Calico kittens & cats in Fishers, Indiana

Jasmine was adopted from Indy Animal Care in 8/23 , age was about 1yr then. Spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. Has had annual check ups and shots since then.The reason for needing a new home is that we acquired a 2nd cat for my adult son about a year later, unfortunately Jasmine has been hostile / aggressive to the other cat, a situation that has not improved. So she definitely need to be in a home with NO other cat. Has not been around dogs. She can be playful but sometimes moody, not wanting to be handled and may scratch. Has not been around children , probably need to be in an adult home due to scratching.Litter box trained, uses a cardboard scratch box, eats "wet" (canned) food due to poor water intake. I have become very attached to Jasmine. She likes to lay on my lap for petting and napping. The other cat is basically a "support" pet for my son, so giving her up is not an option. So Jasmine needs a home where she is free to roam (indoors only) and will be loved.

Manny has lots of personality! Manny is a loving cat. We recently blended two homes, and Manny does not get along with one of the other cats. We have tried for 8 months, and it is not better. Manny may do best in a 1-cat home, but he may be fine with other cats. He accepts the elder cat in our house, just not the younger cat. For the past six years, Manny has been an indoor/outdoor cat. He is a large cat and likes to explore outside during the day. He is not a fan of the rain or snow, so he is not considered an outdoor only cat. He seems to be fine with the dogs in the neighborhood. He is laid back, sleeps a lot and can have a lot of energy and is playful when he is awake. He will make a great companion. We are open to fostering if you are unsure about adoption. Lady BugBoy, do I have a story to tell the interviewer lady (IL), as soon as I get back to the shelter! Right now, I have landed in a “pot of jam” foster home! I moved in with my foster mom (FM) on December 26, so I am still getting to know her. I am 13-years, 9-months old, a smallish brown tabby, already spayed and litter box trained. I first arrived at the shelter as a three-month-old kitten. I was adopted on September 19, 2012. The weird thing is, I turned up as a stray cat on November 15, 2025. So where have I been all this time? Who knows? When I arrived the second time, I was fearful, nervous, and stressed by the unfamiliar people and places. However, since being with my FM, I have been gradually opening up to her and showing off my skills at using the litterbox without fail, accepting pets on my head, and getting scratches on my chin. FM believes I am more fearful than I am unfriendly. The secret to succeeding with me is patience and understanding. I no longer hide all the time and even follow her around, sitting at her feet and meowing for her attention. FM told the IL that I am a complete sweetheart, never hissing, swatting, or exhibiting any bad behaviors. I am very adept at grooming, especially my face, which FM says is cute! I have a healthy appetite for all the food I’m given. I especially enjoy crunchy treats when they are tossed near my feet. I have not yet shown lap-cat tendencies, but FM says it’s just a matter of time, love, and patience. Believe me, I am grateful to be back with the HSHC and in my foster home.
