I have a pretty little face, big curious eyes, and a personality that makes me pretty hard to resist! I’m a playful, curious girl who loves exploring, chasing toys, and having fun with my kitten friends. Once playtime is over, I’m happy to slow down and enjoy some attention from my people. I’ve been raised in a loving home, so I’m comfortable being around people and getting lots of love. I haven’t met any dogs yet, so if my forever family has a dog, I’ll need a slow and patient introduction while I learn that dogs can be friends too. I’m looking for a wonderful family who will give me plenty of playtime, cuddles, and love. Hi, I’m Penelope I’m a beautiful Tabico with a heart as lovely as my unique coloring. My coat looks like a little patchwork quilt, with soft patches of yellow, brown, and grey woven together. Sadly, I was abandoned locked in a cage with 5 other cats. This heartbreaking beginning has not damaged my sweet and gentle spirit and my ability to trust. I love to be picked up and I snuggle right up to my humans. I know how to play too and especially enjoy chasing balls with my twin sister, Athena. I’m spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Despite everything I’ve been through, I am calm, trusting and ready to love my new family. My family is looking to re-home Toast because we don’t have to time to care for her the way she should be anymore. My husband and I just welcomed a baby into the world a few months ago and as first time parents it’s hard to navigate a new baby and a 1 year old cat. Toast is great. She loves to snuggle, she loves pets, she will play with you! She is good with kids and other cats Toast is just like most cats where she will scratch things so keep your belongings tucked away or make sure to have scratching posts available for her. She enjoys talking sometimes so hopefully you are okay with a chatty kitty every now and then. She is a great cat. Toast used to be an indoor house cat but she did start going outside and she really enjoys it. She does need her shots updated for this year. I have all of her records with me that I will give to you if you decide to make Toast your forever kitty.

Meet Dinkers! Dinkers is an approximately five-year-old long-haired Calico female. She has quite the story and we are very relieved to have her safe at Chi Town Rescue. Dinkers is looking for a patient and secure home environment that will let Dinkers be Dinkers (ie, kinda sassy)! Dinkers' former owner has had her since she was a kitten. Although it's clear that she loved her, her owner struggles with addiction issues and has been homeless/in and out of jail. Through a long story, we became involved with Dinkers while her owner was trying to get back on her feet and housed her for about six months before returning her to her owner. Unfortunately, this wasn't Dinkers' happy ending. She ended up back out on the streets and at one point lost. Her former owner asked us to help again, and we were very relieved when someone found Dinkers in their backyard, after months of searching for her. Dinkers has lost some weight but has a good appetite and will be back in shape in no time. It's understandable, given Dinkers' past, that she doesn't warm up to people so quick. She takes some time to get to know you and likes some volunteers better than others. Her former owner said she has always been sassy like that (it must be the Calico in her!). Dinkers' favorite spots at rescue are in the windowsill, or in a cubby. She is mostly indifferent to the other cats in the room, but isn't terribly fond of the new kitten who is always in her business. ;-) Dinkers loves tasty treats and they help her warm up to new people. She has the cutest little "meow" and if you're lucky, she will say hello to you! If you are an experienced cat owner who enjoys a feisty Calico, come meet Dinkers! This sweet girl (named Peaches for her orange spots) is incredibly affectionate, purrs constantly, loves to be pet, playing, exploring, and curling up for attention. She has also been around dogs and does well with them!She has tested negative for FIV, but positive for FeLV twice on a SNAP test. Further testing is recommended to confirm her FeLV status. Because I have another older cat, I cannot keep her due to the risk of transmission and have to rehome her. I have two orange and white (from the same litter) 9 month old kittens for adoption. Really sweet and cute they are bonded so I’m hoping they can stay together. My allergies won’t allow me to keep them much longer. Shots are up to date and they are both neutered. The rehoming fee Includes some litter box and litter genie, scratching post and toys.

What Jupiter needs: He thrives on affection and will let you know when he wants attention — he’s vocal and not shy about it. He does best in a calm environment and cannot be confined to a single room; he needs the freedom to roam and will become very distressed if locked in. He will do best as the only pet in the home, where he can be the center of attention he deserves. Why is he being rehomed?
