Adopted this sweet girl from a coworker before me and my ex fiancé split. After moved into an apartment complex with her and my 2 year old son where i began working two jobs. No longer have much time for here and would love for her to have more space and attention. She is super playful and cuddly and sweet. Beautiful coat and eyes, wish i could give her more. Looking to find a loving home to give her the life she deserves!

Story
Cookie was found abandoned a few weeks ago, and we took her in to keep her safe and warm. She is extremely sweet, friendly, and affectionate. She loves being close to people, whether that’s curling up in your lap or relaxing in her cat tree, and she never turns down treats. Unfortunately, our senior cat does not get along with other animals, and although Cookie only wants to be friends, it has been stressful for everyone. Cookie deserves a loving home where she can get plenty of attention and affection. She would make a wonderful, loyal companion.

Story
Found as a stray and taken in, have had in house since October, but not getting along with resident senior cat, she does get along with some cats. But, our senior cat and her are not. She is a playful cat. She will use a scratching posts and doesn’t scratch furniture. Great cat, just not getting along with the senior cat in the household, very sad not working out and want her to get the best home! She is a little shy meeting strangers and would probably be scared of a dog, at first, but unknown, as has not been around any dogs. Has also never been around small or school age children, so unknown. Has done well with teenagers She allows to be picked up and loves to snuggle occasionally.

Story
Rosie is a two year old calico, gray, white and orange, but mostly gray. Rosie is a sweet girl who loves pets, attention, people, and food. She is very vocal, especially if she notices that you have food. I recently acquired Rosie from my sister whose boyfriend is allergic, so I gladly took them in. But money is tight at the moment and I have a cat of my own, so taking care of three cats has been a bit of a struggle for me financially.

Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Meet Patches – A Sweet Calico Cuddlebug Looking for a Calm, Loving Home Patches is a beautiful adult calico cat with a soft coat and a heart full of love. She’s a total sweetheart who adores cuddles and will happily curl up in bed with you at night. She’s been part of our family since our daughter was four, and she’s always been gentle and patient with her. Patches is fully up to date on her vaccines and uses her litterbox like a pro. Patches is an anxious girl and thrives in a quiet, predictable environment. She would do best as the only pet in the home — she’s not a fan of dogs and tends to hide from them. If you’re looking for a soft, snuggly companion who just wants a cozy spot and a human to love, she might be your perfect match. We’re heartbroken to rehome her, but both my daughter and husband have developed allergies that make it hard

Story
This pet is part of Dr. Roth’s Frosted Faces Program!Senior pets in this program go home with extra support, including an orthopedic bed, a two month supply of senior Cosequin, a senior blood panel, dental care if needed, and a waived adoption fee. It’s all designed to make bringing home an older pet a little easier and a lot more comfortable.Fatboy & RudyWe have had these names our entire lives, and now that we`re 14 years and 7 months old, we`re accustomed to them. However, at only 9.3 pounds, my name isn`t accurate. Littermates and lifelong best friends, we are a two-for-one package deal. We lived with our owner for thirteen years, but she could no longer afford to keep us. When we arrived, we were in bad shape due to severe skin infections, hair loss, and demodex mange. We are shorthaired black cats. Rudy has one very long white whisker, and I don`t. Although we have both had TLC to help us gain weight and deal with our itchy skin, Rudy had nearly naked patches on his legs and back. As for me, Fatboy, my coat has come in nicely. When we moved to the HSHC, we were very stressed and nervous and had difficulty adjusting to the new place. We lived in a Roaming Room for a while, which was a significant improvement. But since no one was asking to see us, we went to a foster home for a break. It took us a few days to adjust to this new environment (mainly Rudy, who would stay inside a hut and hiss at me whenever I got near him). However, after the first few days, we grew comfortable and settled back into our usual selves. Our foster dad gave the interviewer the following report card. •They both have had perfect litter box etiquette with zero accidents. Fatboy doesn`t squat to pee, so I use a large plastic storage bin with an entryway cut out. He always pees against the back wall of the bin (opposite of the entrance) so the pee always stays inside. I wipe down the inside walls and lid daily when scooping the litter. •They`ve been sharing one litter box. I initially placed three in different rooms, but they would only use one, so I eventually removed the other two. •They are inseparable best friends and like to be close, but they don`t cuddle. And occasionally they tussle (as brothers do)!•Rudy loves to cuddle with me. Fatboy rarely does, but every once in a while, he`ll lie on top of me. •They both love chilling in their window beds, sunbathing, and bird-watching.•Though they spend much of their days lounging around, the

Story
OwlMy name is Owl, but my foster mom thinks I am royalty with my luxurious black fur and my wonderful demeanor, and she has been calling me Princess Owl. I came to the shelter as a 7-month old stray kitten on Halloween, ironic for a black cat, huh? My story was that I had been caring for myself on the streets for at least two months before some nice humans brought me to the Humane Society for Hamilton County. As you can imagine, with such an abrupt change, I found the shelter`s atmosphere terrifying. I never came out of my Kitty Kasa when people were around. I would not even come out for the nice people who brought me daily room service. After being overlooked by adopters for two months at the shelter, I worried I would spend the rest of my kittenhood in my Kasa (I am now 9-months old). But my life changed when my foster mom took me home for a break. In just a few short days, I began living like a beloved feline (and I like it). I love playing with wand toys and chasing ping-pong balls. I have this cool game where I hide the balls when my foster mom is out. I am convinced that she loves looking for them when she returns. I love being petted and enthusiastically arch my back in response. I believe that humans have two hands so they can pet me with both at once. I have a loud purr and am an expert at making biscuits. When I am frightened, I will release a quiet hiss, but I am all talk and still learning to trust. I am a perfect houseguest, using my litterbox flawlessly and never trying to bite or scratch (even when uncertain or frightened). Shoot, one of the resident cats even grabbed my tail under the closed door and would not let go. I didn’t even flinch or tell him to stop pulling my tail. I do like chatting with him through the door, and I believe I am interested in the company of other cats. Now, can we talk about how embarrassed I am by my first pictures on the adoption website? I asked my foster mom to send along some photos of me enjoying life in a home setting. I think these better reflect my personality. Well, that’s my story for now. If you’re interested in giving me a forever home where I can keep building my trust in humans, please reach out—Princess Owl would love to make your castle complete. Purrs and Biscuits, ‘Princess’ Owl 1-9-26
