Doug is roughly 16 months, a big boy is really the best description, the most boy cat ive had. He loved attention and being he'd like a toddler lol, a very happy and silly cat. I believe any home is a great location for his personality.

Story
Malone is a very sweet, loving cat that does not require tons of affections but she will take all of it. She was adopted during Covid with another cat that terrorized her so my friend asked if I would take her and she has lived with me my kids, my dog the past 6 years. She does fine with other animals but is definitely skittish. She doesn't like to rough play with my dog but tries to be affectionate with him. She has never been outside. I am moving to North Carolina and cannot bring her with me but also, I think it would be too stressful for her. I would love her to go to someone whose lap she can lay in, where it's quiet and peaceful.

Story
Groot is a sweet four-year old Tabby looking for a new loving home because his owner has developed a severe allergy. He is an awesome family pet - he lives in a home with a dog and four children. He's great with them! In fact, he loves the hustle and bustle of a busy household, so Groot would do best in a home with children and/or a dog. He spent his first few years as an indoor cat but he's a stubborn escape artist and so he's now an indoor/outdoor cat. It's possible he could transition back to being indoor only! He's sweet and friendly, but he's not a "lap cat" - he's un-demanding, and happy to find a soft place to curl up and sleep the day away. He's ready to go home with his new family! We'd love to stay in touch with the new owners, if you're open to it - to help him adjust and hear how he's doing. We will keep him until he finds a new home that's perfect for him.

Story
My mom got him for me four years ago when he was a kitten but now I’m moving out and I really don’t have the time, money, or mental bandwidth to continue to take care of him.Unfortunately, over these years, I have not been able to get him insured (not my fault, I was still a kid), so I haven’t been able to do anything medically with him and I feel so bad for him. I’m just hoping to find him a home that can give him the love and care he needs as much as it breaks my heart. He’s a really sweet cat, very cuddly, and he loves trying to open doors with his voice.

Story
Meet Gigi The Purrfect Cuddler! At just 1 year old and 8 pounds, sweet Gigi has already endured more than any cat should. She was heartbreakingly dumped in a Burger King parking lot in Puerto Rico, but despite her rough start, she has nothing but love to give. Purr Purr Purr Purr Purr... Gigi is unbelievably cuddly and happiest when she's curled up in someone's arms or lap. She is fully vetted, gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, and is ready to become a cherished member of a loving family. Please consider opening your heart and home to this special girl. Gigi has been waiting for her happy ending. Could it be with you?

So we will not separate them they must go as a pair. They were surrendered due to their previous owner passing away which is very sad, they are in a great foster home and doing great. They just want a place to call forever home.

Story
Smokey is a sweetheart of a cat who had a rough start in life. He was removed from a hoarding situation with 20 cats in a small apartment. He very rarely received any attention or affection and spent most of his time hiding in a kitchen cabinet. In spite of this, he is a super loving, affectionate, and gentle cat. It took him a few days to feel safe in a foster home, but once he came out of his shell, he can't get enough pets and affection. He gives head butts for more pets or jumps up to touch his head to your palm to signal that he would like More Petting Please! He isn't a pest about it, however, and will happily curl up on the couch beside you or on the floor or a cozy bed while you work, watch tv, read, etc. He is an all-around good-natured cat who gets along well with other cats and would probably be okay with a calm, cat-savvy dog, with a slow and careful introduction. Smokey would do best in a calm household with people who want to show him the affection he missed out in in his first couple of years of life. He is all black except for the toes of one foot, which look like he dipped them in a can of white paint.

Story
Parker is ready to park her bum in a new home. Her previous owner unfortunately passed so she is looking for a safe landing after losing her best friend. She is friendly, quiet, and a big couch potato. She loves being brushed, and enjoys cuddling on your lap. She is shy to new people and environments so she will need time to open up. She's lived with cats and children but wasn't too fond of them. She may do best as the only cat in the home. Parker is currently being managed for a urinary condition and would likely do best in a quiet, lower stress home. Our adoption team would be happy to talk with you more about her ongoing care needs. Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter.
