Demi is a 9 month old, petite, adorable kitten looking for her forever home. She is built like a tiny woodland pixie who absolutely came here to cause a little chaos. She has a huge personality and the kind of playful energy that makes you wonder if she has a secret espresso machine hidden somewhere. Demi is an absolute riot, she is ready to pounce, explore, investigate, supervise, climb into things she was not invited into, and keep her future family entertained on a daily basis. Demi has tested faint positive for FIV, which sounds much scarier than it usually is. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, normal lives with routine vet care, good nutrition, and an indoor lifestyle. FIV is not contagious to people or dogs, and it is most commonly spread between cats through deep bite wounds, not casual sharing of food bowls, litter boxes, grooming, or snuggling. Demi may be tiny, but her personality is enormous and she is very ready to find a family who appreciates a little pixie gremlin with a big heart, a bigger sense of adventure, and absolutely no plans to behave. They do not all need to come in at the same time. - Any current dogs in the home must complete an onsite meet and greet with the dog you are hoping to adopt. - Current pets in the home must be up to date on veterinary care and spayed or neutered. A Note About Leptospirosis Vaccines for Dogs We start dogs and puppies on the leptospirosis vaccine when age appropriate. Because some dogs are adopted before the booster is due, the full lepto series may not be completed before adoption. Your adoption counselor will review your dog's vaccine record with you and let you know whether a booster is still needed with your veterinarian. After Adoption Veterinary Care We recommend setting up an appointment with your veterinarian shortly after adoption. This helps your new pet establish care, allows your veterinarian to review their medical and vaccine history, and ensures they stay on track for any boosters or follow up care they may need. Flea and tick prevention, as well as heart worm prevention for dogs, are typically prescription products. Your veterinarian can help choose the safest and most appropriate preventatives for your pet based on their age, weight, medical history, and lifestyle. Hello there! I'm Mayonnaise or Mayo for short. I was found in a hallway, likely abandoned and I had a painful wound on my right leg. I was such a good boy for my procedure and for taking my sutures out. I am ready for adoption now! My personality is slowly coming out now.
