Story
Meet Markie – The Queen of Disapproval and Cuddles! Have you ever wanted a cat who will adore you and silently judge your every move? Well, Markie is here to fulfill that dream! With her signature disapproving glare, this stunning gray dilute calico is an expert in the art of looking unimpressed—whether you’re serving her dinner (too slow), rearranging furniture (why?), or simply existing in her presence (tsk tsk). But don’t be fooled by her stern expression—underneath that gaze is a total sweetheart! Markie loves attention, enjoys being held, and will happily lean in for pets once she decides you’re worthy. She’s got a soft, plush coat perfect for snuggling, a round full belly that’s just begging for gentle pats, and a quiet but loving personality that will melt your heart. At 10.4 pounds, Markie is a bigger girl, which just means more of her to love! Markie has an estimated DOB of 1/16/2023, putting her just over 2 years old. She’s spayed, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, fully vaccinated, flea- and worm-free, and all-around ready to go to her forever home. She seems to get along well with laid-back kitty friends, so she’d make a great addition to a chill feline crew. Markie is waiting for a home where she can be pampered, admired, and occasionally roll her eyes at your life choices. Could it be yours? Story
Franceska has already done the hardest job of her life... now shes hoping someone will choose her. This beautiful calico showed up at the back sliding glass door of a kind womans home, meowing for help. Somehow she knew she needed a safe place. The very next day, she gave birth to three precious little calico girls. She was the sweetest, most devoted mama, raising her babies with so much love until they were ready for families of their own. All three of her girls have found their forever homes... and now its finally Franceskas turn. She may be a little shy for the first few minutes when meeting someone new, but once she realizes youre there to love her, her gentle personality shines. She adores being petted, soaks up every bit of affection, and will happily seek you out for attention. Franceska isnt the kind of cat who needs to be the center of everything—she just wants her person. Once she finds you, shell be your loyal little sidekick, bringing quiet companionship, comfort, and so much love to your home. After everything shes done for her babies, wed love nothing more than to see Franceska finally have a family to call her own.

Story
I need to share with you a story of survival, a story of being finally chosen after enduring so much mistreatment on the streets, and losing your eye in the struggle… then your chosen and loved by a man who took you in, cared for you after you delivered your babies and then called Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR to take you just long enough for your babies to be weaned and then this kind man wanted you back, forever. He called to check on you daily, he brought food to the rescue to make sure you had your favorite, he told us “tell her she’s coming home soon”… until one day he didn’t call. He was found in his home after a massive heart attack. Our hearts broke—not just for the man who loved her so deeply, but for Cora, who had finally been chosen after everything she’d survived… only to lose the person who loved her most. Now this one eyed calico mama he called Sweet Cora is on her search to be chosen again, forever. She is sweet, but she’s shy. After she gets to know you, she will stretch out begging for belly rubs, she will cuddle up against you. But, her person would need to understand her trauma, her journey and give her the love and patience she needs. She’s so deserving. She can’t be put back on the streets🙏🏻. We don’t want her to struggle again to live in the elements or be someone’s mouser. We want this mama to be chosen and cherished. Help us help her 🙏🏻 please. Open up your heart ❤️and home 🏡 and decide to love her. Sweet Cora is FIV positive but FELV negative. FIV positive (this is not contagious to other cats except through reproducing or a deep flesh bite wound, and they can live healthy long lives. Please spread the word and find this mama a home.

Story
This young calico was abandoned by renters on my street. I had her fixed, dewormed and vaccinated at the Cleveland Apl. They said she was 9 months in April 2026, so she is one year old now. Ironically the renters said they abandoned her to the outside because they wanted a dog instead, but this little one loves to play fetch with the little spring toy you see in the photo bringing it back to you in her teeth. She has a LOT of energy and like all calicos I know she is a bit of a bully (chase/swipe) to other cats but not overly bad. She is though too much for all the senior kitties I have and myself. I nicknamed her monkey because her monkey-like face and her penchant for climbing curtains to get my attention. The renters had named her Duchess, and I call her that too. I've seen her be very good with children. My wish is for someone responsible to give her love, health care including nail trims (never claw amputations) and not lose her (she is fast and very curious).

Story
5/20/25 Trixie is brand new to the adoption floor — these photos were taken just a couple of hours after she moved into her cozy new room. She's a little shy right now, but you can already see her curiosity peeking through as she starts to explore her new surroundings. At about 2.5 (DOB 10/1/22) years old, she’s a bashful girl who just needs a little time and patience to fully blossom. She does well with other cats and would love a friendly feline companion. Trixie is also working on growing back her soft coat after some stress-related overgrooming before she came to us — but with a little love, she’s already on the mend.

Story
Whiskers is a gentle and quiet soul, with a touch of timidity. We say almost timid because while she may pull away when approached, she’s not fearful or skittish—just a cat who values her personal space. She’s not the type to seek out cuddles or enjoy being held, but she’s calm and composed, preferring to quietly observe the world from a cozy perch. That said, Whiskers has done wonderfully with kids who understand to let the cats come to them and not to force affection, no hissing, scratching, or biting, just some polite squirming to say “no thank you.” Ideally, Whiskers would thrive in a calmer home without very young children, but she can adapt if the kids are respectful of her boundaries. Just keep in mind that she’s not a lap cat—she’s more of the regal type who prefers to lounge at the end of your bed or sunbathe in the window, looking absolutely stunning. She lived peacefully with a big foster dog who has since passed, often curling up next to him, so we believe she'd do well with respectful dogs. We currently have 10 cats, and while she’s not particularly playful with them, she coexists beautifully—no drama, just quiet grace. With the right environment and patience, it’s very possible Whiskers could grow into a more affectionate companion. Whiskers is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, routinely treated for fleas and worms, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. Her estimated DOB is 1/5/2023. All cats/kittens come with 30 days of free post-adoption support to Petcademy's team of trainers and behaviorists, as well as access to online materials to help settle your new furbaby into your home.
