Story
Meet Molly a 3-year-old petite cat who adores affection and exploring her surroundings. Despite having FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), Molly remains vibrant and healthy, showing no signs of illness. FIV, transmitted primarily through deep bites, hasn't slowed Molly down one bit. She's a social butterfly who thrives on attention and can happily coexist with FIV-negative cats. With her spirited personality and resilient health, Molly proves that FIV-positive cats can lead fulfilling lives alongside their feline friends. Her happy squeak meows make her the purrrfect companion at home If you are interested in adopting from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://records.georgetown.org/Forms/AdoptApp . Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Story
Carrot is a loving and sweet cat. She loves to snuggle. Her favorite place to be is right next to you! She is particular about how she is touched though. You have to watch her signs or she will scratch. She loves kids but they have to know how to read her signals. Carrot has wobbly cat syndrome. She is able to walk but is clumsy and awkward. She can jump on low furniture and cat trees but does not jump high and isnt coordinated. Because my son and husband are allergic carrot lives in a section of the house with her sister. They dont get along and she also doesnt always get a human in there with her especially if the kids arent home. Lately shes been using the restroom outside the box. We have done a lot to remediate this behavior and while it will get better she often regresses. We suspect that it’s a behavioral issue stemming from loneliness and not liking her sister. She would do well in a home without other pets and with more attention.

Story
Meet Fauna, a beautiful and shy long-haired calico who came to Austin Siamese Rescue with her mom, Willow, and two sisters, Flora and Fern. She takes time to warm up and is still learning people socialization skills but we know that her true nature is waiting to shine through with some patience, time and lots of love! Fauna would thrive in a calm and patient home, where her adopter is committed to following a gentle introduction process and give her the space she needs to adjust. It will take her some time to fully settle in and feel comfortable, but with consistency, she will grow into a loyal companion.Fauna will need an experienced cat owner who is fully committed to continuing Fauna's socialization. Please reach out to Fauna's foster, Jesse, with any questions at jesseblack713@gmail.com ##2303572##

Meet Corazon — The Sweetheart Mama with a Heart on Her Side! With her striking calico coat, bright green eyes that practically glow, and a unique heart-shaped marking on her side, Corazon is as lovely on the outside as she is within. Her name means “heart” in Spanish, chosen not only for her charming fur pattern but also for the affectionate, gentle nature she shares with everyone she meets. Her favorite way to show love is by head butting you!  Corazon is a devoted mama who’s raised her kittens with love and grace, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled and adored. She’s calm, affectionate, and enjoys cozy nap spots, head scratches, and companionship. She greets everyone who walks through the door by rubbing up against them and patiently waits for them to sit with her for a snuggle & pets.  Whether she’s curled up in the sun or softly purring beside you, she brings warmth and a sense of peace wherever she goes. Corazon would do well in a home where she can be your loving companion.
