If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Story
Hello...I have decided that it is on Menna's best interest to find her a stable home. I had fallen into financial issues and had to move on a boat. I tried to make Menna a boat kitty but she is not comfortable in that type of environment causing her stress. She has been staying at my mom's for the end of the winter. I would love to find her a stable home to live out her old lady years. She is sweet once she is comfortable but it may take a little time. Thanks so much.

Story
He’s an incredibly sweet cat. He fights with other cats in the neighborhood. When he was younger his leg got broken and he needed surgery to put pins in it. He also got a urinary tract infection and needs to eat (urinary so Royal Canaan food), which I don’t have the money for he recently hurt his leg again and has a persistent limp and I just don’t have the money or the time anymore. I really don’t want to have to give him up because he was one of the last gifts My mother gave me before she passed away. But I just don’t have the ability to take care of him in my situation. I just need someone who has the time and the money and resources to give him a good life. He deserves it and I can’t provide it to him right now. Need a permanent home for him.

Story
Callie is a beautiful long-haired Calico. She is approximately 5-6 yrs old and loves to sit on her perch and look out the window. She would love to be an only cat. She has lived with 3 other cats, but she preferred to be the queen. She gets along with and has lived with many dogs. She is strictly a house cat, likes looking out the windows and cat napping. She enjoys her tower scratching post, dry and canned food, toys and treats. She's a lovely kitty and very beautiful! If interested in adopting please complete the application at http://saveadog.org/available_cats.asp and download the CAT application. Story
Meet our adorable orange and white kitty! Despite his unique marking that looks like a single tear running down his face, this is one happy cat. He's a playful little guy who loves to chase toys and cuddle up with his favorite person for a good nap. With his fun and loving personality, he's the purr-fect emotional support cat. 🧡 Great with other cats. Has not been around dogs or small children. All of our adoptable pets are up to date on age appropriate shots, fixed, microchipped, and combo tested. This kitty is negative for FIV and FeLV. Creamsicle is currently in a foster home in Alabama. Upon approved adoption he will be transported to New England. His adoption fee is $175 and allows us to continue caring for and placing rescue animals with their forever families. The fee goes towards spay/neuter, vaccines, microchippping, and transport to New England. If you are interested in adopting one of our kitties, please visit purrposeandwags.org and fill out our adoption application. We require vet reference and a brief (video) home visit.
