Story
Jasmine was adopted from Indy Animal Care in 8/23 , age was about 1yr then. Spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. Has had annual check ups and shots since then. The reason for needing a new home is that we acquired a 2nd cat for my adult son about a year later, unfortunately Jasmine has been hostile / aggressive to the other cat, a situation that has not improved. So she definitely need to be in a home with NO other cat. Has not been around dogs. She can be playful but sometimes moody, not wanting to be handled and may scratch. Has not been around children , probably need to be in an adult home due to scratching.Litter box trained, uses a cardboard scratch box, eats "wet" (canned) food due to poor water intake. I have become very attached to Jasmine. She likes to lay on my lap for petting and napping. The other cat is basically a "support" pet for my son, so giving her up is not an option. So Jasmine needs a home where she is free to roam (indoors only) and will be loved.

Story
She's been showing up at my back door. I think my neighbor has abandoned her. I'm guessing she's about 9 months old. She's been going into heat and I'm worried she will have some unwanted kittens out there. Need someone that can adopt her and get her shots and spayed. I am unable to have a cat here. She is a very sweet and lovable Kitty

Story
Found as a stray and taken in, have had in house since October, but not getting along with resident senior cat, she does get along with some cats. But, our senior cat and her are not. She is a playful cat. She will use a scratching posts and doesn’t scratch furniture. Great cat, just not getting along with the senior cat in the household, very sad not working out and want her to get the best home! She is a little shy meeting strangers and would probably be scared of a dog, at first, but unknown, as has not been around any dogs. Has also never been around small or school age children, so unknown. Has done well with teenagers She allows to be picked up and loves to snuggle occasionally.

Story
Georgie has been with me since she was born. This girl will ride or die for you, however i have moved a lot and have needed to rehome us almost 5 times since she was born. She’s grown very comfortable peeing outside the litter box, not pooping but only peeing. We’ve tried different boxes, different cleaning schedules, different water tanks and different foods. Nothing seems to work.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Cabby was adopted at about 7 months old from the humane society in Western Pennsylvania. She is very sweet and her birthday is listed as 8.19.2015. She loves people but may take a little to warm up. She is afraid of dogs, but has learned to tolerated our golden retriever for the last 4 years. Within the last 2 years, she has developed some issues and was not using her litter box. We took her to the vet and nothing was found and they recommended we switch to a wet food. We have tried countless different kinds and probiotics. They help, but whenever we leave she usually acts up when we get home and will not use her litter box and sometimes has diarrhea. We have also used plug-ins to help calm her anxiety. They also seem to help, but we are at our wits end and don't want to uthenize her because she IS a good cat, just won't stop using our loft as a toilet. We think she needs more attention than we can give her with our very busy lives and think she would do well without a dog family.

Story
Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Rescuing her as a kitten in 2018 was the start of a beautiful journey, but as our family has grown, we’ve realized she deserves a environment that matches her gentle soul. She is a sweet, independent companion who loves to "love" on her own terms. Whether she’s chasing catnip, enjoying treats, or lounging in a sunny chair, she thrives on being near her people while maintaining her own peaceful space. Lately, the high energy and rough play of life with two "littles" have become too much for her. Between the busyness of toddlers and our frequent travel, she isn't getting the calm, consistent attention she truly deserves. **Ideal Home:** * **Adult-Only:** A slow-paced, quiet environment. * **Present Owners:** Someone who is home often to provide "quiet company." * **Sun & Toys:** Plenty of sunny spots for naps and toys to keep her spirit bright. She is a gentle girl looking for a serene "forever home" where she can finally be the center of a peaceful world.

Story
Manny is a loving cat. We recently blended two homes, and Manny does not get along with one of the other cats. We have tried for 7 months, and it is not better. Manny may do best in a 1-cat home. For the past six years, Manny has been an indoor/outdoor cat. He is a large cat and likes to explore outside during the day. He is not a fan of the rain or snow, so he is not considered an outdoor cat. He seems to be fine with the dogs in the neighborhood. He is laid back, sleeps a lot but can have a lot of energy when he is awake. He will make a great companion. We are open to fostering if you are unsure about adoption. Manny is about 7-years old.

Story
HootieHey there feline fans! Hootie here and excited to tell you about myself. I have had two owners in my 7 years on the planet. The first one surrendered me to the HSHC because I was “unwanted”. No one wants to hear that. My second owner had me for a year and a half, but one of the other cats in the home couldn’t stand me, so now I’m back. This is all pretty mysterious to me because I am a fantastic fellow. I think my photos clearly demonstrate my winning personality and grey good looks! I moved into a foster home on January 4 and have settled in pretty quickly. I’m a bit picky with food (chicken is my favorite), but I always eat and use my litter box. I’m a loner, but when I want attention, I let you know. I recognize I’m overweight at 19.6 pounds and would benefit from shedding a few pounds to feel better and more energetic. Climbing is tough for me, so I prefer sitting or lying beside you. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being brushed and having my belly rubbed. My foster parents report that I am curious, attentive, and aware of my surroundings. I love playing with catnip mice and chasing the laser pointer. I always use scratching posts. I enjoy a good chat—--talk to me, and I’ll talk back! But I don’t like being teased; if you mimic me, I’ll walk away. Strangers at the house aren’t my favorite—I avoid them, but if approached gently, I enjoy being part of the family. My foster parents say, “Hootie is very friendly and forgiving. He’s full of love!” As a bonus, they say I don’t shed! The Feline Care Specialists will provide more information about my needs and how to help me adjust to your home. 1-20-26
