Online Adoption Application › Emmie was rescued during a heavy storm in which she found herself trapped under a neighbor's solar panels after hiding from the rains and wind. After only a minute of cajoling she worked her way free and immediately came up for snuggles. Emmie was in heat and had already had a litter of kittens at her young age. We took her in, gave her warmth, and got her spayed and vaccinated. Since then, she has totally adapted to being an indoor cat and spends her time in the home office keeping her fosters entertained. At this point, Emmie is very focused on her need to play - as much as possible! She has her favorite interactive toys and is also learning to self-play. Recently, she has started to appreciate other aspects of life, such as pets, ear rubs, and a warm human body to sleep against at night. She appreciates humans more each day and we are confident this quality will continue to grow. Emmie communicates by cute chirps and squeaks - and direct eye contact telling you what she needs. She has perfect litter box habits, a lovely purr, and consistently uses her scratching post. We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat December 1, 2025, 5:54 pm
