Fontana is still getting use to shelter life. She will need someone who is willing to go slow and respect her space as she can take time to come out of her shell and be comfortable with people. Adoption could take some time as we want to ensure that she is fully comfortable with whoever is lucky enough to take her home. She was feral and is coming around but will still take a lot of work. She may start out not wanting to cuddle but could open up to it. We will have very high expectations regarding who she goes home with. Fontana is spayed. She tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV/HW, is microchipped and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is not declawed. She was found crying in a driveway off a gravel road. She was loud enough to catch much needed attention. Alice had been starving. Her tiny body was covered in scrapes and half of her whiskers were missing. Luckily, she found herself in the right driveway! After about three days of resting and scarfing down food and water, Alice was able to be herself. Her energy and resilience has been incredible to experience. She is playful, brave, social and such a sweetie.  After what was likely a nightmare for Alice, she has woken up in a much kinder place. She has been so wonderful to get to know and is ready to land in her forever home. About Me: Hi, I’m Alice! It’s been quite a long journey, but I’ve found myself in a cozy home with other kitties to play with. It’s tons of fun here and I spend most of my time chasing toys. She does take a little while to warm up to a new space and people, but once she's able to feel comfortable and confident, she loves to explore, nap, and watch the world go by through the windows. While Willow is dog- and cat-friendly, she would do best in a calmer environment, as she's previously been overwhelmed by living with too many other pets, but will happily make friends with other respectful pets. She is a very independent girl, finding hiding places to sleep during the day or watching the room from her window perch, and will come rub up against my hands or legs when she wants affection. She's also been finding her voice more lately and will pepper me with the cutest little meows when she needs something or simply just wants a little attention. She also sleeps next to me in bed at night, often in between my legs or curled up next to me. Quick movements tend to frighten Willow and she's quick to dart away from loud or moving people. However, as she's gotten more comfortable around my family and home, this has gotten much better with a little time and patience. Willow would be a great cat for someone who has a busy schedule, as she's happy to spend time alone when necessary and then catch up at the end of the day with some love and affection. Hi there… I’m Boss Man! 
And yes, I know, I’m very, very adorable. You can tell just by looking at me. I didn’t always live the good life. I came to the sanctuary as part of the “Glencoe” cats, after spending my days outside fighting for food and shelter. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared… and honestly, I wasn’t impressed with the humans at all. I even earned my name by being the Boss of the ISO room, telling everyone to go away and mind their business! But guess what? Humans grew on me. Turns out they’re pretty great. They give pets (which feel amazing), lots of love, and, most importantly, tasty lickable treats. Those treats were the key to my heart, and they’ll be the key to helping me feel comfortable in my new home too. I’ll need a family who understands that I’ll hide at first and take some time to adjust. Please be patient with me, once I trust you, you’ll see what a sweet, loving guy I really am. I absolutely love other cats. Snuggling with them, playing with them, sharing cozy naps… a feline friend is a must for me. I’m playful, always zooming around with toys, and I especially go wild for catnip bananas and catnip toys. Pure joy. These days, I even enjoy greeting visitors, especially if they come bearing treats. From tough outdoor boss to luxury-loving sweetheart, I’ve come a long way. I’ll come right up to you, meowing (very cutely, I might add) and asking for attention like the queen I am.
