Amai is a beautiful calico cat - perfectly colored for Halloween - her birth month. She is three and a half years old and is sweet and affectionate.  She is quite a talker, letting you know that she is happy.  She enjoys running around the house and then spending time looking out the window.  Amai does scare easily and will hide from strangers.  She will need time to get to know you.  She needs a calm, quiet environment where she can be the center of your attention.  She is nervous around other cats and would not do well with dogs.  Amai is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.  Her adoption fee is $100.00.September 26, 2026, 2:32 pm

I have been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and my Felv test was negative. Meet Dinkers! Dinkers is an approximately five-year-old long-haired Calico female. She has quite the story and we are very relieved to have her safe at Chi Town Rescue. Dinkers is looking for a patient and secure home environment that will let Dinkers be Dinkers (ie, kinda sassy)! Dinkers' former owner has had her since she was a kitten. Although it's clear that she loved her, her owner struggles with addiction issues and has been homeless/in and out of jail. Through a long story, we became involved with Dinkers while her owner was trying to get back on her feet and housed her for about six months before returning her to her owner. Unfortunately, this wasn't Dinkers' happy ending. She ended up back out on the streets and at one point lost. Her former owner asked us to help again, and we were very relieved when someone found Dinkers in their backyard, after months of searching for her. Dinkers has lost some weight but has a good appetite and will be back in shape in no time. It's understandable, given Dinkers' past, that she doesn't warm up to people so quick. She takes some time to get to know you and likes some volunteers better than others. Her former owner said she has always been sassy like that (it must be the Calico in her!). Dinkers' favorite spots at rescue are in the windowsill, or in a cubby. She is mostly indifferent to the other cats in the room, but isn't terribly fond of the new kitten who is always in her business. ;-) Dinkers loves tasty treats and they help her warm up to new people. She has the cutest little "meow" and if you're lucky, she will say hello to you! If you are an experienced cat owner who enjoys a feisty Calico, come meet Dinkers! Hi, I’m Penelope I’m a beautiful Tabico with a heart as lovely as my unique coloring. My coat looks like a little patchwork quilt, with soft patches of yellow, brown, and grey woven together. Sadly, I was abandoned locked in a cage with 5 other cats. This heartbreaking beginning has not damaged my sweet and gentle spirit and my ability to trust. I love to be picked up and I snuggle right up to my humans. I know how to play too and especially enjoy chasing balls with my twin sister, Athena. I’m spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Despite everything I’ve been through, I am calm, trusting and ready to love my new family. I get along well with my kitten friends and will make the same effort to accept other friendly pets in my new home. Come meet me. I have a way of quietly stealing your heart. My family is looking to re-home Toast because we don’t have to time to care for her the way she should be anymore. My husband and I just welcomed a baby into the world a few months ago and as first time parents it’s hard to navigate a new baby and a 1 year old cat. Toast is great. She loves to snuggle, she loves pets, she will play with you! She is good with kids and other cats Toast is just like most cats where she will scratch things so keep your belongings tucked away or make sure to have scratching posts available for her. She enjoys talking sometimes so hopefully you are okay with a chatty kitty every now and then. She is a great cat. Toast used to be an indoor house cat but she did start going outside and she really enjoys it. She does need her shots updated for this year. I have all of her records with me that I will give to you if you decide to make Toast your forever kitty.

Cami is ready for her forever home. She’s a beautiful calico girl, born approximately 11/5/2021. Cami’s spine is damaged but she gets around just fine. She does need her bladder and bowels expressed. She’s on a good routine now and spends the day in a diaper and sleeps without a diaper in a kennel at night. She’s a little shy with new people and she loves other gentle kitties. Dotty Minerva is a sweet and gentle adult lady who is looking to be the only cat in the home without other cats or dogs. She wants all the attention for herself!
