Hi! My name is Nellie, and I am a sweet Domestic Shorthair tabico girl who is a beautiful blend of playful energy and quiet affection! Just like my sister Nora, I can be a little shy at first, but I absolutely melt when you talk to me in a soft, gentle voice. I can be picked up easily, and I love to come over and interact with you whenever you are sitting or laying down. I'm also a very smart girl who comes running the second you call out for the "babies"! I love staying active and play wonderfully with the other kittens, but I am also perfectly content to independentally entertain myself with cardboard scratchers and crinkle toys when everyone else is fast asleep. I can make absolutely anything into a toy just by batting it around with my paws! After a good play session, you can usually find me lounging away as I sleep on the very top of the cat tower. I am already fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and once I am given just a little time to adjust, I will do well with children, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs! I am so excited to find a patient, loving forever family to grow up with.

Hi, I’m Penelope I’m a beautiful Tabico with a heart as lovely as my unique coloring. My coat looks like a little patchwork quilt, with soft patches of yellow, brown, and grey woven together. Sadly, I was abandoned locked in a cage with 5 other cats. This heartbreaking beginning has not damaged my sweet and gentle spirit and my ability to trust. I love to be picked up and I snuggle right up to my humans. I know how to play too and especially enjoy chasing balls with my twin sister, Athena. I’m spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Despite everything I’ve been through, I am calm, trusting and ready to love my new family. I get along well with my kitten friends and will make the same effort to accept other friendly pets in my new home. Come meet me. I have a way of quietly stealing your heart. Meet Dinkers! Dinkers is an approximately five-year-old long-haired Calico female. She has quite the story and we are very relieved to have her safe at Chi Town Rescue. Dinkers is looking for a patient and secure home environment that will let Dinkers be Dinkers (ie, kinda sassy)! Dinkers' former owner has had her since she was a kitten. Although it's clear that she loved her, her owner struggles with addiction issues and has been homeless/in and out of jail. Through a long story, we became involved with Dinkers while her owner was trying to get back on her feet and housed her for about six months before returning her to her owner. Unfortunately, this wasn't Dinkers' happy ending. She ended up back out on the streets and at one point lost. Her former owner asked us to help again, and we were very relieved when someone found Dinkers in their backyard, after months of searching for her. Dinkers has lost some weight but has a good appetite and will be back in shape in no time. It's understandable, given Dinkers' past, that she doesn't warm up to people so quick. She takes some time to get to know you and likes some volunteers better than others. Her former owner said she has always been sassy like that (it must be the Calico in her!). Dinkers' favorite spots at rescue are in the windowsill, or in a cubby. She is mostly indifferent to the other cats in the room, but isn't terribly fond of the new kitten who is always in her business. ;-) Dinkers loves tasty treats and they help her warm up to new people. I am a beautiful calico and I am very shy. Give me a chance in a loving environment and I can come around to being your new best friend. I was found to be friendly during a large trapping event. I have been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and my Felv test was negative. Amai is a beautiful calico cat - perfectly colored for Halloween - her birth month. She is three and a half years old and is sweet and affectionate.  She is quite a talker, letting you know that she is happy.  She enjoys running around the house and then spending time looking out the window.  Amai does scare easily and will hide from strangers.  She will need time to get to know you.  She needs a calm, quiet environment where she can be the center of your attention.  She is nervous around other cats and would not do well with dogs.  Amai is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.  Her adoption fee is $100.00.September 21, 2026, 11:40 pm

Hi and our Sweet Josie girl is ready for A Special forever home & has been raised by us and her sweet Mama has done an Amazing job of starting them out Healthy & Happy also. Josie is 6 months old. Her Mama surprised us with 6 kittens & we Gladly added them to our family, but we can’t possibly keep them all. Josie has been raised with older cats and raised around toddler children and has done well with all of them. She’s loving and sweet and kind. She has a favorite brother who is 🐱Finnegan who is a Chill like her , a dark tabby kitten. So she gets along very well with all cats.Josie has Gorgeous calico markings. 🥰 She is shy at first.. Then when she feels comfortable, she is funny and silly and plays with her favorite pink monkey, stuffed animal and ribbons and cat toys. She eats well both canned and dry food and likes little cat treats also. And she would make a lovely addition to anyone’s home 🥰

Dot is the sis in a brother/sister bonded pair. She is about two years old. We werent looking for pets and kinda ended up with them both by accident. Dot is incredibly sweet. She has several spots in the house where she seems to think its her time (one spot on the couch, when I am on the computer such as now) for getting pets. She has a tendency when she is comfortable to make biscuits and suck on the blanket. During those times, she will sit for as long as you will pet her. She is short haired cat and is litter box trained. We have never had cats before and everyone that comes to visit goes out of way to tell us how friendly Dot and her brother, Tigger, are. Maybe everyone else has jerk cats lol. She is spayed. My mom now lives with us and some of our kids friends are allergic as well. If not for the dander issue, we wouldnt even consider rehoming them. We do want them to go to loving homes, so we will be keeping them and dealing with the allergies until then.

Tigger is the brotehr in a brother/sister bonded pair. He is about 2 years old. He is neutered and litter box trained. He is a very well mannered and friendly cat. Does not typically get on counters of any sort. Everyone tells us he is super firendly. I often (nightly perhaps even) wake up with him laying beside me. He is friendly enough that I can cradle him like a baby and rub his belly (although, my wife cannot say the same). He is the one that was nominated to come get me during the day for food. He has a mew that means food and he has one that means he wants to be petted. He will call me and make me follow him for either. He also tries to reach our door handles. We really love both of these cats and we are the only family they have ever known. If not for the dander and allergy issues, we would be keeping them. Of utmost importance is finding a loving home for them both.
