Story
Sweet, sweet Selma, the girl who loves everyone with enthusiasm, is ready for her forever home. Just look into those big brown eyes and your heart will be mush. With this cutie around, you will never feel lonely because she will want to be with you every chance she gets. We estimate Selma is about 1 year old and possibly a Boxer and Shepherd mix, but with rescue that’s just our best guess. She currently weighs around 50 lbs but her weight is still balancing back out after having puppies. She has been a wonderful mom to her sweet babies, but now she’s ready to enjoy the empty nest. A social butterfly through and through, she’s never met a human she doesn’t like. Yelling, crying, rambunctious kids? No problem! She is hungry for affection and is happy to get it from any human willing to dish it out. Kitties are no-go for this cutie. Selma is a bit unsure when meeting new doggy friends, but she warms up quickly. She doesn’t seem to have a lot of experience playing with other dogs, but she’s learning quickly in our play groups. She prefers to play one-on-one, or in small groups, rather than large groups. She could be happy as an only dog, or with a male doggy sibling who is either calm or moderately playful. Selma was found as a pregnant stray, and it appears she may have been a stray for a while. She is very eager to eat any food she can, and will try to steal food from the counter or your hands. She hasn’t learned to take treats gently yet. She is equally hungry for love and will jump up for affection. Can you blame a girl for wanting love and snacks? What girl isn’t hungry for love and snacks, really? Pretty easy on a leash, she’ll be great to take on walks. She does love to stop and smell the roses, and she would love to sniff every dog she passes too, but she doesn’t pull hard and is pretty easy to correct. She is potty trained and crate trained, although she may need a little patience learning a new environment. Selma is a very happy-go-lucky, pie in the sky kind of girl. She’s a little silly and incredibly affectionate. If you have endless love and snacks to give, she will reward you with all of her love and devotion. Apply now to bring this cutie home! Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to their forever home in the PNW or NE areas. Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments. Story
Rob Roy is a very smart puppy dog! He learns commands quickly, is great in a crate, and sleeps through the night without much fuss. He has a lot of energy and can be quite talkative, but one of his favorite pastimes is to be cuddled up on the couch sleeping. Rob Roy would love structure and consistency, in his life, to help with his confidence and sense security. He will need to continue his training as he is young and without much training prior to finding his foster dad. He is very gentle with adults and children and loves being brushed. In typical boxer fashion he sometimes plays a bit too rough with other dogs, so a house with smaller dogs may not be ideal. Rob Roy has taken quickly to house training, and going outside to potty. He is very good on a leash as well, he would make a good hiking or running buddy!

We got Abby from a friend when she was around 6 months old. We were told she is a pure bred, but have not had that confirmed. She has not had any litters. Shes about 2.5 years old now. This girl is a ball of energy, once she trusts you she loves you hard. She does chase our cats around but has never harmed them. Is GREAT around kids (see picture). We have noticed that she is shy around males. We have never had her inside our home, so I cant say how shell be indoors. Were looking for a home for her where she can be loved and have a companion.

Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am almost 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

*AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY* Meet Remy! A face everyone can LOVE! Literally, it is soooo squishy and then that smile. Can you already tell we are a little bit obsessed?! Smart, potty trained, crate trained, dog friendly, INSANELY cuddly and squishy! Remy is truly a special boy!! He shares, he basks, he rolls, he strolls, he sleeps, and he snores lol Every person at the Rescue has loved this boy. He has spent many hours with staff, volunteers, and his former foster mama. He has easily made us fall in love with him. We know you will too after watching his videos and learning more about him! You can see all of this in his adoption movie! https://youtu.be/S9ytDSfe-C4 Watch his gentle play style with his foster brother here: https://youtu.be/YOjcR4K8-M0?si=xVhITLrH7OuDHNiD Watch his gentle demeanor and energy level in a home here: https://youtu.be/bgT33dkmhEg?si=M1N26X7J0feVtRRp Remy is a ladies man but enjoys his male humans too! He just needs slow introductions and time to warm up. He needs time to slowly check them out then he’ll be your BFF and instant playmate. This boy is truly a loyal king. Once he earns your trust he will be your BFF FOREVER! This big hunk of love would do best in a home with no cats. He was a little too interested in the cats at his last foster home and tried to chase them. He was only trying to incite play and looking to have some fun! He has learned to sit and stay! He loves to play fetch and his favorite toy is anything that squeaks. He has learned to potty in the same place in the yard each time at his foster moms house. He is very treat motivated so continued training should be a piece of cake! He’s such a smart boy! He doesn’t jump and has a soft mouth. Saint Remy does great on a leash and would love to accompany his new person/family on walks and hikes. He also rides well in the car. He sits, lays, or watches out the window. At times he gets up and sneaks up for a kiss. He would love a fenced in yard where he can roam and fetch a ball! Even if it’s just him tossing the ball to himself! We believe Remy would do well in a home with another dog that matches his energy but he can certainly be the center of attention and the only dog. He has lived with large males both playful and more calm. He loves to romp around and share his toys. He has always been the submissive one of the bunch. He isn’t a vocal boy so living in a condo/townhome environment would be fine as long as he receives plenty of toys and gets that much needed time to bask in the sun and daily walks (more like strolls). Story
Meet Beth Marie – the epitome of easy love and charm! 🐾 This thick, adorable girl is a staff favorite at the rescue, and it's easy to see why. With a smile that sometimes gets her lip stuck on her teeth (adorable, right?), Beth Marie is just herself – and that's perfection! She is the ultimate house hippo. She is very laid-back and so easy to have around. She's a toy enthusiast who can entertain herself without needing to be confined at home. Trustworthy and well-mannered, Beth Marie is a breeze to have around. She's confident, carefree, and joyful, making her the perfect companion for any family. Plus, she's potty trained, crate trained, and great with kids! Beth Marie is a social butterfly who loves people to bits. Her tail never stops wagging, especially when you talk to her. A true best friend kind of dog, she rides in the car like a human, enjoying the scenery, and behaves impeccably in public. Ultimate paradise for Beth Marie? Snuggling up on the couch with you. She's not in your face but will happily lay across your lap or snuggle up next to you. With gentle kisses and a heart full of love, she'll adore having a relationship with you. Beth Marie is also great with kids, as proven by her relaxed demeanor around a three- and five-year-old. She's content to hang out while they have a tea party or join in the fun. Here’s her personality: https://youtu.be/eKJUq5vyGaQ?si=59-mtl7r25zUuXpw Watch another video here: https://youtu.be/gFRkX0aM6XI One of Beth Marie’s most admirable qualities is her ease on the leash. Taking her for a walk is a breeze, as she gracefully glides alongside you. She's a dog-friendly gal but would thrive as your one and only pet. At about 4 years old and 70lbs, Beth Marie's beautiful green eyes and perpetual smile will capture your heart. While she loves her crate, she's also happy curling up on the couch behind all the pillows. Beth Marie is not destructive and can be left alone during the day, making her the perfect furry companion for any loving home! 🏡❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/646fc5bd9f1b3a49ec0640f7 Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there!
