FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Hooty! Hooty is a 3-year-old, 14 lb Cairn Terrier mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This adorable little guy is full of personality, always seems to have a smile on his face, and is ready to find a family that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit! Hooty is sweet, happy, and endlessly charming. He loves being around his people just as much as he loves making new dog friends. Whether he’s curled up in your lap soaking up cuddles or heading out for his next adventure, Hooty is happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing. This spunky little guy has plenty of energy and enjoys daily walks, exploring new places, and staying active. He walks well on leash and would thrive in a home that embraces an adventurous lifestyle and is committed to keeping him well-socialized and mentally engaged. Hooty has done great with other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with. His outgoing, social personality makes him a joy to be around, and he’d do well with another playful dog or as an only dog with adopters who will continue providing him with regular opportunities to socialize and get out into the world. If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate companion who’s always ready for the next walk, cuddle session, or adventure, Hooty is your guy! Hooty is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
I adopted this sweet boy as an emotional support animal a few months ago. And he really is loving, devoted, cuddly and playful. But I have some health issues and live in a very small apartment and just cant keep up with his energy. In ideal setting would be a home with a yard and an owner capable of numerous walks per day and ample energy for playtime. We've been through. Lot in the past month. I knew i couldnt keep up with energy so i took him to a no kill shelter. After crying for a week thinking about him in a cage i went back and readopted him until i can find a better home. I am only asking a rehomung fee to help cover the cost of his shots and neutering and to ensure the adopter is serious. He has a lot of energy and craves attention. He is posted on craigslist spokane and a neighborhood website.

Story
Meet Miles — a young, scruffy puppy currently estimated to be 3 months old and weighing around 10 pounds. We believe this little one may be a Cairn Terrier mix, but as with many rescue pups, their exact breed blend is unknown. What we can say for sure is that Miles is 100% deserving of a loving home. Miles is currently thriving and is beginning to explore the world through play, naps, mealtime routines, and gentle socialization. While he has that adorable, wiry, scruffy coat, his personality is incredibly lovable and chill for a pup his age. Like most puppies, life right now revolves around eating, sleeping, learning, and building bonds with people. Every day brings a new experience, and with it, Miles is developing the foundation for becoming a confident and well-adjusted adult dog. You can see his sweet personality in action here: https://youtu.be/UpFE-bk0Z5s We understand that bringing a puppy home is a big decision, and we want to set both you and Miles up for success. Puppies require time, patience, and consistency. Miles will benefit from Crate Training & Structure, helping him feel secure in his own space, continuing to build his relaxed, teaching him important life skills like potty training, leash walking, and basic manners. It’s important to keep in mind that puppies may grow into active, intelligent dogs who thrive with regular mental and physical stimulation. Even a chill pup like Miles will need adopters who are prepared to meet those needs with training, play, and engagement—not just now, but through adulthood. If you’re ready to invest in the journey and build a lasting relationship with a sweet, scruffy best friend, Miles might be the perfect match. ✨ Meet Emma — Proof that joy can survive anything ✨ If you want to meet a dog whose soul defies everything she’s been through… meet Emma. Found as a stray in Mexico with only patches of fur left after severe mange, this little girl is living, wagging proof that happiness lies within, no matter the circumstances. At just 3.5 years old, Emma has already endured more than most dogs ever will. People walked past her. People looked away. Some still do — because her skin still has a few bald spots, and that’s all they see. But what they miss is everything that makes Emma extraordinary: 💛 The way she lights up a room with her fast, joyful spins when it’s mealtime 💛 How she leaps with pure happiness every time she sees you 💛 The gentle way she tucks herself against your side, asking for nothing but love 💛 Her resilience, her softness, her unbroken spirit Emma is still shy and crouches when someone approaches too quickly or when loud noises remind her of a past she should’ve never had. Only she knows what people did to her before she was rescued… but even after all of that, she chose to trust again. And now she deserves the best home in the whole wide world. One filled with patience, kindness, tenderness, and someone who understands that healing takes time — but loving her comes easy. Emma is safe. She is loved. And she is ready for her forever person. If you see her heart before her scars, you’ll never find a more loyal, grateful, or beautiful companion.

Story
**Say Hello To Kenzie** Kenzie is a gentle 3-year-old Cairn Terrier mix looking for a loving forever home. She has faced some challenges and now hopes to find someone who will walk with her, cuddle with her, and care for her every day. Kenzie is currently being fostered in Marysville, WA. We are looking for adopters who can come to Arlington to meet her and complete the adoption process.   Kenzie is a sweet and loving 12-pound dog who would love to find a family to call her own.   Kenzie has been with us for a year. She arrived pregnant, cared for her puppies, and saw each one find a forever home. We will never forget how patient and gentle Kenzie was with her little ones—she would gather them around her and quietly nudge them to sleep, always making sure everyone was safe and comfortable. One particularly sweet moment was when Kenzie let a nervous new foster puppy snuggle up with her and her own pups, showing just how warm and welcoming she can be. She was especially close to her daughter Sofie, and we originally hoped they would be adopted together. Now that Sofie is in a foster home and Kenzie is doing well on her own, we are looking for a family just for Kenzie this summer.   Kenzie would be happy as an only dog or as part of a family with other friendly dogs. She gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue.   Kenzie is very affectionate and enjoys being around people. She loves spending time in your lap or next to you, cuddled. Kenzie loves being talked to and brushed daily.   If you would like to meet or adopt Kenzie, please visit our website to fill out an application and get started. After you submit the application, our team will review it and reach out to discuss next steps, which usually include a phone call, a meet-and-greet with Kenzie, and a brief home visit to ensure a good fit. We aim to make the process friendly and straightforward. Take the next step.   **Adopting Kenzie **  To   adopt Kenzie,   please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Missy has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee is $550.00 for both Kenzie and includes Kenzie's spay, vaccines, rabies, and a microchip.   https://smallpupsrescue.org   July 9, 2026, 3:15 pm

Story
Meet Mari! Mari is a female Cairn Terrier mix who can’t wait to find her new forever home. Weighing a petite18 lbs, Mari is gentle, sweet, and loving. She is approximately 5 years old. She is spayed, and up to date on her shots. Cairn Terriers are known for their charming, spirited, and bold personalities. Mari is both playful and affectionate. She is a good fit if you appreciate liveliness and snuggling.  She has plenty of energy and loves to play, making her a joy for families and active individuals.  Cairn Terriers are intelligent and can seem stubborn. She is smart and learns quickly. She can also be a bit independent-minded. Consistent training is key!  What makes Mari wonderful is her curious and adventurous attitude. Her inquisitive nature makes her a natural explorer. Mari is loyal and she likes to form strong bonds with her family.  She likes to stay close and always knows where home is. One of Mari’s favorite pastimes is a good snooze on cozy dog beds or comfy blankets.  She doesn’t mind sleeping with little disturbances in her own space. She can happily sleep in her own room and prefers her own bed.  Mari enjoys a good brushing, and it relaxes her instantly.   Despite Mari’s small size, she has a big, fearless attitude which is common in Cairn Terriers.   Mari is brave and confident. She often thinks of herself as much larger than she is. She’s good with other dogs in the dog park. However, she is known to dominate other dogs who look like her.  She also enjoys some time in front of the mirror and appreciates her reflection.  Because of Mari’s dominant nature, she is leash reactive.   She is fine with other dogs when her leash is not attached but will become more assertive if she is near another dog while on her leash.  Her leash reactivity needs work and she needs a competent handler who is motivated to help her learn. Mari loves tasty treats and will hold off on her scheduled meals in hopes of something worthy of her palate.  Mari does not have accidents inside. However, be watchful for the first five nights as she is sorting out her surroundings.   Mari is perfect for someone who enjoys an energetic, snuggly, and entertaining companion. Mari is not suitable for a home with smaller children. She likes her space at times and prefers a more calm setting. She is not suited for a home with cats or other small critters. Her adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
