Hi my name is Jethro! Do you like it? I do! Do you like how I fold my feet one, over the other? I think it looks very grown-up, don’t you? It’s also very comfortable, and it makes me look like I know what I’m doing! Can you believe it, I got thrown out only two days ago. They just kicked me out of the house like I didn’t matter, and after they did that, I really felt like I didn’t matter, not to anyone. I felt like a bag of stale cat food, the kind that nobody wants to eat unless they’re desperate. I actually did feel desperate after they tossed me – I didn’t know where to go and I didn’t know what to do. I was soooo confusedddd. Most of the humans walking on the street ignored me, until a nice girl stopped and gave me some food. Anyway, I am safe now, and I am forever grateful. I slept with the rescue lady and her husband on the very first night, and I did my best to charm everyone in her house so they wouldn’t kick me out either. I’ve been hanging out with the other rescue cats, and I think I’m making friends already. The husband tells me I am ridiculously cute, even though I get the sense that he doesn’t actually like cats that much. He says he likes cats, but who knows? I’m not sure of anything right now except that I must be ridiculously cute. I also know I don’t want to kicked out again. I hear it’s safe in America. Oh, I forgot to mention: I am a British shorthair, or what you might call a jellicle cat. Do you want to hear the song of my people?
