Story
Say hello to Almond! She is a pretty little calico with a unique orange spot on the middle center of her forehead that’s shaped like an almond. Almond is one of the smallest in her litter, but is healthy and gaining weight like a normal kitten. She likes to play with other cats, toys, and especially playing in her kitty tunnel. She isn’t extremely chatty, but isn’t super quiet, she is more of a perfect in between. She likes to beat to the sound of her own drum and prefers to do her own thing rather than follow her siblings lead. She is an affectionate girl and majority of the time will come to you when called. She can be a bit shy of new people but with a little time and patience she warms up. Almond is 1 of 5 kittens that were found as newborns after a dog spooked their mama. Luckily, after a few days of around the clock care and bottle feeding we were able to catch mama who accepted her babies back. She would do best with another feline companion in the home so she doesn’t become board or lonely. She has not been exposed to dogs, but given her young age, likely could get along well with a k9 in the home if given a proper introduction. Almond will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Almond was born in April.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Emmie was rescued during a heavy storm in which she found herself trapped under a neighbor's solar panels after hiding from the rains and wind. After only a minute of cajoling she worked her way free and immediately came up for snuggles.   Emmie was in heat and had already had a litter of kittens at her young age. We took her in, gave her warmth, and got her spayed and vaccinated. Since then, she has totally adapted to being an indoor cat and spends her time in the home office keeping her fosters entertained.   At this point, Emmie is very focused on her need to play - as much as possible! She has her favorite interactive toys and is also learning to self-play. Recently, she has started to appreciate other aspects of life, such as pets, ear rubs, and a warm human body to sleep against at night. She appreciates humans more each day and we are confident this quality will continue to grow.   Emmie communicates by cute chirps and squeaks - and direct eye contact telling you what she needs. She has perfect litter box habits, a lovely purr, and consistently uses her scratching post.                   Emmie was rescued during a heavy storm in which she found herself trapped under a neighbor's solar panels after hiding from the rains and wind. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. THIS animal listing is a COURTESY LISTING - not a 13th St Cat Rescue animal. See information about whom to contact in bio THANK YOU Lucy and her siblings, Frodo and Peter are very sweet kittens. They have been indoors since birth and have daily playtime with their foster family. If there’s one thing Lucy loves, it’s attention. She may not be super vocal about it, but she will go up to you and place herself in your lap or under your hand. Give her lots of pets and scratches and she’ll love you forever. She will gladly spend time sitting in your lap or being carried around in your arms. If you’re sweet about it, she will also gladly accept your kisses. Cuddle time with her siblings? Lucy adores it! She’ll go find one to cuddle when she’s ready to relax. Lucy may be a little lady who loves to stay clean, but she can handle herself in a wrestling match with her brothers. She spends her playtimes both wrestling with her brothers and using her favorite toys. Running after jingly little ball toys, and jumping up to catch swinging wands are her favorite. Story
Midna is a sweet independent girl. She's a little shy but loves food and will warm up to you after about an hour or so. She is a darling and loves to be in the same room as you. Midna is FeLV+ positive and thus should not be with other cats and indoor only. Energy Level? Playful but relaxed House trained? Litter box trained What are her favorite things? Midna loves freeze dried treats and sleeping on the window sill with or without sun, under the couch, on cat tree or hammock. She also loves chasing after her cat dancer toys! How is she when left alone? How long has she been left alone? She has been left alone with her sister and she is fine with it. The longest she has been left alone was roughly 13 hours. Where does she sleep? Anywhere and everywhere. What is her ideal home? We think Midna would do well in any home that has an owner who is able to attend to her needs and where she is able to play with her sister Zelda!

Story
Pink has been part of our family for the past 2.5 years. She’s truly independent and prefers to do her own thing. She doesn’t like to be held…unless she climbs on you. Truly loving, in her own way. She brave and makes friends easily with our other cat and dog. She loves snuggling with her dog sister. She eats kibble, uses the litter box every time, and doesn’t need fancy toys. We’d love to find her a loving home. Unfortunately my allergies are growing worst and it’s not realistic for me to keep our pets at my home at this moment. Thanks for looking. - Curtis

Story
Meet Hudson! This extra large boy was found as a stray and brought to the Shelter. We did find his previous owner, but they were unable to care for him any longer. He is neutered and microchipped, and ready to go home!He is very attentive to people and his environment, has experience with indoor/ outdoor living. He is food motivated and can be independent- wanting space away from other cats. We do not know how he is with kids or other animals, so gradual and monitored introduction after an aclimation period is strongly suggested. Our Watsonville and Santa Cruz locations have been unusually busy with a large than usual population of cats this December, so Hudson is waiting to meet that special someone at our Watsonville location while patiently waiting for a spot to open up in Santa Cruz. Calling ahead is recommended
