Story
Meet our sweet girl, Dakota, looking for her forever home. She is around 3 years old and has a calm, loving personality. We found her as a kitten on a farm and took her in, and she has been an affectionate companion ever since. She absolutely loves to cuddle and is happiest curled up next to you for naps or relaxing quietly around the house. Her temperament is very gentle, relaxed, and easygoing, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm and loving cat. Her exact birthday is unknown, but we estimate she was born sometime in May. We are hoping to find her a caring home where she can continue getting all the love and cozy naps she deserves.

Name: Gracie Age: Adult / DOB 5/1/24 Weight: 7.2 pounds Gender: Female Breed: Dilute Calico/Tabby Color:  Dilute calico Dog friendly: yes, with slow intros Cat friendly: yes, with slow intros Child friendly: yes, gentle please Litter box trained: yes Energy level: Low Temperament:  Loving but cautious, your cats new best friend!  Adoption Fee: $200+tax   To adopt, go to:   www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html   Some cats take a little longer to trust the world—and when they do, it feels like the most special gift. Gracie is one of those cats. Beneath her soft fur and gentle eyes is a sweet, beautiful soul who is quietly learning that life can be safe, warm, and full of love. Gracie spent her first year living outside with her best buddy. When kind neighbors noticed that her friend had gone missing, they knew she shouldn’t have to face the world alone and reached out to MSAR to help her find a safe place to land. Like many former outdoor kitties, Gracie is a little cautious with humans at first. But she’s learning that people bring pretty wonderful things—like delicious meals, tasty treats, cozy beds, and warm places to sleep. She especially loves sitting at the top of the cat tower where she can watch everything going on below, and recently she’s discovered the joy of curling up in the little hidey holes for a safe, peaceful nap. Gracie is an independent girl, but that’s what makes it so special when she chooses you. The moment she hops onto your lap for some gentle scritches feels like you’ve truly earned her trust—and there’s nothing better than that. About Me: Hello and welcome to my world! I’m Gracie, although my foster dad sometimes calls me Betty White. Apparently they have a large brown beast around here that they also call Gracie, so I guess I needed a stage name! Honestly, I don’t mind—Betty is very distinguished, and I like to think I am too. I wasn’t totally sure about indoor life at first, but I’ve decided it’s actually a pretty amazing arrangement. My foster mom gives me this delicious food every day, and I never have to worry about being cold or hungry again. That alone makes this place pretty great! Everyone seems to love my little frost-kissed ears, but the truth is I’m just enjoying being warm and having friends to romp and snuggle with. If your cat is looking for a new best friend, I would love to apply for the job! I’m also willing to humor the humans—as long as they continue providing a nice perch to survey my domain, a warm bed to curl up in, and plenty of yummy food.  May 29, 2026, 9:39 pm

Story
Hi… I’m Cupcake. Yes, the Cupcake! I’m a beautifully plump senior brown tabby with a personality that keeps life interesting. One minute I’m sweet as frosting, the next I’ve got a little spice… okay, maybe a lot. I’m hot, I’m cold, I’m up, I’m down… but that’s what makes me unforgettable. Mornings are my thing. I’ll come right up to you, meowing (very cutely, I might add) and asking for attention like the queen I am. I love my pets, my head scratches, and I’ll even rub up against your legs to remind you I’m there. But don’t get too confident… I’m also a diva, and sometimes I prefer admiration from a respectful distance. Love me on my terms, and we’ll get along just fine. I didn’t always feel this confident. When I first arrived, I was scared and unsure of people. But with time, patience, love… and yes, plenty of food… I’ve come out of my shell. I still need someone who understands that I’ll take a little time to adjust in a new home. I might hide at first, but give me space and I promise I’m worth the wait. A few fun facts about me: • I have no teeth… but don’t let that fool you… I crunch my food like a pro. • I love being brushed (when I’m in the mood, of course). • Cozy beds, sunshine naps, and catnip are my absolute favorites. • I get along well rubbing up against other cats… I just like doing things my way. So if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a little sass, a lot of charm, and a heart that shines through once you earn it… I might just be your girl. Come meet me between 1–5pm. I’ll be the fabulous one waiting for you. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. If you are interested in adopting Cupcake, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.

Story
Hi there… I’m Boss Man!
And yes, I know, I’m very, very adorable. You can tell just by looking at me. I didn’t always live the good life. I came to the sanctuary as part of the “Glencoe” cats, after spending my days outside fighting for food and shelter. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared… and honestly, I wasn’t impressed with the humans at all. I even earned my name by being the Boss of the ISO room, telling everyone to go away and mind their business! But guess what? Humans grew on me. Turns out they’re pretty great. They give pets (which feel amazing), lots of love, and, most importantly, tasty lickable treats. Those treats were the key to my heart, and they’ll be the key to helping me feel comfortable in my new home too. I’ll need a family who understands that I’ll hide at first and take some time to adjust. Please be patient with me, once I trust you, you’ll see what a sweet, loving guy I really am. I absolutely love other cats. Snuggling with them, playing with them, sharing cozy naps… a feline friend is a must for me. I’m playful, always zooming around with toys, and I especially go wild for catnip bananas and catnip toys. Pure joy. These days, I even enjoy greeting visitors, especially if they come bearing treats. From tough outdoor boss to luxury-loving sweetheart, I’ve come a long way. If you think you could be my patient, loving forever human, come meet me. You can visit me daily from 1–5pm… I’ll be the adorable guy waiting for treats and pets. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I even had a dental recently, so all my teeth are clean. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. Story
Hello… my name is Felicity. Some people say my coat looks like a little masterpiece. I’m kind of like a dilute tortie… but with extra splashes and swirls mixed in, like an artist couldn’t decide when to stop painting. I like to think it makes me one of a kind. My story didn’t start out so pretty though. I came from a large outdoor colony called the Glencoe cats. Life out there was hard. There wasn’t anyone making sure we had food, warm beds, or safe places to sleep. Every day was a struggle to survive. We fought for meals, braved the cold weather, and tried our best to stay safe. By the time I was live trapped and brought to the sanctuary, my body had many wounds and I was very tired. But then something wonderful happened. The Furball team and their amazing veterinarian took care of me. They cleaned my wounds, gave me the TLC I desperately needed, and for the first time in a long time… I felt safe. I’ll be honest though, I didn’t trust humans right away. It took a lot of food, patience, time, and love before I realized they were my friends. Because of that, my new family will need to understand something important about me:
I will be scared at first. I will hide while I figure things out. My transition into your home won’t happen overnight. But I promise you… I am worth the wait. Once I feel safe, I’m a very sweet girl. I love gentle head scratches, especially when I’m all cozy and sleepy. I adore basking in the sunshine, rolling in catnip, and getting the zoomies while playing and scratching on cat posts. I’m also a pretty clever girl. At the sanctuary we have treat dispensers, and I’ve learned exactly where they are. You’ll often find me hanging out nearby… patiently waiting and watching in hopes that someone will press the button and send treats my way. It’s one of my favorite pastimes! Oh… and I’m a huge fan of visitors, especially the kind who bring lickable treats. Those are my weakness. I also absolutely love other cats. Snuggling up with a feline friend on a warm heating pad is one of my favorite things in the world, so I would do best in a home with another kitty companion. And just so you know, I recently had a dental, so my teeth are now sparkling clean and ready for snack time. If you think you might be the patient, loving family who will give a shy girl like me the time she deserves, I would love to meet you. You can come visit me every day from 1–5 PM. Maybe you’ll be the one I’ve been waiting for. If you are interested in adopting Felicity, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we want to meet you in person!
