Story

Pickles and her sister, were taken from a friend about 6 years ago. The first couple of years they had free range of a small apartment, but then the cats' owner moved in with someone else who is allergic to cats. Since then, the cats were mostly kept separated from the rest of the home. In the past year, Pickles' sister was given to someone else, and she has lived by herself in a 4' x 8' utility room. She is litter box trained and mostly quiet (although she does meow a lot when it is near breakfast or dinner time). She isn't allowed outside of the room she lives in, so doesn't get any exercise and isn't played with very often. I would like to surrender her to a home that will enjoy her more than she is currently. She has two cat "homes" that she sleeps in/plays on, a couple stainless steel litter boxes, water/food bowls, and a few toys. All of these will be sent with Pickles if so desired. She hasn't had any vet shots since the initial shots when she was taken from the friend.

Meet Lizzy. Lizzy is approximately 6 years old. She is getting used to being an indoor only kitty. She came to us not long after giving birth to her kittens from a good samaritin who found her and took her in and contacted us. All of her babies have been adopted, and now she is awaiting her forever family who will keep her as an indoor cat in the warmth and comfort of her very own home. She absolutely LOVES chasing the laser pointer. She's not a fan of being picked up, but will come to you for pets and attention. Lizzy's adoption donation is: $120 This includes her spay, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, pyrantal dewormer, FELV/FIV/HW testing and Registered microchip. Ricky is a handsome 7.5-year-old male who was returned to us when his owners could no longer care for him. He is very sweet and cuddly. He loves to be pet and carried around but he also loves to play with his toys, especially any toy on a string. Ricky is looking for a foster or foster to adopt home, as he has some medical needs (he’s currently on special urinary food and takes a medication once daily). Ricky needs to be the only cat in the home and no children. He has met a few different dogs and done well! He does spray with the other cats being around at the shelter, but this was not reported in his past home. Ricky’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a wonderful volunteer!

Rebel is a beautiful 5-year-old cat- white with patches of brown tabby. She is very sweet and loves to be pet but isn't fond of being picked up and held. Rebel knows her name, and if she isn't fast asleep, will give a chirp or come running when she hears it! She does get nervous during storms and has a spot in one of the hallways she stays tucked in during them. She also loves playing with her toys, especially anything on a string or with feathers. She'd make a wonderful addition to any loving home. Rebel would do best as an only cat. She has met a few dogs that were curious but respectful and didn't mind them very much.We are looking for a foster home, permanent foster, or adopter for sweet Rebel. She has been diagnosed with asthma. She takes a puff of her inhaler twice daily and does very well with it! This chill guy is Joey! He came to us from local animal control and is now ready to find a loving forever home to cherish him! He is around 6.5 years old and is a big guy, weighing 20 pounds. He enjoys pets and watching his surroundings. He loves to plop down beside you and just be near you. Joey doesn't seem to mind most other cats and sometimes will even play with them. If another cat is grumpy with him, he tends to run away or hide under something as he's not a fan of conflict. Joey is currently on a bit of a weight loss journey, so he is hoping to find someone that can continue with his diet and work on his activity.-Joey is FIV+. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is spread to other cats through deep-muscular bite wounds or sometimes in utero. It is not contagious to dogs or humans. Cat friendly cats with FIV can live with other cats who are negative for FIV as long as both are friendly. It is crucial that FIV cats remain indoors only and are kept up to date on vaccines. Most FIV+ cats can live normal lives.
