Story
A dog doesn’t just get the name Fabio for no reason. The name alone gives you a clear image of a striking specimen and the day I met him, I was not disappointed. He is the epitome of why we say rescue is our favorite breed because this boy is unique and interesting in the way only a mixed-up rescue dog could be. A brown-eye, a blue-eye, the looks of a shepherd/husky and the face of a bull terrier. Stunning! Fabio is so fortunate and is being dedicated in a loving foster home where he has really displayed what a keeper he is. From his house manners to his dog-friendly personality, he just fit right in. His foster shared that he slipped right into the routine of things around her house and was fast friends with all the dogs. Not only is Fabio house-trained but he is also crate-trained, has great basic leash skills, and a growing number of basic commands. His foster family frequently takes him out and about for errands or local events and they shared that he has consistently been great easy-company! Fabios foster home includes 6 dogs, a few cats, along with an occasional “guest” who is just passing through. This has really highlighted how dog-friendly Fabio is. Although Fabio is a large dog with a love for physical play, he can read other dogs well and does not push if a dog is not interested. He also has an understanding of his size versus smaller dog friends. Fabio would love a home with an equal sized, playful, female companion but can live peacefully with small dogs. When we introduced Fabio to our house cat he was respectfully cautious and his foster shared he co-exists peacefully with their cats. Fabio could live in a home with dog-savvy cats who feel comfortable around dogs but do not need a playmate in the dog. Fabio is estimated to be about 4 years old and he weighs 60 lbs. Breed and age are details we cannot guarantee given he is a rescue but his personality and presence do fit a dog who has left his puppy days behind. He loves to play but also knows how to take a break, whether that is outside with doggie friends or while out and about at an event- we love that quality! Initially Fabio likes to take it slow with his people but ill give you an insider tip- he loves treats and loves to work for them. You will have his full-attention with a handful of treats and the space to show off the commands he knows. As comfortable as Fabio has shown he can be in public settings, he ultimately loves the peaceful nature of home and having space to run and play so a home with a yard is best for his fur-ever home. Fabio could easily be a family dog and would be well-suited for older kids 10+ who understand he needs time to warm-up, you can’t rush forever. If Fabio stole your heart with his piercing eyes and striking presence, apply today! A dog like him is truly one-of-a-kind and will not be available for long. He is undeniably something special! This boy has the chillest vibes, its giving unbothered and cool-guy. Within seconds of meeting him he was making my day. He was giving me paw and shaking my hand at our first introduction! Safe to say Toby is a gentleman! For the rest of our time together, Toby was literally my shadow, making me feel super important and chosen. With those soulful eyes, he is always letting you know he is just so happy to be rescued. I can totally see it now, Toby’s greeting you at the door after a long day of work, instantly helping you decompress and serotonin skyrocketing!! Take a look at this gent then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/5DMdHkcV2EM?si=n3XEG3DHjHY8O0qz Toby is estimated to be about 4 years old, something that surely contributes to the chill, easy-going vibes he brings. We love a confident, mature boy! He weighs 52 lbs and is possibly a bull terrier/ pittie mix. Of course because he is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age but I will say this, I have a bull terrier and it absolutely checks from experience, but again- not science. Target dog he may be coming for your job! Toby was introduced to a variety of dogs and although he is polite greeting on leash and all around easy-going company, we saw who he gravitated to and had a spark with. This is always nice for us to observe because if you are here looking for a dog to add to your pack or matchmaking a +1 for your current dog, you likely know what their “type”is too. So Toby’s easy, natural connection was an older female, 4-5 years old, with a very similar energy to his, easy-going, friendly but not pushy, with a quiet confidence. Although Toby would be good company, he is also the kind of dog that does not need a +1 as long as he has his people. He is pretty ideal for a family or individual looking to skip over the energetic dog days of the young years of a dog and get right to the good part- calm companionship and lots of quiet naps near by. That is going to be Toby! Plus, he is great with kids! He is fostered in a home with two kids age 3 and 8 who love snuggling up next to him and wandering around the yard together. His foster shared he is both house and crate trained and rides great in the truck! Personally, Toby went right for my heart but he is definitely my personal fave type of dog- no looks involved- vibes only. This is a dog that gives a familiar presence straight away, in a way that makes it feel like he has always been yours. When you head out on walks, no one will ever wonder how long you have had him either. He has great leash skills and keeps an easy pace, giving off “we’ve known each other forever.” Toby was introduced to our house cat during his visit and was interested but moved on quickly. Typically this would indicate a dog being cat-tolerant but in Toby’s case we are willing to test him again as we recognized in the moment, he was tired from a walk and the heat that day, factors that can give us a misleading observation. If you have a cat and are interested in Toby, please be in touch so we can truly explore if a home with feline friends is possible. Toby is also great at loading up in the car, and helping his more anxious foster siblings build up the courage to do it too! It was so cute, my heart was in a puddle on the floor. I had to scoop it right back up so I could tell you about Toby though! If an affectionate boy with chill vibes, the makings of a water-boy, and a great walking partner are what you are looking for… Toby is your guy! Story
I'm Roobie, I'm a happy 8 year old clown full of lightning fast zoomies and those classic bull terrier spins. Life excites me. I know all the usual commands. Walkies?! Yes, please! I swim great! Mom says I'm a great companion in a woodshop. I get along with the my extended dog family. Is someone at the door? I'll sound tough so you feel safe but I'm not a real barker. I'm a princess, loving my sweaters, soft dog beds, watching TV, and companionship. I love my family and they love me (since I was 1 y/o) but I need to adopt a new family because my human has a disability and my spins occasionally knock into her and her disability is worsening kinda fast now. I'm a good girl. I'd do well in a loving active house, probably with or without another dog or with older kids that won't fall.

You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
7.5 months old, adopted her at 3 months. Found abandoned in a park, brought to a neighbor, who put her up on NextDoor and five hours later she came home with me! She is the sweetest, silliest, FUNNIEST girl -- probably 5 of 7 days a week, I end up with either my face or abs sore from laughing. She needs new people because she has turned out to be a high-energy girl. Based on her appearance and vibe, neighbor lady and I were thinking pitty/labby. I've had both and known several others well, but it soon became clear that we were working with something else. Cue the DNA test: 42% boxer, 38% pit, 13% Staffy, 7% supermutt. I am now having a significant and debilitating health issue, single/live alone, and am just not able to give her as much exercise and interaction as she needs. We have given it our all, she's just not happy, and it breaks my heart. She needs 2+ people -- solo person having sick/off days really affects her. She will absolutely THRIVE with more people/activity.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to OR for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** In an unfair turn of events, Trudy found herself in need of rescue when she was surrendered by a breeder. She is good with other dogs, however she is possessive of food and toys around other dogs. So, we feel she would do best in a home by herself. Trudy does fine on walk with other dogs and hanging out with them as long as there is no toys or food involved. She loves hanging out with people and she is good with kids. Trudy truly loves to explore and is always up for an adventure, so if you're looking for an energetic and fun-loving dog, then she is the one for you. Trudy deserves a new leash on life and can't wait to start the next leg of her journey with you! The vet said she is around 3 years old, but we think she might be older. She is 41 lbs and an english bulldog. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news, and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Trudy the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $650. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Story
Bowser is an adorable, happy lowrider. He is great with kids, ok with cats and good with some other dogs (slow introductions always recommend). Bowser is young and would benefit from a strong leader who can guide him to be their best buddy. He is a true Bully... stubborn, with a rough play style. But also very loving and loyal. He loves to be with his person. Bowser loves car rides and snuggling with his people. Who wants to give this cutie a happy home? Rescued from a "shelter" in California... he's currently with a foster family in Washington.
