Want some head-butts? Squeaky is delighted to provide them! She's a gorgeous cat with striking,  unusual markings. From one side she looks like a tuxedo; from the other a classic calico! Squeaky is friendly & affectionate. She got her name because she has a delightful little chirp meow and enjoys interacting. She's used to being around other cats. She's a winner! We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159 / Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. October 4, 2026, 12:35 pm

She is very needy and needs a lot of attention.

This absolute sweetheart spent her whole life surviving the streets of Charlottesville, doing everything she could to protect and care for her babies. She had multiple litters and was pregnant when we decided to save her from the brutal life living on the streets. Cleo was a fantastic, dedicated mother, and now that all of her babies have successfully found their forever home it is FINALLY her turn to be pampered. After a life of hardship outside, she is entirely enamored with the indoor life. She completely cherishes the simple joys of safety: soft blankets, warm sunbeams, and the comfort of knowing she is loved! Cleo is an absolute doll who is ready to give all of her affection to a family of her own.Estimated age: 4-5 yearsHealth note: Cleo is positive for Feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1). Please do not let that scare you. This is an incredibly common, non-curable but highly manageable respiratory condition.Strictly indoor only: Cleo has zero desire to ever return outside!

Meet Wren 🐾 Wren’s story began in a warehouse, where this tiny little girl was found all alone at just 3 weeks old. There was no mama cat, no siblings, and no one to care for her. She was covered in fleas and already fighting so hard to survive. Thankfully, Wren found her way into rescue, where her amazing foster family stepped in and bottle-fed her, cared for her, and gave her all the love she needed to grow. Against the odds, this little fighter thrived. ❤️ Now, at 3 months old, Wren is a beautiful calico/tortie with a BIG personality to match her adorable face. She is opinionated, sassy, playful, and incredibly cuddly. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know it! Once she's ready for snuggles, though, she's happy to curl up with her people and soak up all the affection. Wren is also wonderfully social and does great with other cats, dogs, and gentle children. She has come such a long way from the tiny, flea-covered kitten fighting to survive in that warehouse. Now she's healthy, happy, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for the part of her story we've been waiting for — finding her forever family. 🏡💕 If you're looking for a playful little companion with plenty of sass and an enormous heart, Wren may be your girl! Meet Cinnabon! Cinnabon is a strikingly beautiful gray and white spotted tabby, about 9 months old. Her spots are similar to Bengals, so she may have some Bengal in her. She came to us early last August when she was found in a Culpeper garage, darting here and there, frightened to death, but desperately wanting to stay to get food. We never know what traumatic experience a cat has been through when they come to us. Thankfully, the Good Samaritan took pity on her, made sure she felt safe and was fed, and contacted us. When she came into care, Cinnabon was still frightened and timid, so we put her in with another litter of 3 boys that were her age (Boston, Zeppole, and Long John). She made friends and played, cuddled with them, and began to relax and feel safe.Cinnabon is still timid and takes awhile to warm up, but, like her name, she is so sweet. She loves to play with foil krinkly balls, climb, and gets along with other cats, especially Boston, who is still in foster care, and another cat, Jojo. She likes to be pet, as long as you move slowly and, once she knows you, is fairly easy to handle. Cinnabon will need a quiet, low activity home with either a patient, loving human(s) she can be a companion to with/without older kids over the age of 14. I think she would also benefit by having a cat friend in her home to snuggle up with - we strongly suggest either Boston or Jojo (we could do an adopt 1 get 1 free with Boston or Jojo) so that she could acclimate to her new home easier. She is ready to go home with an approved application and is dewormed, spayed, had her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to reregister every year, we've taken care of it! If you can give this sweet girl a home and a family, please let us know. Meet Hickory, a handsome white and gray, short-haired 6 year old lovebug. He came to us years ago with his mom, Constance and his brother, Hunter on the Freedom Ride from a high-kill shelter when their time had run out. The kill shelter told us about this little family because they were so sweet and gentle and they were worried they would not make it out.  Sadly, AFTER 4 YEARS in foster care, Hickory is STILL with us. We don't understand why and  poor Hickory is beginning to give up hope of ever finding his family and his forever home. He is a sweet and gentle soul and deserves a family who loves and cares about him. Hickory is a quiet, unassuming cat and is still playful. He is loving, likes to be held, and comes to you for affection.. He loves a quiet window where he can look out at wildlife or what is happening in the world. He is shy at first but warms up within a day or two and gets along well with other cats, but prefers a loving human to sit and watch t.v. with - a Hallmark movie or sports, he is not picky.Hickory is neutered, received FVRCP  and Rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration - you won't need to pay to renew every year, we've done it for you! He is ready to come home now with an approved home. Please fill out a digital application at: https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044March 8, 2026, 12:42 am

Meet Biscuit! Once upon a time, Biscuit had a family. Then one day… they moved away and left her behind. For nearly TWO YEARS this sweet girl survived outside — finding food, shelter, and safety all on her own. She learned to be strong because she had to. When help finally came, she thought she was safe… only to end up outside again — until a kind person opened their door and gave her a chance to breathe, rest, and begin healing. Now Biscuit is ready for the next chapter — a real forever home.Biscuit is a beautiful female Aegean tabby (white with gray patches), about 2–3 years old, looking for a calm, loving forever home. After spending time surviving on the streets, she’s learning to trust again and discovering how wonderful indoor life can be. She is a sweet companion cat who enjoys being near her people, helping with paperwork, watching TV together, and napping in sunny windows. She loves warm blankets, making biscuits, watching birds, and playing with simple toys like bottle caps and socks. She’s curious, social, and will happily hang out nearby — maybe even join you for tea (watch your cup… she’s known to dip a paw! Affection is on her terms — she enjoys pets and attention but appreciates slow, gentle handling. She would do best in a quiet, low-activity home with patient adults or cat-savvy kids over 10. Biscuit can live with calm, respectful cats and may adjust to a mellow older dog with slow introductions. Biscuit has done the hard part — now she just needs someone to choose her. Could that be you? She just needs someone to say, “You’re home.”  Please share to help her find the person who will never leave her behind again.Biscuit is dewormed, spayed, has her rabies and distemper vaccines, is combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay over $20 every year, we've done it for you. Please fill out a quick digital application at: https://www.jotform.com/form/221029453063044March 8, 2026, 12:42 am
