Story
Well, if that isn't the cutest nose in the world! Irish is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 44 pounds right now. Meet Irish, he is a big, gentle baby who just wants to be close to you and feel loved. This well-mannered pup has a timid and quiet nature, who just wants to lean in for cuddles and give you all the love in the world. He is a little submissive at times, but with a leader to rely on, some positive socialization, and confidence-building, he will flourish. Irish just wants to be near you and feels most comfortable when he can stay close by your side. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old and may be best in quieter, more predictable type home that matches his personality. With a gentle soul and a sweet disposition, Irish is really going to make a wonderful family member. Could you be the leader Irish is hoping for and show him what it means to be loved and cared for? He would love it if you came to meet him. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Irish would love to meet them. He has a calm, gentle approach with other dogs and remains soft and loose. If you are interested in Irish and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Rocco has spent months waiting for a place to call home. At just 10 months old, he’s still learning what it means to feel safe, to trust, and to let his guard down. Found alongside another dog, his past is a mystery, but one thing is clear—this sweet, loyal boy is ready to find a family who will give him the love and patience he needs to truly shine. Once Rocco knows he can trust you, his true personality starts to emerge. He’s affectionate and playful, eager to soak up every bit of love and attention. He’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—he loves going for walks just as much as he loves curling up for a nap. He’s already house and crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. While Rocco adores his people, he needs a little extra time to warm up to strangers, especially men. He’s also selective with other dogs and needs slow introductions to feel comfortable. Because of his nervous nature, he wouldn’t do well in a home with children. What Rocco needs most is a calm, patient family willing to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He’s looking for someone who will give him the time he needs to trust, and in return, he’ll offer a lifetime of unwavering loyalty and love. If you can be that person for Rocco, he’s more than ready to meet you. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
