Story
Foster notes, 12/4/23:Pie is an extremely affectionate dog that has lived most of his life in the shelter. He would benefit from some training as he can be hyper but this is at no fault of his own. Having another playmate helps with his energy. Because Pie hasn’t had a lot of interactions with other dogs and been able to be a pup himself, all he wants to do is play while the other dogs are wanting to rest. With positive redirection Pie will calm down and take a rest himself. Pie gets really excited and will try to grab blankets, toys, whatever may be around so I would recommend lots of variety of toys for him. He absolutely loves playing fetch and could play this for hours if you allowed it. Pie is such an amazing dog that has been looked over time and time again. All he wants is love, affection and attention. He will make an amazing partner in any adventure his family goes on. He loves to ride in cars and when we take him out, he goes to the car wanting to get in- it’s the absolute cutest thing. Pie loves to get belly rubs and will reward you with all of the kisses in the world. He is such a good boy that is so deserving of a forever home. Pie is house and crate trained, and lets you know when he needs to go potty. He is walked on a leash to go outside and is starting to do much better on leash. There are times when Pie will take charge and wants to walk himself by taking the leash in his mouth and starts walking in the direction he would like to go. I crate Pie when I leave the house and he’s done absolutely amazing. Pie knows sit and that is about it. We are working on other commands. I would recommend not playing tug of war with him and just tell him to “drop” the toy and he will so you can then throw it for him to go and fetch. This is a positive way to play with Pie that does not get him too overstimulated and excited. Pie does amazing with my 2 year old and my other dogs. I would recommend that Pie go to a home with at least one other dog so he can have someone to play with as playing as become his absolute favorite thing to do. I also have cats in the house and Pie is not bothered at all with them and does not engage with them at all, he is just uninterested in cats. Like every dog, Pie just needs a family willing to show him patience and love and who will work with him. Sound like you? Story
Honey is a very sweet 2 year old that we adopted in March. She is incredibly sweet and excited to meet people. She loves snuggling and fetching, and just spending time with people. She plays very well with one of our other dogs, and while she wants to play with the cats she leaves them alone if they express any distress towards her. She also is very friendly with the neighborhood kids, and is very happy when they reach over our fence to pet her. We need to rehome Honey because our oldest dog has not adjusted to her presence, and we haven’t seen any improvement with his behavior to her. We both work full time and unfortunately don’t have the time to work on this as much as we need to.

These pups are in Chapel Hill, North Carolina too!

Story
Arlo is a loyal boy who loves attention! He prefers to be around his people as much as possible and would love for his family to be home with him or take him on adventures as he does love a good car ride, especially if he can stick his head out the window and take in all the smells! Arlo has never met a stranger and loves all people. He does like most dogs but will need slow and proper introduction. His favorite things are running the woods, or in his large yard, taking hikes, and then flopping on the couch for a nice nap with you. He also loves a good chew toy too! Arlo is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. If you are ready to meet your new best bud, apply for Arlo today! Lacy is a 3 year old 40 lb boxer-beagle mix who loves to run and play but also loves to snuggle up and take a long nap. She is sincerely loyal to people and would be best suited for a family with no dogs or only male dogs. She is fully housebroken and walks great on a leash.

Story
My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!My name is Noel and I am a sweet girl who can be a bit on the shy side when I first meet you. I will need a kind and patient owner who can work with me and give me the time I need to earn my trust. But, once I warm up and start to settle in, I am a smiling lovebug. My foster friends/adventure buddies have these lovely things to say about me:`Noel (Nelly as we call her) has adjusted to life in a foster home seamlessly. She is such a loving, compassionate, and energetic part of the household. She is completely house/ crate trained, doesn`t chew on anything that isn`t hers, and loves to be taken in the car and on hikes. She can be nervous around other dogs, but is not aggressive-- she simply needs time to adjust. She is quite energetic, but really settles down with a good walk. She would love to meet you!` This pet is currently available in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting with her, please fill out an interest form https://airtable.com/shrWv1TWfsw834pBd
