Calico kittens & cats in Elyria, Ohio

This young calico was abandoned by renters on my street. I had her fixed, dewormed and vaccinated at the Cleveland Apl. They said she was 9 months in April 2026, so she is one year old now. Ironically the renters said they abandoned her to the outside because they wanted a dog instead, but this little one loves to play fetch with the little spring toy you see in the photo bringing it back to you in her teeth. She has a LOT of energy and like all calicos I know she is a bit of a bully (chase/swipe) to other cats but not overly bad. She is though too much for all the senior kitties I have and myself. I nicknamed her monkey because her monkey-like face and her penchant for climbing curtains to get my attention. The renters had named her Duchess, and I call her that too. I've seen her be very good with children. My wish is for someone responsible to give her love, health care including nail trims (never claw amputations) and not lose her (she is fast and very curious).

Millie is 5 years old, she loves everyone and everything, cats, dogs, kids, toys, being pet. She loves to snuggle and play. She was adopted from the Brooklyn animal shelter about 4 months ago. I have accepted a traveling position for work unexpectedly and will not be home to care for her. She does have a small kink in her tail that she was born with, its does not affect anything and functions normally. She really is a fantastic cat. She doesn't really know her name, so if you'd like to change it, I don't see that being an issue.

Ming is about 11-12 years old but is still full of life and loves all the love. She was adopted from Craigslist many years ago as a sort of emotional support kitty for my cat that was already in the home. They had a sort of love hate relationship but got along pretty well and kept each other company. That cat passed away 2 years ago and Ming has never bounced back. I got a kitten a year later to see if that would help and it has made things worse. She is not aggressive whatsoever, BUT she just is not interested in a kitten relationship. She doesn't like rough play or anything like that so she yells and runs away when they try to play with her. She has become reclusive and doesn't seem happy in the home and I feel terrible. It has been an additional year and I feel like she would do best in a home that is quiet with either no other pets (no dogs or small kittens) or an older cat. She is very submissive with cats and I don't want her being bullied. She's SUPER vocal and loving.

I need to share with you a story of survival, a story of being finally chosen after enduring so much mistreatment on the streets, and losing your eye in the struggle… then your chosen and loved by a man who took you in, cared for you after you delivered your babies and then called Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR to take you just long enough for your babies to be weaned and then this kind man wanted you back, forever. He called to check on you daily, he brought food to the rescue to make sure you had your favorite, he told us “tell her she’s coming home soon”… until one day he didn’t call. He was found in his home after a massive heart attack. Our hearts broke—not just for the man who loved her so deeply, but for Cora, who had finally been chosen after everything she’d survived… only to lose the person who loved her most.
