Story
This BEAUTIFUL young female Torie is looking for a home with no other pets. Her adoption fee is waived due to a generous sponsor. She is available for adoption. She is spayed and up to date. She will need an adopter who will give her space until she is ready to feel comfortable. She was found after 3 weeks alone in an apartment with her deceased owner. When the landlord was cleaning out the apartment they found her in a speaker. She is very sweet just needs a home setting and patience. After having her in foster care for a few months now Jenny is doing much better and would love a chance to spend time in her own home.

Meet Coral - A survivor - In The New England Area Adoption Fee: $199 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Coral is an 18-month-old dilute calico with a heartbreaking past but a hopeful future. This sweet girl was rescued from an awful situation when some very cruel boys tried to get their dogs to attack her. Thankfully, a kind person intervened, scooped her up, and brought her to safety with our rescue. Because of what she went through, Coral is understandably fearful of dogs. She would be happiest as an only pet, which makes her the perfect companion for someone who just wants one very special kitty to love. Despite her sad past, Coral’s spirit shines through. She is friendly, gentle, and warms up quickly once she feels safe. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the right family to give her the forever home she deserves. Coral is living proof of resilience—and now she’s ready for the happy ending she should have had all along. Could you be the one to give Coral her second chance? Now that her mama duties are done, Callie is ready for a forever home of her own—and she deserves nothing less than the best. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves lounging in sunny spots and receiving gentle pets. Callie is in a foster home with several other kitties she could be adopted with if you're looking for a pair. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Adoption Donation    $199 Located: in RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details )    Age:  2 .75 years old     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:    friendsoha@yahoo.com   Please verify the location and readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Hi, I'm Orion. My friends here named me after the famous Orion from Men in Black. I can be shy at first but warm up in time and will be your best friend, especially if there are treats involved. I love to hang out in my cat tunnels or tree. I did live with a child in my old home, so kids are ok with me. Please come visit me and maybe even take me home!

Story
Dawn is a petite, sensitive girl who is still learning that the world can be safe. She was found living under a deck, and after being carefully trapped, she’s now finally warm and cozy indoors, right where she deserves to be. When you first meet her Dawn is very shy and she will need a patient, cat savvy home that understands the “slow and steady” approach. With time, consistency, and kindness, she warms up and begins to show her sweet side. Dawn will do best in a quiet, low traffic home with someone who will let her set the pace and celebrate the small wins. We are unsure how she feels about other animals, so we’re looking for a home that can either offer her a calm environment or is willing to gradually introduce other pets. If you’ve got a soft spot for the quiet ones and a little bit of patience, Dawn may be your perfect match. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date.
