Story
Meet Missy, our gorgeous mama from LA! Missy's truly one of a kind. She's a big-hearted, affectionate, people LUVing girl with the soulful devotion one could only dream of. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be by your side, whether that’s chasing waves at the beach, going for a hike, or curling up next to you for a cozy night in. Missy LUVS people, like LUVs them! She LUVs taking naps next to her people, doing downtime in her crate with her favorite little humans (especially 8 and up!), and soaking up the sun outside - whether that's a walk, hike, or just hanging out. She's the perfect blend of active and couch potato. Missy would LUV an active home with someone who enjoys daily walks or outdoor adventures. She's equally happy relaxing at home. Missy's independent and easygoing, but when she chooses you as her person, she LUVs you deeply and forever. Though Missy has been fostered with other dogs and, has shown she can be playful and social when properly introduced, she prefers to be the only dog in the house. Small dogs and animals are a dealbreaker. She does best with calm, respectful dogs around her size. Missy was rescued from a shelter in LA with her 9 puppies (yes, 9!). She was a LUVing, attentive mama, and now that her pups have all been adopted, it’s her time to shine. In her foster home, she’s proven to be smart, well-mannered, and full of charm. She’s crate-and-trained, knows her basic commands, and has an endearing silly side that makes everyone smile. Ready to fall in LUV? Fill out an application to meet Missy your new furever LUV! Missy's currently located in the Bay Area but is open for adoption in Southern California. All Mutt Luv Rescue pups receive a full health checkup, parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog M:2This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Milina is a 2-year-old, 67-pound Boxer / American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She’s lively spirited and enjoys sniffing and activities with her people. Curious explorer: Milina pulls on leash, but gradually settles as she sniffs and explores. She’s still working on her leash manners and will benefit from continued practice. Affectionate with people: She sits politely for treats and takes them gently. Milina enjoys “drive-by” pets but will also pause to soak up attention. Playful energy: After a good round of pets, she may burst into joyful zoomies, showing off her fun-loving personality. Dog interactions: Milina may become excited when she sees other dogs and would benefit from thoughtful guidance. Milina would thrive in a home that offers exercise, structure, and plenty of affection. She’d do well in a multi-dog home or as the only dog with well-matched canine friends. Please submit an adoption questionnaire to meet her.March 28, 2026, 4:26 am

Story
Ember is a medium-sized breed puppy with all the curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm that comes with being young. Like all puppies, she will need a family committed to continued training, structure, and plenty of socialization as she grows. Puppies learn quickly but require patience, consistency, and guidance to become well-mannered adult dogs. As she matures, Ember will also need plenty of daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. Most puppies grow into active dogs who thrive with families that enjoy walks, outdoor time, and including their dog in daily life. Ember is looking for a home ready for all the fun, work, and rewards that come with raising a puppy. Please be home every 3 hours during this important developmental state. Estimated adult weight is 50-60 pounds, no guarantees.
