grey/white tuxedo, medium-haired, DOB 9/15/23) is as sweet as they come. He is shy with new people and in new surroundings, but once Puff is comfortable, he is friendly and social with his caretakers. When it’s time to cuddle, he curls up in your arms or your lap purring and drifting off to sleep. Puff is bold and brave when testing his acrobatic abilities. He climbs up a sisal cone to perch at the top or jump onto a table. He likes to chase ping pong balls, wrestle with catnip toys and protectively growls while carrying around a new toy. Little Puff n' Boots loves to be gently groomed and his pink nose is super cute. What Type of Home They Need Finding the right home to meet their different needs is a little tricky. Lynx is active and needs multiple people; Puff needs a quiet home that knows how to nuture a shy kitty. An experienced couple with no children now or in the future is ideal, however, a family with one older, cat-savvy child, would be fine. No young children or dogs now or in the future. Where They Came From Lynx was sadly abandoned by a cruel person who was observed pulling over to the side of the road, letting him out of the car then driving away. Luckily a kind person observed this crime and was able to pick Lynx up and take him inside for safekeeping. Puff was born outdoors and rescued from an apartment complex when he was a young kitten.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
Leyla's Personality Beauty and brains, sweet and sassy. This little charmer, whose nickname is "Miss Bean," will win you over in no time. Although not a lap cat (so far!), she's always close by laying next to you. Just provide a nice, soft fleece blanket. Leyla is super friendly and enjoys being brushed. She will reward you with soft purrs and gentle head butts. Leyla is becoming more playful each day in her new foster home after all of her six kittens have been adopted. She is learning to be a kitten again after giving being a mom at just 9 months of age. Leyla goes nuts over a catnip-filled pillow. She showed off her first "zoomies" around the house the other day. And she chases just about anything that moves. Miss Bean won't wake you up for breakfast, but waits until you pet her while she stands on your chest, giving you the days loudest purr. She loves to sleep on a soft blanket on the bed at night and occasionally chases your toes under the covers. Her favorite things are catnip toys, getting brushed and showing off her trick sitting on command for treats. If Leyla can’t find you, she lets out a little meow, and comes running when you call. She loves people, and is not shy at all. She is a perfect little companion. What Type of Home Leyla Needs This sweet, sassy girl needs a home where people are around for her to hang out with. She is not demanding, but likes to be near people. Leyla likes to be in charge of her territory and needs to be the only pet - no other cats or dogs in her forever home. Leyla can get a little over-stimulated and nip your hands or feet when she feels unsettled - so no young children now or in the future. An older, cat-savvy child would be fine. This behavior has subsided in her new foster home now that she is settled in. Where Leyla Came From Leyla was rescued from outdoors by a kind man who found her abandoned in a park just one week before giving birth to six healthy kittens (all adopted). She was such a sweet, nurturing mama. Now its time for Leyla to have a home of her own.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA.
