Story
Dusty is sponsored by Sonja Amato SNAP Cats rescued Dusty from Merced, CA. Dusty is the sweetest kitten ever!!! She’s always looking for your attention, loves pets and gets along with all of the others here. Despite her twisted rear legs, Dusty gets around just fine, can climb up cat trees and stairs. However, Dusty’s kinda incontinent. She tries to use the box when she pees, but she leaves “Dusty Droppings” of poop wherever she goes. If you’re interested in Dusty please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.April 7, 2025, 3:48 pm

Story
Matilde is sponsored by: Alice Weigel SNAP Cats rescued Matilde from Mozambique, Africa. Matilde is a very sweet kitty. She’ll greet you when you come in the room, and solicit pets until it’s enough. She is a Calico after all. Matilde gets along well with other cats or will fit in nicely as an only cat. BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Matilde will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of her. Matilde's not aggressive toward other cats so there's no chance of her transmitting it. If you’re interested in Matilde please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.October 15, 2024, 5:39 pm

Story
GiGi is sponsored by: Michael Snider SNAP Cats rescued GiGI from Palm Springs, CA. This girl is all Calico! And you know what THAT means. Sweet one minute; not so sweet the next. Age has mellowed her a bit, but she still has that edge that makes calicos, well, calicos. The perfect home? A calm, kid-free environment with a high perch and a window to watch the birds outside would be ideal. Oh, and wet food. GiGi LOVES wet food. Gotta have that! The right flavor, of course. Which varies from day to day. Of course. If you’re interested in May please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Story
Telly is a delight to live with 100% of the time. There's never a dull moment with Telly around! As a curious bottle baby with a can-do attitude and athletic body, Telly is pretty sure the "rules" don't apply to her. She eagerly explores the table tops and highest bookshelves like they were put there for her. Telly purrs readily, plays happily, and is very gentle. This petite calico makes amazing biscuits and is great company. You may have seen her on WCAL's social media! She loves her humans and is an amazing young cat. We're looking for an adopter who won't mind providing Telly with a special diet and attentive care.Found all alone in Napa, Telly came to WCAL from an AT&T maintenance yard as an itty bitty baby who needed to be bottle-fed. We had some trouble weaning this kitty from a bottle onto canned food because she wasn't able to keep solids down at first. Working closely with our vet, we determined it was likely a food allergy causing occasional vomiting and indolent ulcers (also called eosinophilic granulomas). Telly eats a special diet of hydrolyzed protein kibbles, which is working well to keep her sensitive and adorable little body happy. She occasionally needs a round of prednisone if she has a flare-up (it's a low-cost medication WCAL doesn't mind helping with). The most common reason for sores or similar issues in special kitties like Telly is a food allergy or possibly stress in their home or even a flea allergy. If you would enjoy sharing your home with an outspoken calico princess and understand that Telly needs to continue this special diet to keep her feeling her best, then we have the loving, athletic kitten for you! This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have bottle-raised. Kittens raised by humans are extra comfortable around people and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and we are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoorsonlyfor life. Story
Meet Baby Fruit Bat & Baby Ned – Tiny Survivors, Big Hearts These bonded boys have already faced one of the toughest kitten challenges — panleukopenia — and came out stronger than ever. Now they’re ready to take on their next adventure: finding a forever home, together. Playful, goofy, and full of kitten mischief, they’re always up for a round of rough-and-tumble before crashing into a cuddle puddle. They’re currently thriving in a foster home with four adult cats and fit right in. They may start off a little shy, but give them a minute and you’ll discover two affectionate, charming little shadows who just want to be near you. Looking for a pair of brave, sweet, and endlessly entertaining companions? Fruit Bat and Ned are your guys.July 1, 2025, 1:19 pm

Story
Meet Jake and Poppy – A Bonded Senior Pair Jake and Poppy are a devoted duo of approximately 15 years young who have spent their entire lives together — and we’re committed to keeping them that way. These two came to us after the passing of their beloved owner, and now they’re looking for a new forever home to live out their golden years in comfort and love. Jake is our big, handsome grey boy who came in weighing 22 pounds and is now down to a healthier 19 (go, Jake!). He’s still working on shedding a few more pounds, but he's well on his way. His sister Poppy is petite and dainty, providing the perfect contrast to her brother’s larger frame. Both Jake and Poppy are incredibly friendly, affectionate, and people-loving. They’re in good health, and despite their age, still have plenty of love and companionship to offer. They’d thrive in a calm, cozy home where Jake can continue his weight-loss journey with gentle encouragement, and both can enjoy the comfort of soft beds, sunny windows, and loving humans. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a sweet senior pair, Jake and Poppy would love to be your loyal companions.July 14, 2025, 5:06 pm

Story
Meet Strudel – Sweet, Steady, and Ready for Home Strudel is a beautiful brown and white tabby, about 2 years old, with a calm, gentle spirit. She came to us as a devoted mama and did a wonderful job raising her kittens. Now that her babies are off to find homes of their own, it’s finally her turn. She’s affectionate, easygoing, and more than ready to trade motherhood for a life of being spoiled and loved. Strudel would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a soft, steady presence in their home. This mama has done her job — now she’s ready to be someone’s baby.July 1, 2025, 1:19 pm
