Story
Hello everyone! This is daisy she is a 8 years old cat. Here is somethings to know about her : She is a very calm cat , you will usually see her sleeping in a corner or rolling over so you can give her attention ! She will play with you if you have a toy but, can get lazy and give up😆 She’s good with kids ( she been with us since my little brother was 3 years old ) When you give her treats she will try to grab it and bring it to her face! She will also come running if you crinkle the treat bag or hears the can food. She loves the outdoors but, prefers being inside. She loves her grooming sessions and pushes her face to the brush to get her grooming session started.

Story
Greetings! My name is Kallie, and I am a beautiful calico kitty. I personally think calico cats have it going on with their stunning good looks. I am a little shy around my human friends. However, I am working on coming out of my shell, and I love gentle petting sessions with my human companions. If you take a chance on me, we could become the best of friends. Plus, with human love, I will be able to blossom into the most amazing kitty and fulfill my destiny of making someone incredibly happy with my love. What do you say, do you want to make a love connection?💕❤️💕

Story
I’m Rosey. I’m a 2-year-old calico girl with unique patches of orange and black scattered on my soft white fur. I have a sweet face and an engaging personality. The first thing you will notice about me is that I’m not shy. Did you ever feel like it would be nice to be greeted each time you came into a room, but you weren’t really interested in having a dog? I’ve got that covered. My light-yellow eyes track you from the minute you come in the room, and I run right over. I like to tip my head into your hand so you can pet me just right and give my beautiful face the attention it deserves. I’ve got some eyeliner on my right eye which looks kind of smudged and very dramatic, whereas my left eye is mostly surrounded with white and orange fur. It’s like I fell asleep before I finished my makeup, which is highly possible because…I’m a cat! Another slightly dog-like trait I have is my subtle begging habit. I know where my dry food is stored and I will stand near the container to let you know, I’d like some of this, please. I’ve been eating wet food more frequently these days in addition to my measured dry food portions, which will help me regain my sleek shape. I’m not a nuisance about it and I won’t yell about it. I do meow and share my opinions, but never in a rude way. I like playing with wand toys now and then, though mostly I like to interact with people. Sometimes I push my food plate around and you can call that a toy or maybe I’m giving you a hint! I move my kibble pieces with my paw as well, just lining them up before I eat them. I like to sit with you and chat while you pet me, so don’t take it personally if you throw a mouse toy and I don’t give it a second glance. When I’m happy, you’ll see me making biscuits and I’ll follow you around a bit, too. Humans, what a mystery that they don’t learn from a cat like me that lounging and loving are two great activities for every day! I am currently enjoying being the only cat in the office at the Feral Fixers building and would be happy to be your one and only girl. If you have an easy-going male cat, we may get along fine, but my attention will be focused on my human family. The male cat had better eat his dry food quickly though, as I like to eat all dry food in sight! Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Hi , we are looking to rehome Maxi . Maxi was my mom's favorite cat. My mom passed away last march of 2023. She loves back rubs and hip rubs. Looking for her to be the only animal . She needs someone who's willing to be patient with her while she warms up to you. She loves cuddles . Someone who is home a lot is preferred.

These pups are in Wheaton, Illinois too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact GW for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Primrose needs a specific type of adopter who has the patience and understanding to provide the proper home for her, as well as accept that it needs to be on her terms. Primrose has come a very long way, and in many ways, she is a typical cat now. However, Primrose will need a while to decompress and adjust. If you’re looking for an “easy adoption,” please check out the bios of other cats. If you truly understand that some cats are just a bit different, please keep reading. From Primrose’s foster: Primrose was probably abused in her past life, and she was originally so “hand shy” that any hand movement would make her hide and cower. I originally could not approach her standing up, but I can now. I can even pick her up and hug her, which was not always the case. She is afraid of new people and changes to her environment. She came to me completely shut down by fear, right out of the hospital. She had to continue her recovery from panleuk and an upper respiratory infection in a new place with a complete stranger (me). It took weeks before she would even make eye contact with me. It was truly heartbreaking. She needs someone who understands that it could take a few weeks or months before she will even allow a new person to touch her, and she is far more afraid of men than women. After a few weeks with me, and keeping Primrose in my home office while I work, Primrose became my friend, and every day she makes more progress. After months with me, she has become a wonderful “coworker” who sits with me and appreciates getting her head rubbed and her butt scratched. She does not like to have her nails to be cut. She’ll probably always have to go to the vet for nail trims, and she will probably always need gabapentin or some other sedation/calming med to go to the vet. She is not aggressive, she just shuts down when she is afraid. Primrose was even terrified of the TV when she came to me, but now she sits on me and watches General Hospital and Cubs games with me. She has become a very happy lap cat. Primrose loves both dry and wet food. She is very snack motivated, and the best way to become her friend is with Churu treats. She purrs very loudly when she’s happy, and she loves looking out the window. She loves to play with me with string toys, and she also plays with other toys on her own. When she’s ready for a snack, she has talks to me with this adorable, raspy meow. Primrose would do very well in a small, quiet environment, like an apartment with just one human. Her environment should not change often. It overwhelms her. We went away for a weekend, and Primrose did not panic when our cat sitter went into Primrose’s room, gave her fresh food and water, and scooped her litter box, she just kept her distance.  We went on a longer trip, and she went to another foster’s house for the 2 ½ weeks we were gone. Primrose hated it, and she was very happy to come back home after my trip. Since then, she has remained in my home and cared for by my cat sitter when I go anywhere. She would not do well with children or a busy household. Primrose has met our resident cats through a gate, and she does not like them. In fairness, they don't like her and will instigate through the gate. She should be an only pet. Bottom line is that Primrose needs someone who understands that she must have suffered some awful emotional trauma, and it’s taking her a long time to recover from it. She may always be skittish. She will probably never be outgoing with strangers, but she will be a fantastic companion to someone who can give her time and not force her to become someone other than the sweet, shy, kinda scared kitty who has been a delightful temporary resident of her foster home.  Primrose has enjoyed exploring more of her foster home while the resident cats are in a different area of the house. Primrose's perfect human will accept her quirks and love her as much as I have grown to, while letting Primrose blossom at her own pace. If you let her settle into your life on her terms, she will eventually return your love. Primrose is featured regularly on my Instagram page @gloriawarshaw. If you think you might be Primrose’s forever person, please apply to meet her at arf-il.org. That first meeting won’t go well. She’ll be afraid of you, which is why it helps to see the pics and videos I post on my Instagram page. Primrose  is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained. Her adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting  Primrose, please fill out our Online Application today!   Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Rex is one of the cats participating in clear the shelter. His adoption fee is significantly reduced Part of ARF’s goal is to share with you the good and bad of the cats we have. It helps us best match you to the perfect cat. But, in full transparency, we now have a cat that we fear will never be adopted. Rex is a gray tabby cat who never properly learned social cues. He loves attention but lashes out without warning. He attacks feet and can draw blood even if he doesn’t mean to. He is not feral but truly just doesn’t understand how to ask for more attention. He needs someone who is willing to help guide him in the right direction with humans. It could take a long time to get him better with humans so he’s not the cat for someone who wants an easy going pet. But if you’re interested in giving Rex a chance or learning more about his story, please reach out today. Rex will call out to get attention because he does love people. He rubs up against his foster and weaves in and out of her legs looking up lovingly the whole time. He is extremely food motivated which can help with the learning curve. He lived happily with a woman for two years until he was put in a different location because she had to leave for some time. So we know he can be a good companion, he just needs someone to draw out his sweet side and the chaos in a foster home does not help him. If you are interested in meeting Rex, you can fill out an online adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/. Once your application has been approved, an A.R.F. volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with Rex.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Are you looking for a lovable lap cat? Wren is your girl. Wren is a sweet, gentle girl who wants to be near her humans as much as possible. Wren has been in foster care since February of 2022. She arrived in rescue as a pregnant mom who gave birth to two gorgeous little kittens. In June of 2022 she had a flare up of an autoimmune condition called stomatitis. This caused swelling and pain in her mouth. Her foster mom was by her side through several surgeries which eventually resulted in the removal of all of Wren’s teeth. At this time, Wren has relief from her condition and is a happy cat with so much love to give. Wren is not on any medication currently but her future adopter will need to be aware of her needs so that any flare ups can be treated with medication. Her foster mom is happy to answer any questions about Wren and stomatitis. She is looking for a special home where she can relax and be your one and only best buddy. She needs to be your only pet to avoid any unnecessary stress. She is a beautiful girl with honey colored eyes and a little heart shaped nose. She loves to cuddle and is extremely affectionate. Wren is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Wren's adoption fee is $135.
