A tight, non-breakable plastic collar had embedded into her neck, a harsh reminder of a past that didn’t show her the kindness she deserved. But despite it all, Venus is healing—both physically and emotionally. She’s learning, day by day, that people can be gentle and surroundings can be safe. While she’s still a little reserved when it comes to pets and kisses, she’s made it clear she knows what love looks like: she’ll happily rub up against your legs the second she hears a can of wet food crack open. Kalani is a dilute calico, tabby. She is very sweet and lovable. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with toys and loves interactive toys. She especially loves to bird watch out a window or bat balls across a room. She is shy at first but warms up to people quickly. She doesn't love to be picked up and held, but does love petting and attention and purrs while being petted and will roll onto her back for belly rubs. She gets along with most cats after a very slow introduction. She would do best in a quiet home. Kalani has had a full-mouth extraction due to Stomatitis.
