Story
Archie is a 6 1/2 year old, purebred, neutered male with a stunning liver and white roan coat and an athletic build.  He is solid and compact in size, weighing 41 pounds.  He’s as handsome as he is smart, and he’s ready to find his forever family! Archie came to NBRAN after his previous family’s living situation changed from a home with a yard to a condo. Since Archie thrives on being outdoors—playing, sniffing, and exploring—he struggled without the space and yard that he loved. For that reason, Archie’s new home must have a secure fenced yard (6 ft. required). This bright boy already knows sit, shake, down, spin and would love to keep learning. With his smaller frame, agility could be a perfect fit for him! He’s very food-motivated, making training both fun and rewarding.  Once he eats his supper, he might get a "food coma" and then start to wind down for the evening.  He is happy to sit next to you while you watch your favorite TV show or read a good book.  He will sleep in the crate with the door open, but prefers to sleep in bed with you or on the couch.   Archie enjoys the company of other dogs and must have a doggy sibling in his new home.  He has not been cat tested.  Like many smart pups, Archie sometimes practices a little “selective hearing” when he’s nose-down in the yard—but the sound of a treat bag brings him running every time. He’s an alert barker and will let you know if something seems out of the ordinary.  He is great on walks and will not pull you down the path.   Archie’s ideal match will be an active person, retired, or family who loves the outdoors as much as he does. Walks, babypool/water, casual hikes, and backyard adventures are his absolute favorites.  If you’re looking for a loyal, compact size, smart, and energetic companion, Archie may be the perfect match.   The adoption fee for Archie, who lives in Highlands Ranch, CO is $350, which helps offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Archie a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .    Your state coordinator/volunteer will conduct a phone interview, home visit and vet check as part of the approval process.  Once all 3 have been approved, we will begin the matching process.      Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.March 30, 2026, 12:54 am

Story
Meet Monty — the senior sweetheart who proves that joy doesn’t come with an age limit. Monty may be 10, but he greets every day like it’s the best one yet. This cheerful French Brittany has a goofy sparkle in his eye and a heart that melts anyone lucky enough to meet him. His morning routine? A burst of zoomies, a quick patrol of the yard, and a proud parade with his favorite soft toy. Mealtime is Monty’s personal celebration. He’ll woo-woo sing and bounce with excitement, but the moment you ask him to sit, he becomes the picture of manners. He loves his toys, his people, and his cozy evening rituals—chewing a Benebone, enjoying a Greenie “dessert,” and settling in for snuggles as the day winds down. His teeth are in great shape, and he’s got none of that typical senior-dog breath. Monty is a world-class cuddler who bonds deeply with his humans. Once he trusts you, he’ll lean his whole body against you in the sweetest “you’re my person” hug. He loves watching birds and squirrels, and he’ll happily alert you to backyard visitors with a bark, a whine, or a little excited shimmy. Because of his reduced depth perception and strong prey drive, he’ll need a secure 6-foot fenced yard and a home without cats or small animals. He thrives in a calm, adult-only home and enjoys respectful teens. A single-story home or one with minimal stairs would be perfect for him. Monty does get anxious in the car, so he’s looking for adopters in Colorado or within a few hours of Denver. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with warmth and laughter, Monty is ready to choose you. The adoption fee for Monty, who lives in Highlands Ranch, CO is $250, which helps offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Monty a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please note if you are 65 and over you may adopt Monty for a reduced adoption fee of $150! Your state coordinator/volunteer will conduct a phone interview, home visit and vet check as part of the approval process.  Once all 3 have been approved, we will begin the matching process.  Special Needs:  â€‹Positive for Tick Borne Disease; Anaplasma.  He has completed his 30 days of antibiotics called Doxycycline.  He may always test positive on an annual senior blood panel for this under antibodies, but he is 100% sympton free and NO issues!  He has seen our vet and been given a clean bill of health!   March 30, 2026, 12:54 am

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  March 7, 2026, 3:26 pm

Story
Everyone deserves a second chance… and that’s exactly how Chance got his name.  Chance is approximately 9-year-old Brittany who was found abandoned in a ditch during the Kentucky snowstorm. He was in rough shape and very sick! He only weighed 22 pounds and malnourished.   Since Chance has been in foster care he has gained his weight back, is healthy and his angel of a foster mom has taught him what it means to live inside with a comfy bed, food and a ton of love!! Once he was stabilized and on the road to recovery, he has been neutered, had an extensive dental with 22 teeth removed due to lack of nutrition and neglect. He only has his 4 canines but that does not stop him from eating and taking treats. He now weighs a healthy 30 pounds. He has had X rays from head to toe and an echocardiogram. He has a slight vision impairment. He is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Chance is a gentle, sweet soul who loves being close to his people. Once he feels safe, he enjoys curling up beside you soaking up affection. He is adjusting to living inside and gains confidence every day. He is crate trained and doing very well with house training. He is only having a few accidents but continues to improve each day. He has learned the doggy door. Chance does well with cats and gets along nicely with other dogs. Chance would do best in a calm home with no young children, where he can feel safe and relaxed. Due to unknown old leg injuries that have healed he needs to be in a home that has very few steps to make it easier for him to move around. He needs a fenced yard so that he can stroll and sniff and do his business. He is not a candidate for an invisible fence. A quiet, laid-back low activity home would be ideal for him. He has learned to play with toys; he will go over to the toy basket and pick one out and quietly walk away with it not drawing attention to himself. One thing we’ve noticed about Chance is that he’s a very quiet boy, he rarely barks. Instead, he has the cutest little way of giving a gentle growl when he wants your attention, which just adds to his unique personality. Sadly, not knowing his background other than his body tells the story he has lived a very hard life. It is the little things watching him enjoy as he continues learning how to just be a dog… with love to give!! He is such a sweet boy!! After everything he’s been through, Chance is ready for the best chapter of his life — a patient family who will give him the love and security he’s always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart of gold, Chance might just be your perfect match. Chance is located in Kentucky. His adoption fee is 350.00 and NBRAN will transport up to 1400 miles. if you have any interest in adopting Chance please email the state coordinators:  Neca neca227@gmail.com , Karlie karliebreana@gmail.com or Amy amypgay@gmail.com if you have any questions. If you have not applied yet, please go to nbran.org to complete an application and your state coordinator will contact you.March 30, 2026, 12:54 am

Story
Meet this joyful, social butterfly of a  French  Brittany—an affectionate, enthusiastic companion who brings  smiles everywhere he goes.  Ozzie is a  2 1/2 year, 40 pound, purebred.  He is neutered, microchipped, and potty trained. This boy has a wonderfully friendly,  enthusiastic  personality. On walks, he wants to greet every person and every dog he sees, tail wagging at full speed. On leash, he’s about a 4 out of 10 for pulling, which is quite good for a Brittany. He alternates between loose-leash strolling and bursts of a  happy excited trot.     He’s a playgroup favorite at  doggie daycare and loves romping  with canine friends.   Ozzie  likes to chase and be chased.  He’s also a dedicated wildlife watcher—especially when it comes to squirrels. If he spots one, his enthusiasm skyrockets.  He watches the trees and top of the fence line therefore, a secure 6 foot fence is required.     At home, he’s an absolute sweetheart.  He loves being brushed, tolerates baths, and even lets you brush his teeth. He enjoys curling up in  your  lap, sleeping  as  close to you  and possible,  and being part of your daily routine.  Ozzie is an aggressive cuddler so, once his exercise needs have been met, he  settles beautifully .  He is definitely a devoted sidekick who loves being near his people.   He would thrive with an active person or family, and he’s been great around  dog savvy kids that are older (10+) and considerate.  Ozzie has received some basic training and knows "sit, find your place, go get it, leave it and load up".  His obedience skills are truly impressive and with positive reinforcement, he will continue to make progress.  He loves the water, so a baby pool would be a bonus.     If you’re looking for a loving, joyful, people-oriented dog who will brighten every day, this boy is ready to be your buddy !   Th e adoption fee for  Ozzie , who lives in  Northglenn , CO is $4 00 , which helps offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making  Ozzie  a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  He is  heartworm negative, on prevention, and up to date on all vaccinations.     Your state coordinator/volunteer will conduct a phone interview, home visit and vet check as part of the approval process.  Once all 3 have been approved, we will begin the matching process. March 30, 2026, 12:54 am
