Story
I’m Rosey. I’m a 2-year-old calico girl with unique patches of orange and black scattered on my soft white fur. I have a sweet face and an engaging personality. The first thing you will notice about me is that I’m not shy. Did you ever feel like it would be nice to be greeted each time you came into a room, but you weren’t really interested in having a dog? I’ve got that covered. My light-yellow eyes track you from the minute you come in the room, and I run right over. I like to tip my head into your hand so you can pet me just right and give my beautiful face the attention it deserves. I’ve got some eyeliner on my right eye which looks kind of smudged and very dramatic, whereas my left eye is mostly surrounded with white and orange fur. It’s like I fell asleep before I finished my makeup, which is highly possible because…I’m a cat!
Another slightly dog-like trait I have is my subtle begging habit. I know where my dry food is stored and I will stand near the container to let you know, I’d like some of this, please. I’ve been eating wet food more frequently these days in addition to my measured dry food portions, which will help me regain my sleek shape. I’m not a nuisance about it and I won’t yell about it. I do meow and share my opinions, but never in a rude way.
I like playing with wand toys now and then, though mostly I like to interact with people. Sometimes I push my food plate around and you can call that a toy or maybe I’m giving you a hint! I move my kibble pieces with my paw as well, just lining them up before I eat them. I like to sit with you and chat while you pet me, so don’t take it personally if you throw a mouse toy and I don’t give it a second glance. When I’m happy, you’ll see me making biscuits and I’ll follow you around a bit, too. Humans, what a mystery that they don’t learn from a cat like me that lounging and loving are two great activities for every day!
I am currently enjoying being the only cat in the office at the Feral Fixers building and would be happy to be your one and only girl. If you have an easy-going male cat, we may get along fine, but my attention will be focused on my human family. The male cat had better eat his dry food quickly though, as I like to eat all dry food in sight!
Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative.
