Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Louie, an adorable ball of fur overflowing with sweetness and playfulness, ready to steal your heart. Louie's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds, especially when it comes to his love for walks and exploration. He sometimes pulls on the leash but with a little training and patience this can easily be corrected. Louie's love for food makes him the ideal candidate for training sessions, as he eagerly responds to treats and positive reinforcement. Louie's affectionate nature shines through, making him a wonderful companion for those willing to provide him with guidance and love. His feelings towards other dogs and cats are situational. With proper introductions and socialization, Louie could make furry friends for life. If you're in search of a loyal and spirited companion, consider giving Louie a forever home filled with love and adventures.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bio from rescuer: Please contact directly if you can assist with this sweet girl <3 Hello. This is Roxy. She goes by Roxy, Rox, or her favorite, ROXER! We took her in Xmas eve last minute, from her owner of 10+ years, who was going to put her down if he didn’t find a home due to “not having time for her anymore.” She is 13/14 years old. Boxer mix. She has a growth on her leg that her prev owner said was non cancerous and didn’t need to be removed, but it affects her walking to where she has a limp. She is such a sweet girl and would do good in a home w older or less hyper dogs. Or at least trained dogs! she just needs a good home! She’s still playful and very energetic! She enjoys lots of cuddles! Grew up around kids, dogs, and cats! ? She is also spayed and housebroken! She loves loves loves lots of cookies (aka dog treats haha). Located in Saginaw MI Please help me find this girl a great forever home. My number is 4053975880.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Louie is a 1.5-year-old neutered American Bully who is housebroken and up to date on vaccinations. He was rescued from a neglectful environment, but is healthy, loving, and very people-oriented. He is past the puppy stage but still young, playful, and eager to learn. Louie has a basic training foundation, and does best with structure, routine, and positive-reinforcement. He would do best in a home that has an experienced owner who can provide daily enrichment and physical activity; understands adolescent dogs need guidance and consistency; values positives-reinforcement training; and can offer a stable, permanent home. Our priority is finding Louie a safe, loving, lifelong home where he can thrive, and be someone’s best companion.
