Story
I took in the mother cat who had kittens and I have been raising them for the past couple of months. Clare and her sister Elly have been such a fun and loving pair to care for, but unfortunately, I no longer have the time, money, or energy to give them the attention they deserve. Clare is playful, curious, and full of personality. She loves to explore and chase toys, but she also enjoys curling up nearby once she’s had her fun. She’s friendly and social, warming up quickly to new people and showing her affectionate side in no time. Clare would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys both playtime and quiet cuddles. P.S. (I'm willing to Zelle $25 to make sure she has their first months food)

Story
I adopted her at a year old. She is independent and enjoys cuddling in the evenings. She likes to lay by my feet at night. She is six years old. She likes dry food and treats. She doesn’t eat any wet food. She is easy-going and quiet. She likes to play with a fishing toy that has feathers. She likes to chill in places like a cabinet, underneath the bed, or on a comfortable cushion. She is curious about the world. She is fun, loving. She’s been living with two boy cats. Previously there was a dog in the home before I adopted her. Love on her and she will love on you :-) thank you.

She's very friendly and loves to be rubbed. I gave her some toys and she likes them. She just showed up in my neighborhood about 3 months ago. I already have 2 cats on a special diet and can't afford another one. Plus my cats don't like her 😒. I just want her to go to a nice home where she will be loved and cared for. I can't seem to upload anymore pictures but if you want more I can text them to you.

Story
Mocha was found in a Starbucks drive thru July 15, 2024, with partial of her umbilical cord attached so I believe she was born about July 12, 2024. She was bottled fed until about 5 weeks and she had a GREAT appetite! She is litter box trained and took to it naturally. I did put unknown because at about 6 months when she first started going in to heat, I started leaving town often and she started peeing on my counters, if there’s a pile of clothes or towels then she will pee on it and toys, luggage. She won’t pee on soft blankets, she sucks on them and “makes bread”. I think she just needs to be fixed and I can’t afford it and my man is allergic. She’s a character, very playful with my other cat but not starting fights(my older cat is 11 and can be a b****) Mocha knows when to stop. She’ll play with my kids but sometimes Mocha takes it too far(kids are 2&5, rowdy) Mocha hisses at dogs but is still curious so will come around. She lays on my chest & licks ALOT. VERY loving so it’s hard.

Story
Subaru – Sweet, Shy, and Full of Heart Subaru may be the smallest of her litter, but don’t let her petite frame fool you — she’s full of heart, quiet curiosity, and gentle charm. And look at that adorable mustache!! Rescued from underneath a car at a mechanic shop, Subaru and her siblings were born to a young momma cat and faced an uncertain start, arriving underweight and dehydrated. But Subaru is a fighter — and today, she’s thriving. This little sun-worshipper loves nothing more than curling up in a sunbeam for her afternoon naps. While she’s still shy around people, Subaru is blossoming every day in her foster home. She’s especially curious when her foster mom films her — she’ll stare right into the camera, as if she knows she’s the star. With patience and love, she’s already beginning to show her gentle, affectionate side. Subaru is a playful girl who can’t resist the laser pointer, string toys, and chasing balls (or her siblings) around the house. She finds comfort in the company of other cats and would do best in a home with feline companions to help her continue growing in confidence. After all, Subaru means unite in Japanese! Churu kitten treats are the way to her heart — offer her one, and you might just make a new best friend. If you're a cat lover with a peaceful home and a soft spot for quiet, sweet souls, Subaru could be your perfect match. Give this little survivor the forever home she deserves — and she’ll return the favor with a lifetime of quiet love and sunlit snuggles.

Story
Meet Venus: A Mighty Aphrodite with a Survivor’s Spirit At just two years old, Venus has already lived a life worthy of legend. This striking calico beauty was discovered under a trailer near a mechanic’s shop — malnourished, terrified, and doing everything she could to protect her kittens. A tight, non-breakable plastic collar had embedded into her neck, a harsh reminder of a past that didn’t show her the kindness she deserved. But despite it all, Venus is healing—both physically and emotionally. She’s learning, day by day, that people can be gentle and surroundings can be safe. While she’s still a little reserved when it comes to pets and kisses, she’s made it clear she knows what love looks like: she’ll happily rub up against your legs the second she hears a can of wet food crack open. Venus is an independent soul with quiet strength. She’s not much for toys yet—survival didn’t leave room for play—but we believe with time and patience, she’ll discover how fun the world can be. For now, she enjoys peaceful naps on the piano or sofa, and stretches luxuriously on the floor after a good meal. She’s content sharing her space with other cats and would thrive in a calm, loving home that respects her pace. While not a lap cat, Venus will reward your care and compassion with quiet companionship and the satisfaction of watching a once-wary cat bloom. Give this feline goddess of love and beauty the second chance she so deeply deserves—she’s more than ready to find her forever sanctuary.

Story
Hi there, my name is Clefairy!I’m a quiet, gentle guy who’s just starting to learn what it means to feel safe and comfortable indoors. For most of my life, I lived outdoors on a ranch, with lots of space to roam but not much interaction with people. I’m more reserved, observant, and I take my time getting used to new things. Over the past few months, I’ve been slowly adjusting to the idea of being an indoor cat. I’m beginning to enjoy the small comforts in life: a cozy place to rest, soft voices, and the gentle presence of kind people. It’s still all pretty new to me, but I’m learning every day! I really enjoy the company of other cats- I feel more confident and relaxed when I have a calm feline friend around. I would do best in a home with another cat who can help me continue to feel safe and settled!I’m looking for a quiet, patient home where I’ll be given time and space to come out of my shell. If you have a peaceful environment, a kind heart, and a friendly cat who might welcome a companion, I’d love the chance to grow with you! Please email jskinner@aawl.org to set up a meet & greet with me!Meet me at AAWL`s Main Shelter!25 N. 40th StPhoenix AZ 85034602-273-6852Adoption Hours:Monday - ClosedTuesday - Friday & Sunday - 11:30am - 6:00pmSaturday - 10:30am - 6:00pm.AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.

Hello, I`m Yale!I`m a shy kitty who`s still working on getting used to humans. I`m looking for a cat savvy home that will help me blossom into the best adult cat I can be. While it may be hard to resist my adorable little face, please remember that we kittens require lots of time, energy, and attention while we are still learning the ropes and exploring our environment! Come ask about me today!I would do best in a home where my humans are willing to give me time and space to be able to adjust to my new home, at my own pace.
