Story
Telly is a delight to live with 100% of the time. There's never a dull moment with Telly around! Shes actually very easygoing. As a curious bottle baby with a can-do attitude and athletic body, Telly doesnt understand the concept of boundaries but that makes her a perfectly normal and entertaining young cat. She purrs readily, plays happily, and is very gentle. This petite calico makes amazing biscuits and is great company. You may have seen her on WCAL's social media! She loves her humans and is an amazing young cat. We're looking for an adopter who won't mind providing Telly with a special diet and attentive care.Found all alone in Napa, Telly came to WCAL from an AT&T maintenance yard as an itty bitty baby who needed to be bottle-fed.We had some trouble weaning this kitty from a bottle onto canned food because she wasn't able to keep solids down at first. Working closely with our vet, we determined it was likely a food allergy causing occasional vomiting and indolent ulcers (also called eosinophilic granulomas). Telly eats a special diet of hydrolyzed protein kibbles, which is working well to keep her sensitive and adorable little body happy. She occasionally needs a round of prednisone if she has a flare-up. The most common reason for issues like this in special kitties like Telly is stress in their home or a food or flea allergy. If you would enjoy sharing your home with an outspoken calico princess and understand that Telly needs to continue this special diet to keep her feeling her best, then we have the loving, athletic kitten for you! This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have bottle-raised. Kittens raised by humans are extra comfortable around people and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and we are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoorsonlyfor life. Story
Dusty is sponsored by Sonja Amato SNAP Cats rescued Dusty from Merced, CA. Dusty is the sweetest kitten ever!!! She’s always looking for your attention, loves pets and gets along with all of the others here. Despite her twisted rear legs, Dusty gets around just fine, can climb up cat trees and stairs. However, Dusty’s kinda incontinent. She tries to use the box when she pees, but she leaves “Dusty Droppings” of poop wherever she goes. If you’re interested in Dusty please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.April 7, 2025, 3:48 pm

Story
Matilde is sponsored by: Alice Weigel SNAP Cats rescued Matilde from Mozambique, Africa. Matilde is a very sweet kitty. She’ll greet you when you come in the room, and solicit pets until it’s enough. She is a Calico after all. Matilde gets along well with other cats or will fit in nicely as an only cat. BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Matilde will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of her. Matilde's not aggressive toward other cats so there's no chance of her transmitting it. If you’re interested in Matilde please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.October 15, 2024, 5:39 pm

Story
GiGi is sponsored by: Michael Snider SNAP Cats rescued GiGI from Palm Springs, CA. This girl is all Calico! And you know what THAT means. Sweet one minute; not so sweet the next. Age has mellowed her a bit, but she still has that edge that makes calicos, well, calicos. The perfect home? A calm, kid-free environment with a high perch and a window to watch the birds outside would be ideal. Oh, and wet food. GiGi LOVES wet food. Gotta have that! The right flavor, of course. Which varies from day to day. Of course. If you’re interested in May please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Story
Yang is one of the more talented feline vocalists in WCAL's adoption program. They have identified at least 5 distinctly different sounds this adorable kitty can make! Each one is better than the last. Sometimes, it's a simple hello or welcome home, and other times, it's a detailed and poetic bird call. Mostly Yang is asking for more belly rubs or snuggling in closer and expressing gratitude for sharing the covers. While Yang may be considered "shy" around strangers, that's absolutely not the case with her foster family anymore. She'll warm up just fine with our tips & tricks and make a lucky cat lover supremely happy. Yang likes to carry a mouse toy in her mouth and she's always happy for belly rubs.Yang and her sister Yin were found cold and wet in a ditch by a gardener and we weren't sure if they'd both pull through. They have both made a wonderful recovery and are now happy and healthy. They got a lot of TLC from their foster family. They are becoming more confident by the day, but aren't quite ready for a loud and rowdy home with young kids. Older teenagers would be AOK with these kitties. They both make friends easily with other cats in their foster home if you've already got a nice kitty who is ready for a new little sister. Otherwise, Yin & Yang would also make a beautiful pair! Story
Ruthie is constantly impressing us and learning to do new things. She was born with CH or Cerebellar Hypoplasia which is the under development of the cerebellum and this affects a cat's balance and coordination. Her CH is very mild and she can do everything her "normal" sister Candy does, just with her unique spin! Cats with CH tend to become more and more capable as they age. She originally came to us when she was 7 days old. As Ruthie ages, she builds muscles and learns coping techniques to help her navigate more smoothly. Cats with mild CH like Ruthie can have a very normal and happy life! CH is not progressive and it doesn't impact a cat's life expectancy. She may walk a little crooked and benefit from soft sided silicone bowls to keep her from chipping a tooth, but other than that she is a happy, loving gal who uses a litter box and likes to snuggle on the couch! The ideal adopter is familiar with caring for special needs pets and/or willing to make a few special accommodations (like padding sharp corners and including a baby gate at the stair case). A single story home without animals that will chase or harass Ruthie is ideal. Her beautiful medium-haired sister Candy would like to be adopted with Ruth as her BFF and emotional support cat. This duo should be indoor only kitties, but they'd love a catio to sunbathe in.Ruthie and her sister Candy are available for adoption together. They are both spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy and are all about the snuggles and clowning around. Welcome to the wonderful world of wobbles. It is challenging not to fall for this sweet duo! *INDOOR ONLY* Follow us on social media for daily updates! Story
This is Yin. She doesn't like to eat alone and is hoping to adopt a nice human to fill her bowl and then standby while she munches! Seriously. Yin may be petite and somewhat demure, but she's not to be underestimated! This young kitty has the skills and the presence to herd you right into the kitchen when it's time for you to keep her company or enjoy a nice meal together. When she isn't crunching her kibbles, Yin makes a nice, cuddly couch companion, and she generally wants to be wherever you are. She likes other cats, too, and hangs out with her sister when all the people have to go to work. Yin is the braver sister, but Yang is making great strides and also loves attention from her foster family.Yin and her sister Yang were found cold and wet in a ditch by a gardener and we weren't sure if they'd both pull through.
