Please contact Tanja (tanjacarroll97@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Adoption Donation    $ 299      Located: in MS (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details )    Age:  9 weeks old as of 5/21/2025 Weight:   lbs      If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:    friendsoha@yahoo.com   Please verify the location and readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Story
5-12-25 Debbie is a year old calico with a lot of spunky energy! She loves to play and would do especially well with another young cat - or a human who likes to play a lot. When relaxing, she prefers to be near you or even better, on your lap for a chin scratch. She'll give a chirp at you if you relax in your petting duties. Debbie has also proven to be a clever girl, figuring out how to open latch doors. Debbie gets along well with other cats and though untested, we think she'd also do well with children. Story
My name is Lily and I'm a 3 year old female DSH, with an awesome color pattern. I am a very friendly girl who would like to spend my days being held and getting chin scritches from you. I enjoy sitting up high watching you, or plopping down right with you on top of your work. I would like a calm home, my last one had too many other pets and small people. I'm very happy in my foster home as the only pet, even with the 3 kids. Just give a little tap to invite me to sit with you and I'll be right on over! I am available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

These pups are in Pawtucket, Rhode Island too!

Story
Ideal Home: Cool, Calm and CollectedQualities: Mellow, Independent, AffectionateWe are delighted to introduce Perry, a charming 9 year old gentleman who is looking for his forever home to spend his golden years. His favorite things include treat testing, condo climbing, and bird watching!Perry is a very polite panther with people and has been showing off his affectionate side. He has been adjusting quite nicely since arriving at Ten Lives and has picked his foster dad as favorite person while he awaits his forever people to find him- he can often be found curled up on his chest making biscuits!Perry is a firm "no thank you" on dogs but doesn't mind the company of other friendly felines with the proper introduction. At 9 years old, Perry may need some time to settle into his new surroundings as all of this is very new to him. Before you know it, he will be comfy and showing off his true colors. He was previously an indoor/outdoor kitty and we think he would adore a catio or screened in porch to appeal to his inner panther, but a big window to bird watch from is equally pawsome in Perry's book! He is FIV+, but he is a happy, healthy, and ready to relax and play for all his ten lives. If you think you could be Perry's match, he hopes you will fill out an application today!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
One-Way is a two year old tuxedo cat who is the perfect mix of silly, laidback, and sweet. She joined Ten Lives after a Good Samaritan found her hiding in a bush next to the highway on-ramp. One-Way loves to play with her rainbow wand and will chase it all over the room making silly faces and leaping. She has never met a catnip toy she didn’t like and thinks zooming in and out of her tunnel is really fun. When she’s not playing, One-Way loves nap time. Her favorite spots include in a laundry basket, under blankets, and next to her foster mom. One-Way helps her foster mom get plenty of rest after working night shift and takes her job very seriously! One-Way is looking for a cat-free home without young kids — they interrupt her beauty rest! If she might be a good match for you, submit our app! She is also part of our foster-to-adopt program, where we are sure she will steal your heart!___________________________Ten Lives’ Foster-to-Adopt program allows potential adopters to interact and bond with a cat in a home setting before making a lifelong commitment. This program is a great way to see a cat’s true personality and watch how they integrate into your household. Please note, that only cats listed as foster-to-adopt are eligible for this program. How does it work?Foster-to-adopt applications are reviewed based on our goal of placing cats in their best-matched homes to facilitate lifelong adoptions. Once approved, you will bring home your new friend and have 30 days to determine whether they are a perfect fit for you and your family. During the foster-to-adopt period, you will be responsible for providing food, litter, and monthly flea prevention. Ten Lives will provide any outstanding veterinary care at a partner veterinarian. Please note: Ten Lives will not cover care provided by a non-partner veterinarian. Please consider this when submitting a foster-to-adopt application. At the end of the 30 days, you can make the adoption official by signing an adoption agreement and paying the adoption fee or you can return the cat to the care of Ten Lives. Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in fostering to adopt from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/foster-to-adopt/___________________________Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications.
