Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Breed: Bull Mastiff mix Weight: 84 lbs Personality: Very sweet and cuddly! He is very pleasant to walk if there are no other dogs in the area. He is learning to be more confident and less reactive. Education: Good with bathroom and leash training and is working on leash reactivity Favorite Activities: Tug of war, long night walks, hanging out in the kitchen Looking for: An active family who will love him and play with him! Some patient training will help him be the best boy ever! He will do best as an only dog right now. Hippo likes routine so someone who can create some structure for him would be ideal to help with his anxiety! A family with kids would be good, too - he has been great with kids of all ages, even with toddlers! A home with a backyard in a quiet neighborhood would be great! Special needs: Current medication to help with separation anxiety Prozac (fluoxetine) (~$5.00). Monthly cost depending on where purchased and market value. Adoption Fee: $ 250 ##1733826##

Story
Our dogs had an accidental litter with 11 puppies born 3/1/24 and we did our best to find good homes for all of them. Unfortunately, we were unable to find Mint a forever home before she grew out of the puppy stage. We decided to keep her, but female Neapolitan mastiffs rarely get along and that is the case with Mint and her mom. They have to be kept completely separate and it has caused Mint to not receive the love and attention she deserves. Mint gets along with 2 of our male dogs but not 1 that also has a reactive personality. With training she will be an amazing guardian as she definitely has the intensity of the Neapolitan mastiffs. But, we caution having her around other dogs. She loves her people family and is so excited to see us. She is good with our kids and grandkids. She is wary of strangers and will growl, so please be prepared for a slow warm up when you meet her. She is crate trained. She really Is the sweetest girl that deserves a lot of attention and a forever family!
