Lois was adopted and returned because the owner could no longer have her. I came to Paws and Claws from a rescue partner. In unfamiliar places with people I don’t know, I tend to keep my distance and make it clear when I need space. I might let you know with a hiss or a swat if you get too close. I can get riled up, and I need some time to calm down. Having said all this, I hope this information won’t put me in a box, so to speak. With time, patience, and understanding, I can adapt and grow. A home with a calm, predictable environment would help me feel more at ease. When I know and trust someone, I am quite friendly, and I love being petted. I would do best with a cat-savvy person(s) who understands cats and will allow me to set my own boundaries. Once we get to know one another, I’ll be it will all work out fine. I do like to be petted, and I love to play. My siblings and I have fun chasing each other, and we like toys. Do kitties smile? We do, at least on the inside! I am named after the younger of the two brothers in the famous series. I was living outdoors with my brother Frank when we were found in Austin. Life is tough when you’re living rough. I am being treated for my wounds to prevent infection. We were relieved and happy to be fed, and our finder said that we liked playing with toys. She said we really need to be in a home where someone will take good care of us. Frank and I were nervous when we got here and startled at sudden movements, but we’re friendly, affectionate guys. We both love pets. After all we’ve been through together, we’ve become bonded to each other. We’d like to be adopted together. Who could split up the Hardy Boys?!
