Story
I got Muffin from Dakine Humane Society when she was four months. I’m looking for someone who will care for her, scoop her litter daily, feed her good food, make sure her water bowl is always full, and play with her. Muffin is very sweet. She loves her naps and afterwards she loves getting on your lap for a cuddle. She’s is more reserved and rarely begs for attention (unless she’s hungry). She eats twice a day and doesn’t graze. I’ve had her for nine years now and she’s a phenomenal cat. The adoption fee is present to deter any malicious people who would adopt her just to harm her.

Hi. My cat is very adaptable to situations. I adopted her on a whim after my sweet Lily passed away. I needed a soul with a heart beat in my house. The problem is she is very active and seems to be bored because i work 40 hours a week. She seems to needing more stimulation. I think she will be very dog savvy. She’s not scared of anything, but not nasty either.

Story
Meet Callie! Hi, I’m Callie, a sweet and friendly 2-year-old girl with a heart as colorful as my beautiful calico coat. I came to the shelter because my previous family could no longer care for me, and now I’m hoping my forever family is just around the corner. I’m an affectionate, easygoing girl who enjoys meeting new people and soaking up attention. Whether we’re relaxing together, chatting about our day, or sharing quiet moments, I’m happiest just being by your side. I’m ready to start my next chapter with a family who will love me forever. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and bright golden eyes, I think we might be the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.  Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only. As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.  July 27, 2026, 7:16 am

Story
We are looking for a very special home for our 12 year old cat who has been with our family since he was a kitten. This is a heartbreaking decision. After a lot of unexplained health issues I saw an allergist and learned she has a severe allergy to cats. I truly believed my symptoms were caused by something else but testing confirmed it was to cats. Our priority is making sure he goes directly to a calm, committed home where he can live peacefully and safely. We are not looking for just anyone. We are looking for the right person with a big heart who accepts everything about him and who will cherish him in his senior years. About Him Around 12 years old, neutered, indoor cat (has been outdoor before), sweet, loves blankets, his window bed, carpeted towers/scratching posts, and being near his people. He has a pretty chill personality. (happiest lounging and keeping you company) PLEASE MESSAGE ABOUT HIS HEALTH AND CARE NEEDS

Story
Lola is a gorgeous senior calico that came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation. She is a very shy girl, borderline spirit cat (a rarely seen kitty companion), but she has been coming out of her shell with us over time and we think she will thrive in a quiet home, perhaps with a friendly kitty or two to show her that humans are just weird looking besties. No kids or dogs please, big noises are a little too new and scary for our gentle girl.  Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. July 16, 2026, 7:16 am
