Hello, I'm Belle. I used to roam free, exploring every nook and cranny of the world at my own pace. Now, I find myself in a new place, a shelter, where I'm slowly learning about trust and love. I dream of a quiet home where I can peek out from cozy corners and maybe, just maybe, find a lap where I feel safe. If you seek a gentle companion to share in quiet moments, I'm here, ready to be part of your story. Belle is altered, microchipped and vaccinations are up to date. Story
Hello,My name is Birdy I turned two years old in July. I was born on a farm till I was about 6 or 8 weeks old. I love to play, love to climb on my cat tree, If I move into your house I will need a cat tree to climb on & lots of toys to play with and allot of attention. I love activity, I am very social., high energy cat, love to climb, perch on high areas. Need lots of scratching posts, i have several in the home I currently live in. I am a very loving cat, loved to be petted and love to set on your lap.The ideal home for me would be a house with kids that are good with animals, & have time to play & pet me. I love other cats and dogs. I am completely litter trained, never had an accident in the house. I only like gravel cat litter.I like wet and dry food, and love my treats. If you have time for a social animal, I am the cat for you.Thank you Love Birdy. Meow

Name: Willow Age: 2 years Weight: 8.5 lbs Gender: Female Breed: Calico / Domestic Short Hair Coat Length: Short Color: Calico Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes, with slow intro Child friendly: Yes, would do best with older children Litter Box Trained: Yes Temperament: affectionate, curious, playful, shy upon first meeting Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $190+tax To adopt, go to:  www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family: Willow is a sweet and spunky girl, ready to be your new little companion! She does take a little while to warm up to a new space and people, but once she's able to feel comfortable and confident, she loves to explore, nap, and watch the world go by through the windows. While Willow is dog- and cat-friendly, she would do best in a calmer environment, as she's previously been overwhelmed by living with too many other pets. She is a very independent girl, finding hiding places to sleep during the day or watching the room from her window perch, and will come rub up against my hands or legs when she wants affection. She also sleeps next to me in bed at night, sometimes in between my legs. Quick movements tend to frighten Willow, and she does best when I let her approach me, which she'll happily do once I've sat down. Willow would be a great cat for someone who has a busy schedule, as she's happy to spend time alone, and then catch up at the end of the day with cuddles and affection (her adopter will also get her automatic feeder, which you can program to feed her at certain times every day!) She's still a young girl, ready to settle in and grow old with her purr-fect forever family!    September 12, 2026, 3:19 pm

Bernie will cuddle up next to you when you are lounging around and will come running when you call her and gives you lots of loving looks when you are petting her. She enjoys hanging with her brothers and the other cats in the home and loves the lab that lives there as well. Story
Hi there… I’m Boss Man!
And yes, I know, I’m very, very adorable. You can tell just by looking at me. I didn’t always live the good life. I came to the sanctuary as part of the “Glencoe” cats, after spending my days outside fighting for food and shelter. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared… and honestly, I wasn’t impressed with the humans at all. I even earned my name by being the Boss of the ISO room, telling everyone to go away and mind their business! But guess what? Humans grew on me. Turns out they’re pretty great. They give pets (which feel amazing), lots of love, and, most importantly, tasty lickable treats. Those treats were the key to my heart, and they’ll be the key to helping me feel comfortable in my new home too. I’ll need a family who understands that I’ll hide at first and take some time to adjust. Please be patient with me, once I trust you, you’ll see what a sweet, loving guy I really am. I absolutely love other cats. Snuggling with them, playing with them, sharing cozy naps… a feline friend is a must for me. I’m playful, always zooming around with toys, and I especially go wild for catnip bananas and catnip toys. Pure joy. These days, I even enjoy greeting visitors, especially if they come bearing treats. From tough outdoor boss to luxury-loving sweetheart, I’ve come a long way. If you think you could be my patient, loving forever human, come meet me. You can visit me daily from 1–5pm… I’ll be the adorable guy waiting for treats and pets. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I even had a dental recently, so all my teeth are clean. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. Story
Hi… I’m Cupcake. Yes, the Cupcake! I’m a beautifully plump senior brown tabby with a personality that keeps life interesting. One minute I’m sweet as frosting, the next I’ve got a little spice… okay, maybe a lot. I’m hot, I’m cold, I’m up, I’m down… but that’s what makes me unforgettable. Mornings are my thing. I’ll come right up to you, meowing (very cutely, I might add) and asking for attention like the queen I am. I love my pets, my head scratches, and I’ll even rub up against your legs to remind you I’m there. But don’t get too confident… I’m also a diva, and sometimes I prefer admiration from a respectful distance. Love me on my terms, and we’ll get along just fine. I didn’t always feel this confident. When I first arrived, I was scared and unsure of people. But with time, patience, love… and yes, plenty of food… I’ve come out of my shell. I still need someone who understands that I’ll take a little time to adjust in a new home. I might hide at first, but give me space and I promise I’m worth the wait. A few fun facts about me: • I have no teeth… but don’t let that fool you… I crunch my food like a pro. • I love being brushed (when I’m in the mood, of course). • Cozy beds, sunshine naps, and catnip are my absolute favorites. • I get along well rubbing up against other cats… I just like doing things my way. So if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a little sass, a lot of charm, and a heart that shines through once you earn it… I might just be your girl. Come meet me between 1–5pm. I’ll be the fabulous one waiting for you. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. If you are interested in adopting Cupcake, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.

Story
Hi… my name is Sadie! I’m a little spiced brown tabby with the prettiest splashes of orange sprinkled throughout my coat and big, beautiful eyes that see everything. My fur is extra soft, just wait until you feel it. Before coming here, I lived underneath an abandoned mobile home. Life out there was scary, and I came to the sanctuary very feral and very afraid. It took quite a bit of time, patience, and love before the humans could even touch me. I’m still a little shy at first, and big movements can make me nervous, but please don’t let that fool you. Deep down, I am a total sweetheart. Once I trust you, I love being petted. I’ll rub up against your legs to remind you I’m there (fair warning, if you’re a fall risk, I may not be your girl!). I show my affection in quiet, gentle ways, and I truly enjoy being close to my people once I feel safe. When I go to my forever home, I’ll need someone who understands that I will hide at first. New places are scary. But with time, food, treats, and lots of love, I promise I’ll slowly come out of my shell. Patience means everything to a girl like me. I absolutely adore other cats and would do best in a home with a feline companion to cuddle with. Some of my favorite things include treat time, lounging on the catio, napping on heated beds, and snuggling up with my kitty friends. If you’re gentle, patient, and have room in your heart (and home) for a shy but loving soul, I just might be your perfect match. You can come visit me any day between 1–5pm. I’ll be waiting. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.
