Story
Faerie is a very sweet girl, who came to us as a pregnant and homeless mama. She is stunningly gorgeous, and now that her babies are grown, she is looking for a new home of her own. She needs to be with someone who is home a lot and would be fine with another pet. Faerie is very well behaved and doesn’t get into anything she shouldn’t. She likes to hang out with you and talk to you, making lots of soft kitty chit chat. She enjoys a good pompom and loves to be held and have her head scratched. Her personality is slowly emerging and once she’s away from her kittens, her true playful side will shine Looking for a little magic in your life? Apply online at CompassionForPaws.ca

Story
Mochi is a quiet, independent 3 year old calico cat with a gentle presence. She isn't a lap cat and doesn't seek out constant attention, but she enjoys having her own space and observing her surroundings. She bonds slowly and shows affection in subtle ways once she feels safe. She's curious, and enjoys relaxing in cozy spots and watching the world from her cat tree. Mochi is spayed, healthy, and well cared for. She is used to an indoor environment and would do best in a calm, stable home where she can feel safe and loved. She would be a great match for someone who appreciates an independent companion and understands that some cats prefer affection on their own terms. Mochi thrives in calm environments and does best with patient, cat-savvy people who respect boundaries. This decision was made with Mochi's best interest in mind due to a change in living circumstances. I'm looking for a responsible, loving home where she can be a cherished companion for the rest of her life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.TEACHER was found living in a backyard under a shed and she’d been there since the wintertime. Suddenly 4 kittens appeared with her and we received a call to get them removed and into rescue, They were rescued on the Labour Day weekend so we named them Teacher and her subjects (Calculus, Drama, Gym and Library.) She’s been spayed, had her vaccines including a rabies shot, Revolution and a microchip plus a clean bill of health from the vet. If you’re looking for the cutest most affectionate cat then look no further as here’s your girl. She loves to snuggle up with you and turns into a purring machine and will head bop you to give her head scratches.  TEACHER is litter box trained and has been since she came into rescue. She’s fostered with 2 other adult cats and is very snuggly with them and will curl up and have a snooze beside them as well. We would love to see her go to a home with another cat as she does really enjoy their company but she can be an only cat provided she’s not left on her own for long periods at a time. She’s met a puppy and there wasn’t any issues at all so would suit being with a dog. We recommend as always a slow, monitored introduction between them while the dog is kept leashed. Children should be aged 6 years and up plus be loving, gentle and calm around animals. TEACHER loves to chase the other cats in her foster home around and has been caught many a time grooming one cat or another and sharing her food bowl with them. She eats both kibble and wet food and just loves Temptations treats and lick sticks. She’ll sit in the raised cat bed for a nap and has just started to sit in the window sill and watch with interest as the leaves fall off the trees and if she’s lucky enough she’ll spot a bunny or 2 hopping around.  If TEACHER sounds like she’d fit into your family then please submit an adoption application to meet her.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 22, 2025, 12:50 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LIBRARY was found on a local property living under a shed with her mum, Teacher and her siblings (Gym, DRAMA and Calculus) and she’s now looking for her forever home. She’s spayed, had her two sets of vaccines including a rabies shot, Revolution, a microchip and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. She’s still apt to run away from anyone but her foster and has yet to let herself feel comfortable around strangers. She loves to be on the cat tree and is usually on there with either her brother, Calculus or her mum, Teacher.  LIBRARY has used the litter box since day one in foster care as she’s such a smart little girl. She loves to eat both kibble and wet food, have her water nice and cold plus she loves Temptations treats. She’s in a foster home with a puppy so she would suit a home with a dog as long as it’s cat savvy and as always we recommend a slow, monitored introduction be made between them. She has her siblings plus several other cats in her foster home so we feel she would best suit being with another cat. Children should be aged 10 plus due to her timidness and they should be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  If LIBRARY sounds like she would fit into your family then please put in an adoption application to meet her. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2025, 8:22 pm

Story
Meet Mercury 🐾Mercury is a petite, 6-month-old gray kitten with a gentle heart and a shy nature. She's a sweet girl who is still learning that people can be trusted, as she hasn't had much contact in her young life. Because of this, Mercury takes a little time to feel comfortable-but once she does, her soft purrs start to shine through. Here at the shelter, she's already making progress, slowly allowing pets and showing us just how loving she can be.Food is definitely the way to Mercury's heart-she adores treats and mealtime is her favorite bonding opportunity! She's also a playful kitten who loves her toys, especially wand toys, which bring out her curious and fun side. Mercury is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to continue building confidence. With a calm home and a gentle approach, this sweet girl has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Mercury is interested in other cats and may do well with some feline friends in her new home.If you would like to meet Mercury, she is staying at 91 Patterson Rd in Barrie.
