She came to my door two years ago pregnant I couldn't leave her outside alone...I took her in...she's a loving xxxx@xxxx.x you can tell her life was hard before me...my fiancee is terminally ill stage 4 cancer...we can no longer assume the responsibility financially or physically.

Sweet sweet girl. Loves to cuddle. Can be a little timid at times around new people but loves her owners. She likes to drool when she's being loved on.

I have just lost my physical independence, and this prevents me from continuing to care for my little cats with the same attention and affection as before. I do not want them to suffer because of my physical and financial limitations, so I am looking for a loving and responsible family to take them in. He is neutered; she is not. He is afraid of the vacuum cleaner and loud noises, whereas she is not. He is afraid of water, but she isn't. He doesn't mind sleeping outside the bedroom, while she prefers to sleep inside it. He dislikes being picked up, but she doesn't mind it. Neither of them likes shredded can food; they prefer "Lil' Soups" or puree sticks, making them inexpensive to care for. They are sociable and calm; love affection and have never experienced any trauma, illness, or accidents. London and Carey are truly the sweetest sister duo you'll ever meet! Prepare for smooches: their favorite thing is giving you kisses to let you know how happy they are to see you. While they show interest in whatever you're doing, they're also perfectly content to just be by you. They are very social and adapt to new people and environments easily. They love cardboard scratchers, wand toys, wet food, and catnip. With her big, beautiful eyes and fluff, Carey will immediately steal your heart. She has the best butt wiggle to pounce, and she will jump two feet in the air to grab a wand toy. She will amaze you with her athletic prowess! London is the best girl. She loves to be right by your side and will give you gentle pats on the shoulder with her paw (without extending her claws!) to let you know shed like more pets. She enjoys a cozy bed. London has digestive issues. We're still working out the exact cause, but she's doing better on Z/D food. Both girls tested positive for a cat virus in 2025 called calicivirus. Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Venus is a very sweet girl. She was rescued around 8 weeks old in my garage so she comes from a feral upbringing. She does love to play and cuddle when she’s comfortable. She does enjoy being outside. Could be a barn cat with how much she loves to explore. Although, she does like curling up in bed and cuddling at night. Very playful. Would be happy being an only cat but also does just fine with other animals

Lady BugBoy, do I have a story to tell the interviewer lady (IL), as soon as I get back to the shelter! Right now, I have landed in a “pot of jam” foster home! I moved in with my foster mom (FM) on December 26, so I am still getting to know her. I am 13-years, 9-months old, a smallish brown tabby, already spayed and litter box trained. I first arrived at the shelter as a three-month-old kitten. I was adopted on September 19, 2012. The weird thing is, I turned up as a stray cat on November 15, 2025. So where have I been all this time? Who knows? When I arrived the second time, I was fearful, nervous, and stressed by the unfamiliar people and places. However, since being with my FM, I have been gradually opening up to her and showing off my skills at using the litterbox without fail, accepting pets on my head, and getting scratches on my chin. FM believes I am more fearful than I am unfriendly. The secret to succeeding with me is patience and understanding. I no longer hide all the time and even follow her around, sitting at her feet and meowing for her attention. FM told the IL that I am a complete sweetheart, never hissing, swatting, or exhibiting any bad behaviors. I am very adept at grooming, especially my face, which FM says is cute! I have a healthy appetite for all the food I’m given. I especially enjoy crunchy treats when they are tossed near my feet. I have not yet shown lap-cat tendencies, but FM says it’s just a matter of time, love, and patience. Believe me, I am grateful to be back with the HSHC and in my foster home. OliverI made it abundantly clear to the interviewer lady (IL) that I am looking for a particular kind of human to adopt me. I realize that my stunning good looks, tangerine-and-snow-colored coat, and overall charm will attract many people. However, my new forever owner must have certain specialized skills to make a perfect match with me. I am closing in on 6-years-old, and tip the scales at 13.2 pounds. My previous owner had me neutered when I was a kitten. He surrendered me to HSHC on December 22, 2025. The reason given was allergies. But I think it was because the 13-year-old child in the home did not pay attention to my clear warning signals that I needed to be left alone. Many cats have the same problem: becoming overstimulated by lengthy petting sessions, being held, being touched in the wrong place, or being picked up. The only ways we can let a human know we’ve reached our limit are to use tail flicking, make “airplane” ears, dilate our pupils, and try to escape as signs of sensory overload. If humans disregard our methods of communication, a cat`s only response is to hiss, swat, or nip. Just because I have a short fuse when it comes to physical attention does not make me a bad cat; it just makes me a sensitive one. Having to constantly communicate this fact creates stress. Speaking of stress, when I first arrived at the HSHC, I clearly communicated my stress at being medically evaluated. Testing revealed I had crystals in my urine. I have been placed on a C/D prescription diet to promote better urinary health. I feel so much better now. The first few times the IL came to see me, I was not interested in speaking with her. However, today, 3-17-26, I approached her, gave her a head butt, rubbed against her hand and face, and began purring. Then I ate some of my food while she petted my head, chin, and neck. When she told me I was such a sweet boy, I knew she understood my personality. After reading my tail flicks when she stroked me down my back, she closed the door and stepped away. I have had adoption showings with different people and ages. Kids 14 and 15 have been successful in meeting me. I have been affectionate, solicited pets, and enjoyed playing with string toys.
