Hi humans! I am Skye. I came from a rescue called Animal Rescue Corps, from Tennessee. I had 6 babies, though they have all found their homes! They traveled with me from TN when they were just a couple days old. I was also in foster with them so I am still a little confused as to why I ended up back in the shelter?! I did well with my foster mom but to be honest, I am still getting used to the humans at HP. My HP story started back in June of 2024, when I first went into foster. I am a girl that is going to take a little longer to trust my human, though I think when I make that bond, it will be a strong one! I LOVE the other kitties. It is common to see me cuddling with my girlfriend Berkley! We also play together and enjoy grooming each other. I do like to play as well, especially with wand toys. The humans aren`t sure what my past looked like, but I deserve a chance just as much as the other kitties! Meet Katie! She came from a shelter in Southern Illinois. She`s an adorable, compact girl being mostly a brown tabby, with a white chest and feet, and the cutest pink nose! Katie is a little different than your average cat. After she arrived at Helping Paws, it was noticed that her tail is fully limp. After further investigation by our vet, it`s determined that she has nerve damage in her back end and her tail is completely paralyzed. This does not stop her from jumping up and down or from zooming around the room! Katie is on a limited diet, and her wet food does contain a laxative which she will most likely need for life. We do recommend that she continues to use clay litter. Every now and then she`ll leave a tiny poop behind but she does her best to stay clean! Katie is a playful, silly, and a little bit sassy of a kitty who is looking for a special someone to give her a second chance. She still has a kitten side to her, and loves kneading and suckling on her blankies for comfort. She is hilarious and happy despite her differences, and will absolutely spice up your life! Little Dash was found in Crystal Lake, as a stray. He is just a bundle of fun! Being a `singleton` kitten, he is a kind of socially awkward. He loves to play with the other kittens in his own way, which is usually similar to a WWE match; his favorite move is the `flying elbow,` but he uses his mouth instead. He is still learning how to play but doing his best anyway! Dash is a busy boy and is always looking for new things to do. He can be a mischievous stinker, but it honestly makes him hilarious to watch!! His new interest is climbing the new cat tree with all four paws. He can be a little slow to fully warm up to new humans, but once he knows you, he`ll run up to you to say hello.
