Story
Brea was found struggling to survive at 6 months old on a farm. She is a very sweet cat and loves to cuddle, but is very selective on who she likes and doesn’t like. She does not get along with young children, which is why we need to rehome her. She will get right next to the kids, but the moment they get loud or harass her she will claw them. She does not do that to older children or adults. She’s normally sweet but shy. She lives with 2 other cats inside the house, but will try to dive outside to attack any feral cats she sees. It takes her awhile to get used to other cats, and shes never been around a dog. She loves looking out windows and needs a quieter environment. It’s a possibility she may make a good barn cat as long as she is flea treated. She does like going outside and get mice, but I rarely let her out. She is 5 or 6 years old, does not play much but does like going after laser pointers. I will also give her metal litter-box to anyone who wants to take her or foster her.

Story
London and Carey are truly the sweetest sister duo you'll ever meet! Prepare for smooches: their favorite thing is giving you kisses to let you know how happy they are to see you. While they show interest in whatever you're doing, they're also perfectly content to just be by you. They are very social and adapt to new people and environments easily. They love cardboard scratchers, wand toys, wet food, and catnip. With her big, beautiful eyes and fluff, Carey will immediately steal your heart. She has the best butt wiggle to pounce, and she will jump two feet in the air to grab a wand toy. She will amaze you with her athletic prowess! London is the best girl. She loves to be right by your side and will give you gentle pats on the shoulder with her paw (without extending her claws!) to let you know shed like more pets. She enjoys a cozy bed. London has digestive issues. We're still working out the exact cause, but she's doing better on Z/D food. Both girls tested positive for a cat virus in 2025 called calicivirus. They are now recovered and not suspected to be contagious toward other cats. The adoption fee for London and Carey is $150 total! Apply at https://www.pepperspalscatrescue.org/adoptfoster

Story
Hello. This is a 4 year old cat named Smores. I got her in 2022 from someone that found a stray and had kittens. She is up to date on all her shots and vaccines and is spayed. She is declawed in the front, which was not a personal decision, but as far as I am aware, it does not currently affect her. As someone who was co-owning her with my mother it was hard to make decisions on my own for her which resulted in the surgery. I am very experienced on this topic and know what could be a result of this surgery and would also need someone who is experienced in this area as well and can take care of her appropriately. Giving her away is also not a personal decision of mine but my mother’s. We have recently gotten a new cat and they don’t get along well and we will be moving soon. I will be giving her litter boxes (she prefers 2), her food bowls and stand, and her carrier along with her as well as the remaining food she may have.

Story
Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Hi, I'm Justa. I'm a petite lady with lots of soft white fur and pretty gray tabby patches. I'm a timid girl who's not quite sure about people yet. I raised 5 kittens but I've never had a home of my own. I'm looking for a quiet, understanding family to give me lots of love... and lots of treats and wet food, which I've discovered are really great. Please email the shelter at hancockcountyhumanesociety@gmail.com to make an appointment to meet me.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 18, 2026, 7:07 pm

Story
Meet Wednesday! Wednesday is a sweet 2-year-old black cat who came to PAWS the same day she gave birth to five kittens. After a stressful start and very little early socialization, she was shut down and unsure of people — but she’s been slowly learning to trust again in her foster home. Wednesday is shy and gentle. She takes her time warming up and does best in a calm environment with patient humans. She loves having another friendly cat around and really benefits from a confident feline buddy to show her the ropes. A quiet home with another cat-friendly kitty and people who are willing to go slow would make Wednesday feel safe and supported as she continues to come out of her shell. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs a little extra patience, Wednesday may be your match! Submit an application to meet her — her foster mom will be in touch.

Story
Meet Waverly! If you’re looking for a cat with personality, charm, and just the right amount of sass, Waverly is your girl! This playful young lady loves to follow her humans around, hoping for pets, attention, and someone to admire her fabulousness. She’s active, curious, and always ready for fun. When Waverly gets extra happy, she sometimes gives gentle “love bites”—never hard, just her quirky way of showing affection. Because of this, she’d likely do best in a home without very young children who might not understand her enthusiastic love language. Waverly can be a little suspicious of new feline friends at first, but with time and patience, she usually warms up and coexists well. She definitely has her own opinions and isn’t shy about sharing them—but beneath that sassy exterior is an affectionate snuggle bug who adores curling up with her favorite people. If you’re hoping for a cat with lots of personality, lots of love, and lots of playful energy, come meet Waverly! She just might be your perfect match. 🖤🐾
