Story
Gertie and her littermate Gracie are 9-year-old spayed calicos. They are exclusively indoor cats and are bonded to each other. Gertie is more social than her sister and likes to sit on your shoulder. Gracie will sneak in for affection when Gertie’s not looking. They play-fight from time to time but they’re often asleep on the same chair or bed. They both have mad parkour skills when they get the zoomies. Gracie once hit my bedroom light switch at 2am and scared me half to death. They like to hop up on the bathroom counter and drink a little bit of running water. They have a small Facebook following from their yearly antics with my nativity scene. They must stay together and be indoor cats. I’m sad to rehome them, but my life is in some upheaval right now and I can’t give them the attention (and vet care) that they deserve. I want to find a home and a person who will love them the rest of their days.

Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. To meet Rin, please visit our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site appointment. https://www.ggohinc.com/adoption-process-cats

Story
Caribou is a beautiful calico/tabby mix who was picked up off the side of a freeway with her two kittens. The finder took Caribou to MNSnap as a TNR cat but after seeing how good she was with her kittens and the potential she had to becoming a house cat/pet, the finder reached out to us to take her rather than return her to where she was found. She has been very shy and a bit nervous since she joined us but we know she has great potential if someone would just give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. We know that she is not the type of cat that everyone is looking for as many want instant gratification cats but we whole-heartedly believe that her person is out there somewhere and without us posting her story, that person may never be found. If you have an open heart and a desire to make a difference in a cat's life, maybe Caribou is the one for you - it's worth a visit to at least meet her, right? Caribou's DOB is approx. 6/1/18. Her ear tip that you see in her profile pics is the result of her spay at MNSnap. Presently, we are recommending older children only as a match for Caribou as little ones would not know how to read her signs. Dogs are an unknown. And, as you can see in one of her pics, she does fabulously with other cats. If you'd like to meet Caribou, please visit our website to schedule a visitation. www.ggohinc.com.

Story
If you'd like to meet Ms. Callie and Lauren, please jump to our website (https://www.ggohinc.com/adoption-process-cats) to review our adoption process & requirements and to schedule an on-site visit. Meet Ms. Callie. Is she not the most beautiful Calico you've ever laid your eyes on! My goodness she is stunning. And, meet her sister, Lauren - Lauren is the perfect combination of Tabby and Calico and equally as beautiful as her sister. Ms. Callie and Lauren were part of our 40th Avenue farm project where we helped a local farmer with an over-population issue. Both are a bit on the shy side but allow petting and will stay in place if you approach them slowly so they know you mean them no harm. You see, Ms. Callie and Lauren were adopted together in mid-2022 with an understanding from the adopter that it would take time for them to adjust to a new home but were 100% adoptable and ready for new adventures. Unfortunately, the adopter did not disclose that she wanted "therapy cats" but had ensured us she was willing to let the girls have all the time they needed to settle in and become comfortable in their new home. What she really wanted was cats that she could cuddle with, to provide the therapy she was needing. Had we known this, we would have not agreed to the adoption and would have recommended other cats that would have been more appropriate for her. She liked the look of these girls and it swayed her decision making, which was unfortunate for all of them. So, here we are today once again looking for a great home for Ms. Callie and Lauren. They are adoptable. They are shy. They are approachable and touchable. They are not lap cats - yet. They are not comfortable with being picked up - yet. But again, they are beautiful, wonderful girls that deserve a chance at a fabulous life in a home of their own. Their transition will take time but if you are okay with that, then perhaps you are just what they need. Would you be okay with just having them in your home, providing them with daily chats and yummy treats and fun toys - even if it meant they might never be your cuddle buddy? We know that person is out there. If it's you, why not make an appointment today to come and meet them. If you see what we see, we'd love to make your acquaintance and so would they. Two wonderful, loveable, and deserving cats are waiting. These sisters have an approx. DOB of 3/1/2019.

Story
Patches joined us here at GGOH after we helped a local farmer with an overpopulation problem; she came to us pregnant. Since intake, Patches has been slowly adjusting to the idea that indoor living is the way to go and that humans are not scary and just want to show her how good life can be. She's getting there. Patches will need an adopter or family that is willing to give her time and patience - to adjust and to trust. She's really a very sweet girl and she deserves the chance at a home of her own with her own people to love on her. She will approach for treats (i.e. - she is food motivated) and will stay near but picking up is not on her current list of likes. She really just needs someone to help her understand what a good live is all about. Do you have it within you to be Patches' human companion? Why not meet her and find out. Patches' DOB is approx. 8/17/2019. If you'd like to meet Patches, please go to our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com
