Story
Marbles is a gorgeous gal who knows what she wants in life – fluffy toys tied to string, afternoon naps in the sun beams, and cozy spots to sit and have her fur brushed. Marbles’ main person passed away suddenly a few years ago, and although the family has made things work – Marbles misses having someone home often to give her extra attention. Even with an independent streak, Marbles likes to have companionship, enjoys sitting next to you for affection, and will become quite vocal when she isn’t getting it! Marbles will shine in a calm home as a single pet with people who can give her that one-on-one time she once had. Marbles is a bold calico, spayed, vaccinated, and has a clean bill of health. To learn more about adopting Marbles, please contact Our Companions at 860-242-9999 or email Helpline@OurCompanions.org!

Story
Meet Holly Hobby Holly Hobby is a stunning dilute calico beauty with mesmerizing golden eyes and a quiet grace that will melt your heart. Holly loves to be petted and will look at you with those eyes so that you can't help but oblige! Petting her is very satisfying because she stretches her body into your hand to get the most out of your offered pets. Holly is a gentle girl who thrives in a nurturing environment. She is looking for a warm companion who is happy to hand out pets. She is a quiet, easy kitty who requests pets and leans into them. She is on a prescription diet to prevent crystals in her bladder. She eats her prescription food well. That is the only special care she needs. She will do best in a home with adults or a kind-hearted singleton. She also needs people who understand that not every cat enjoys being picked up. When her foster picks her up, Holly just lodges her complaint with management by squiggling and squirming. This sweetheart wouldn't resort to claws! She currently lives peacefully with other 4 cats and 4 kittens and would be happy in a feline-friendly home — or she’d be just as content being your one and only. Canine visitors put her on her guard. Holly likes to be treated to wet food. She will happily accept Temptations treats and Delectables, as well. She is very tidy with her litter box. She loves a comfy blanket and a good view of cat TV. Holly Hobby asks if you will be her friend? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Molly Fish 🐾 Molly Fish is a gentle, sweet-natured calico girl with a heart as soft as her fur. With her quiet charm and affectionate ways, she’s on the lookout for a calm, cozy home where she can lounge in sunny spots, perfect her biscuit-making skills, and share her love. Molly may be a bit shy at first, but she quickly warms up—especially if you come bearing treats. Her foster says she greets you with happy meows and adores being brushed and petted. One of her sweetest quirks? She’ll bump foreheads with you if you lean in close, offering the feline version of a hug. She’s also been an incredibly loving mom to her kittens, always letting them eat first and chatting to them with soft, twirly meows. Molly loves attention but is also content to relax by the window, watching birds, squirrels, and the world go by. She has experience living with other cats and could join a mellow feline family—or be your one and only cuddle companion. Molly would thrive in a peaceful home with a loving singleton or older adults who appreciate quiet companionship and cozy vibes. Story
Meet Nena! After spending time in foster care raising her kittens (who are also up for adoption), this sweet mama is ready to be the one getting all the attention. Her foster dad shared that Nena was a little shy at first, but it didn’t take long for her personality to shine. Once she felt comfortable, she turned into an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. Nena comes when she’s called, greets you when you walk into the room, and will happily trot over to say hello with the softest little chirps and meows — almost like she’s having a conversation with you. She’s quiet, gentle, and very loving. Nena adores pets and neck rubs, and she’ll give you the cutest head boops to politely ask for more attention. She has such a tender way about her that makes every interaction feel special. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will greet you with sweet little “words” and loving head nudges, Nena may be your perfect match. She’s done an amazing job raising her babies — now it’s her turn to be spoiled. Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org.
