Callie is a Calico who loves to share a bed with her sister (Pinny, who is also listed). Unfortunately, the costs of having pets in our condiminium are too expensive and as much as we love her, we can no longer afford her having to pay those costs on top of general care. She has never been outside or exposed to any elements that could cause them issues. She is pellet litter-trained, and loves to cuddle. Adoption comes with free kibble, assorted treats, and toys.

Pinny (named for her small pinstripe on her nose) is a mostly black Calico, about 4 years old, and loves to share a bed with her sister (Callie, who is also listed on this site). Pumpkin is an affectionate 5 year old indoor, tortoiseshell cat. She is talkative and loves to shadow her person. Pumkin gets along well with children and dogs. She does not accept other cats and needs to be the ONLY cat in the household.

Mitski is a very sweet, funny, and adorable 9 year-old cat that I adopted two years ago. I adopted Mitski in a very difficult transition of my life. Everyday taking care of her and snuggling with her gave me a steady routine and ritual. She is sweet and cuddly, and very content to just sit with you. She is a lovely companion and I am very sad that I have to let her go. I am looking for someone who needs a sweet companion and who loves cat cuddles.

Katerina is a very loving cat. She loves to role over and nibble your fingers when you pet her. She has been raised with her sister (would love them to be adopted together). They have been together for 5 years. They love being indoors and occasionally playing outdoors for the fun lizard chase.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We personally thank you for your interest in adopting one or more of our wonderful cats or kittens! We have invested a lot of our time, energy and resources to offer a second chance to these rescued kitties. Many have been through situations already and our goal is to prevent that from happening again. We are committed to seeing our cats through, as we have poured our hearts into them, and take our adoptions seriously, even after they leave our care.   We encourage an ongoing relationship with our adopters, and look for people that are easy to work with.   If at any time in the cat’s life you are unable to keep him or her, you are required to return the cat(s) to us.  We don’t stop caring once the kitties leave! We make every effort that each adoption be successful. All adopters must complete an application. You must be at least 18 years old to fill out an application.  Please print clearly and considerately (for paper applicants). Please fill it out with complete honesty, – there is no “right” or “wrong” answer. This has not cut her life and joy off in any way. Although, since she has been in rescue, she has been very shy and withdrawn. She spends most of her time laying out in the back patio with the other 'shy' cats - as close to nature as they can be. Each cat adoption includes vet work; Spay or Neuter, Appropriate Vaccines, Microchip (for most cats), FIV/FeLV Test, basic parasite treatments like deworming and ear checks (for mites), and any other potential medical need at the time he or she is in our care.  Courtesy listings or cats that are not in our immediate care, may not have all the listed services and can be discussed at the time of an interview. We also include an adoption  goodie bag with Premium Cat Food,  canned cat food, toys, feather toys or string toys, laser light,  adoption folder with vet history, healthy pet care and product brochure with subscription offered,  any available coupons, and as much information as needed to help you with your new kitty!  Similarly, cats that are courtesy listings or not in our direct care, may not come with these incentives, or may have other belongings to go with them, which can be discussed during the interview stage. Adoption Fees: An adoption fee or donation is used to help recover the medical expenses for each of our cats, and for their needs while in our care. The adoption fees vary depending on popularity, adoptability and other factors we take into consideration. Our fees range from "any donation" - to 40 or 60 or so, for adults or over 1 year.  Average is 60 for teens, and kittens are 75 - 100 or so, depending on medical costs.  All fees are potentially flexible but we tend to consider it to be a reflection of the adopter's value in our kitties and their state of mind. Nero will be a year old in May. He's quiet unless he's hungry or needs something. Tends to hideaway and keep to himself. He's about 10 pounds and athletic build, I'll take more pictures when I have a chance as he's grown a lot. Not a picky eater, he'll tolerate grooming if you want to trim nails yourself. Fair warning he will take weeks to warm up to any other pets but only a few days to get used to a new person. He's also from Halifax Humane Society and just needs someone to care for him. Fleece blankets and T shirts are his favorite toys.
