Story
Meet Cinnamon   Cinnamon is a beautiful medium-haired calico with a story of strength, survival, and just the right amount of sass. Estimated to be around 1–2 years old, this resilient mama knows exactly who she is—and she’s not afraid to show it.   Before rescue, Cinnamon was a familiar face around Taco Bell, doing whatever she could to find a meal. By the time she was finally brought to safety, she had already relocated to a nearby home’s crawl space—where she gave birth and successfully raised her two babies like the strong, devoted mom she is.   Now that her days of surviving are behind her, Cinnamon is ready to be someone’s spoiled house cat.   She absolutely loves pets and will happily show off her expert biscuit-making skills when she’s content. She gets along well with other cats but sets healthy boundaries—she’s not a pushover and won’t tolerate any nonsense. Basically, she’s the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.   Cinnamon would do great in a home that appreciates her independent spirit while still giving her plenty of love and attention.   ##2688914##

Meet Callie! Adoption fee: $249 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Meet Callie, a stunning young mama cat with a heart full of love and a calm, gentle spirit. We were contacted by a tenant at an apartment complex who found this pregnant beauty curled up on her porch, seeking a safe place to have her baby. Of course, we couldn’t say no—and not long after arriving in our care, Callie gave birth to a single precious kitten. Now that her mama duties are done, Callie is ready for a forever home of her own—and she deserves nothing less than the best. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves lounging in sunny spots and receiving gentle pets. Callie is in a foster home with several other kitties she could be adopted with if you're looking for a pair. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. Meet Calypso! If you look up the definition of "tortitude" (which, yes, applies to calicos as well), you would find a picture of Calypso. That's it. There would be no actual definition, just her picture, judging you and all of your life choices.Calypso is nine years old so she's earned the right to be judgmental and moody. If she wants to stare into your soul and make you feel bad about life choices you made a decade ago, then that's her prerogative. No one is going to tell her she can't and you shouldn't either. Trying to control Calypso will be like trying to control the weather...or like nailing jello to a tree.Calypso does not like her stuff touched. She is very particular about her belongings. Do NOT rearrange her space, you'll throw off her feng shui and then she'll have to start over and if SHE'S miserable then YOU'RE going to be miserable right along with her! If you move her stuff and she slaps you, well, you were warned. She isn't ALWAYS a terror, though. She can actually be pretty sweet. She loves scratches all down her back, loves having her head scratched, and is even a little bit of a social eater. She's just an older gal who is TOTALLY earned the right to be occasionally grumpy.Especially since she looks like that.Like, look at that face.Say no to that face.Bet you can't.(Calypso surprisingly does well with other cats but REALLY does not like dogs. Kids 12+ should be fine.)To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.
