Story
Meet Cinnamon   Cinnamon is a beautiful medium-haired calico with a story of strength, survival, and just the right amount of sass. Estimated to be around 1–2 years old, this resilient mama knows exactly who she is—and she’s not afraid to show it.   Before rescue, Cinnamon was a familiar face around Taco Bell, doing whatever she could to find a meal. By the time she was finally brought to safety, she had already relocated to a nearby home’s crawl space—where she gave birth and successfully raised her two babies like the strong, devoted mom she is.   Now that her days of surviving are behind her, Cinnamon is ready to be someone’s spoiled house cat.   She absolutely loves pets and will happily show off her expert biscuit-making skills when she’s content. She gets along well with other cats but sets healthy boundaries—she’s not a pushover and won’t tolerate any nonsense. Basically, she’s the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.   Cinnamon would do great in a home that appreciates her independent spirit while still giving her plenty of love and attention.   ##2688914##

Meet Callie! Adoption fee: $249 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Meet Callie, a stunning young mama cat with a heart full of love and a calm, gentle spirit. We were contacted by a tenant at an apartment complex who found this pregnant beauty curled up on her porch, seeking a safe place to have her baby. Of course, we couldn’t say no—and not long after arriving in our care, Callie gave birth to a single precious kitten. Now that her mama duties are done, Callie is ready for a forever home of her own—and she deserves nothing less than the best. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves lounging in sunny spots and receiving gentle pets. Callie is in a foster home with several other kitties she could be adopted with if you're looking for a pair. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Meet Coral - A survivor - In The New England Area Adoption Fee: $199 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Coral is an 18-month-old dilute calico with a heartbreaking past but a hopeful future. This sweet girl was rescued from an awful situation when some very cruel boys tried to get their dogs to attack her. Thankfully, a kind person intervened, scooped her up, and brought her to safety with our rescue. Because of what she went through, Coral is understandably fearful of dogs. She would be happiest as an only pet, which makes her the perfect companion for someone who just wants one very special kitty to love. Despite her sad past, Coral’s spirit shines through. She is friendly, gentle, and warms up quickly once she feels safe. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the right family to give her the forever home she deserves. Coral is living proof of resilience—and now she’s ready for the happy ending she should have had all along. Could you be the one to give Coral her second chance? Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Story
Who Doesn’t Love a Big Orange Kitty? 🧡🐾 Please put your paws together for the amazing, the adorable… Garfield! This handsome boy is now 7 years young and has plenty of love to give. Garfield’s story began as a semi-feral neighborhood wanderer, living outside for years until his foster mom trapped him and brought him to Scruffy Paws for safety. At first, he was understandably nervous—but with patience and kindness, he learned that pets and attention are far better than eating garbage and sleeping in the dirt. Trust has been a slow, steady process for Garfield, so his new family must be patient and understanding. He feels uneasy when someone towers over him and prefers being held while you’re sitting, not standing. During the adjustment period, it’s best to keep him in a smaller room without too many hiding spots so he can acclimate more easily. Garfield currently lives with his foster mom and her friendly female cats, who have helped him build his “catfidence.” Having another kind, welcoming cat in his future home would be a big plus. How to win Garfield over? One word: food. He’s a total foodie—vocal when mealtime comes, purring up a storm, and happy to accept pets while eating. To keep him healthy (he’s just over 10 lbs), we recommend measured portions—because while chunky orange cats are adorable, a fit Garfield is a happy Garfield. Garfield enjoys playtime with his foster cat sisters, relaxing on a comfy chair, and bird- or bug-watching from a sunny window. Once you’ve earned his trust, he may even let you hold him like a baby—while you’re sitting down, of course. He’ll do best in a quiet home without young children, and might be OK with a calm, respectful dog. Garfield is also FIV+, but don’t let that scare you—FIV is manageable, and cats with it can live long, happy lives with proper care. Garfield is still a work in progress, but for the right person, he’ll be a loyal, loving companion who’s worth every bit of patience. Could he be your next best friend? 🧡 https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
Meet Ren – The Water-Loving, Happy Drooler! 💦 What’s orange, has a tiny motor, drools when happy, and loves playing with water? That’s our girl, Ren! This almost 4-year-old beauty came to Scruffy Paws as a feral rescue, and while she’s made amazing progress, she’s still searching for that special human who will shower her with patience, love, and plenty of cheek scratches. Ren has been waiting for her forever home for 887+ days—she’s more than ready for a family to call her own! Since arriving at Scruffy, she has truly embraced the company of her feline friends—she’s a cat’s cat through and through. While she prefers kitty companionship over human attention, she’s learning that people aren’t so bad (especially when they come with treats and chin rubs!). A confident, people-friendly cat in the home is a must to help Ren feel safe and continue blossoming. 💛 What Makes Ren One of a Kind? 🐾 A happy drooler—when she purrs, expect some adorable love dribbles! 🐾 Obsessed with water! Whether it's watching it, playing in it, or just being near it—she’s fascinated! 🐾 Loves cozy hidey-holes, scratching posts, and perching up high to survey her kingdom. 🐾 Enjoys cheek and chin scratches but can get overstimulated, so a quiet, adults-only home is best. 🐾 Can be a little hissy at first with new cats, but she warms up with time and loves to cuddle her kitty friends. 🐾 Can be held… but only on her terms (a true independent queen!). 🐾 Has the most adorable head tilt when you talk to her—like she’s really listening to every word! 🤣 After 887 days at the shelter, Ren deserves a loving home where she can feel safe, loved, and finally settle in. If you’ve got a quiet home and a heart big enough for this quirky, lovable girl, Ren just might be the perfect match for you! 💛 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! 🎶 Super Cat Mullin – He’s Frickin’ Dynamite! 🎶 Move over, Wrexham fans—there’s a new comeback king in town, and his name is Mullin! While he may not know Ryan Reynolds (yet), this dapper black-and-white kitty has a champion’s spirit and a heart of gold. Mullin’s story started in the worst way—a taped-up Pampers box left by a dumpster. But this little survivor and his siblings have gone from discarded to adored at Scruffy Paws. Now, Mullin is ready for his furever team! 🏆 🏅 Mullin’s Winning Traits: 🐾 Silly with a signature grin – This boy is always up to something! 🐾 Chatty & vocal – Especially at dinnertime (he takes his meals very seriously). 🐾 Playfully swats for more pets – He’s all about the affection! 🐾 Charges at you for love & chin scratches – Good luck trying to take a photo before he zooms in! 🐾 Food is his love language – Treats, squeeze-ups, wet food...he’s not picky! 🐾 Feather toys & wand toys = endless entertainment 🏡 Mullin’s Perfect Home: ✔️ Another playful kitty is a must – He thrives with a feline friend! ✔️ Older children – He’s loving but can get a little overexcited. ✔️ Patience & time to adjust – A separate room at first will help him feel safe. ✔️ Cat-savvy humans – He’s still learning that people = love. Mullin has had a rough start but is more than ready to win the hearts of his new family. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he deserves?
