Story
GiGi is sponsored by: Michael Snider SNAP Cats rescued GiGI from Palm Springs, CA. This girl is all Calico! And you know what THAT means. Sweet one minute; not so sweet the next. Age has mellowed her a bit, but she still has that edge that makes calicos, well, calicos. The perfect home? A calm, kid-free environment with a high perch and a window to watch the birds outside would be ideal. Oh, and wet food. GiGi LOVES wet food. Gotta have that! The right flavor, of course. Which varies from day to day. Of course. If you’re interested in May please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. She loves to play with fluffy balls, strings and bells around the house. She has a cute little white sock on one of her back feet which  is the only way she could be identified between her and her sister. Cleo is a very curious and cuddly little girl who is happy to snuggle up to enjoy some pets . April 26, 2024, 7:43 pm

Mr. Howell has never-ending love for all people everywhere! He is irresistibly endearing with boundless energy and could not be cuter! He may even be destined to become a YouTube star. On the other hand, Mrs. Howell (also called Mia) is a bit on the shy side. She is more reserved, but loves wand toy play and petting on her own terms. These two kitties have individual needs, so they are looking for an adult home that is quiet for Mia yet active for Mr. Howell. In a new home, Mr. Howell will be in your lap purring with adoring eyes, or he will be bouncing off your walls and cat trees chasing a wand toy. It will take a bit longer for Mrs. Howell, but with time she'll be purring in your lap, too!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgApril 21, 2024, 12:07 am

Then Vicky (or 'Victory') might be your kitten!   Sweet little Vicky loves her mealtimes and playtimes! She tends to be slightly independent girl who can keep herself quite occupied at times with her cats toys or looking out the window. During her more snuggly moments, Vicky enjoys coming to lay near or against her person for a good nap. She also sometimes likes to be held for prolonged periods. Vicky sometimes gives kitty kisses by licking your hand or your face.   Vicky really loves a good game of hunting wand toys that she can 'catch'. She has especially enjoyed wands with feathers on the end and a wand toy with a combo crinkle ball/feather. It's her favorite way to workout! Often after a good session, she then drags her catch to hide if for safe keeping under a bed or a couch, cutely growling to let everyone know it is HER catch and she is not sharing! But when she's ready for you to move the wand again she will let you know by mewing for your attention.   When she gets excited - usually as you bring her a meal! - she likes to squeak and mew.   Vicky is also a 'unicorn' kitty in many physical ways. Her orange fur is a color more typically associated with male cats. She also has very unique little paws! She is a polydactyl kitty, meaning she has extra toes to love on her feet. She even has a little extra bone nubbin on the bottom of one back foot. One of her front paw nails is chronically extended as well and does not retract. So good to keep at least this one nail trimmed to avoid it getting snagged on things. She may also have some version of dwarf-ism on her front two legs making them both shorter than normal kitty limbs.   Vicky has slightly wonky gait due to a suspected congenital issue. This manifests itself in two ways. First, when she walks she sometimes will have a little extra rolling sashay motion in her hip area à la Marilyn Monroe. Secondly, when she jumps up or down, it's often not a smooth process and she's prone to struggling a bit to get up or 'splatting' on the way down. She also cannot seem to climb very high so tends to prefer the middle level of taller cat trees. Several vets have examined her including a neurologist. This condition is not believed to be progressive and should not degrade over time - what you see currently is what you get. However, the funny gait does limit her ability to jump up and down properly on a consistent basis. For this reason, it would not be safe for Vicky to be allowed outside since she could not always easily jump up and away if needed from danger. Anyone considering adopting her should be committed to please keeping her indoors-only for her safety.  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgApril 21, 2024, 12:07 am

He is a brilliant communicator, has endless energy for playtime, and is as cute as can be. Soren is looking for an experienced cat guardian who can read his signals and prevent him from overstimulating. He would also like to be the only feline in his new home. Soren has definitely spent some time outside and he may want to continue the indoor/outdoor lifestyle in his next home. Or, if enough wand toy play and enrichment is provided (and maybe a shady catio--he does have a pink nose after all), he may adjust to a more indoor lifestyle. One thing is for sure, he is a busy, busy boy who just can't get enough playtime. If you are looking for an active buddy with a friendly personality, Soren would like to meet you!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgApril 21, 2024, 12:07 am
