Story
Cali is very sweet and loving but she's smart when she needs love and attention but also her alone time. She lets you know when she needs something and when she doesn't want to be bothered. I wouldn't re-home her if I didn't have to. She has her playful moments when wanting to be chased around almost like hide and seek, she does this side hop movement when she's excited with playing. Over all she will want to lay in your lap or in the bed with your or wherever you are.

Story
Binx is 5 years old. She is declawed and has all her updated shots. My fiance is allergic so we unfortunately have to find her a new loving home. She is good with kids but likes to hide if they are too crazy with her. She loves to sit on your lap. She has been an only cat and animal in the house with a few brief introduction of a few cats in the past.

Story
Zoey is a gentle, affectionate 9-year-old who loves greeting her person at the door and chatting about her day. She has big dog-energy in all the best ways. She adores cuddles, enjoys being close, and will happily curl up beside you for naps or quiet evenings. She has wonderful manners. No scratching furniture or carpet. She prefers her cardboard scratchers and uses them like a pro. She has lived with other pets in the past, but Zoey truly shines in a calm home with either one mellow pet or no other animals at all. Zoey is sensitive to fast movement and loud noises, so young children make her very anxious. We’ve set up a quiet space for her, and she thrives when she has a peaceful spot to relax. We are moving soon and unfortunately will not have a room where she can feel safe and comfortable. Zoey will come with everything she needs to settle into her new home. This includes a Breeze litter box and refills, a Breeze Litter Genie, a soft sided carrier, and her self feeder and waterer

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. MissGray’s story begins tucked away in a woodpile, where she was born into a small colony of outdoor cats. Thanks to a compassionate property owner, she and her feline family were part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort, allowing them to live safely and peacefully in an insulated garage. Her days were filled with joy and companionship, especially with her mother, who was her closest friend. They hunted together, played chase, and curled up side by side, sharing warmth and love. But recently, MissGray’s mother didn’t return, leaving her to navigate the world on her own. But this brave cat has showed resilience. The property owner decided to bring MissGray indoors to see how she would adjust, and to everyone’s delight, she’s doing wonderfully! MissGray has excellent litter box manners and is learning to trust her new indoor world. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loving companion, purring, rubbing against your legs, and soaking up gentle pets. While she’s not quite a lap cat (yet!), she enjoys relaxing nearby and being part of your quiet moments. Her ideal forever home would include a calm feline friend to keep her company, just like her mom once did. With her incredibly soft coat and gentle soul, MissGray is ready to bring warmth and sweetness to a loving home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ginny! Ginny is a playful little sweetheart who brings sunshine and sparkle everywhere she goes. She adjusted to indoor life like a pro and is truly a joy to have around! While she hasn’t been introduced to dogs or other cats yet, she absolutely adores playing with her siblings. Ginny is an independent girl with a spunky streak, but she’ll happily come find you for affection when she’s ready—usually right after an epic play session. She LOVES her toys, especially bouncy balls, springs, and anything she can zoom through or pounce on. Watching her rocket in and out of the tunnel is entertainment all on its own!  Here’s a cute video of Ginny playing with her siblings. Her days are filled with sunny naps, playful adventures, plenty of treats, and all the attention she decides she wants. With her bright personality and silly antics, Ginny brings energy, smiles, and so much joy to any room she enters. Life is good for this little lady—and it’s even better with her in it! Ginny is from an owner surrender with 2 sisters. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Click here to watch a video of Ginny.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2025, 4:54 pm
