Calico kittens & cats in Manassas, Virginia

Lily is a beautiful cat, but she’s very scared by sudden noises. We are rehoming her due to unfortunate circumstances of the previous owner moving out and not wanting to take her and she doesn’t get along with our other two cats that are male (nurtured) cats. She’s very loving to people and likes to be petted. She’s never been around a dog so therefore I don’t know if she would get along with a dog. She has been an indoor cat her whole life and is spayed. She needs her current vaccines which will be done before going to her new forever home. Lily will be 4 years old in May. I will provide a month of her current cat food and litter for anyone who wants to adopt her.

We chose to expand our kitty family in 2020, during the height of Covid. We rescued Cannoli when she was only around 5 weeks old from our cousin's farm. She is now 4 years old, and unfortunately at this time, our schedules have become too hectic to manage our kitty household. She loves to be around humans and has especially been gentle, patient, and kind to our toddler. She only loves pets on her terms and will let you know that belly rubs are a no-no (head and back preferred). We would love to find a loving family to adopt our girl, love her, and care for her. She would best thrive in a single-cat household and one that could afford her to sunbathe on a deck (she stays within the confines of the deck parameters).

She was a stray and is extremely friendly to people of all ages. She wants to snuggle and loves being pet and will even play fetch. We are sad to see her go. Unfortunately we have too many children and another on the way to make sure this cat gets the attention she needs. We think our environment is too much for her and is stressing her out. Over the past year we have been trying to get her leg healed. She has developed a stress reaction to overgrooming and has become quite serious. She takes two meds a day and is slowly getting better, but she deserves to be somewhere more comfortable.

Gabby's Personality Gabby is a beautiful tabby/calico girl with a blend of stripes and patches of color. She is an exceptionally friendly and outgoing kitty who settles into a new home easily and greets you at the door when you return home. She is curious and a little mischievous...if you can't find her, check your closets to see if she has sneaked inside, seemingly waiting for you to come and find her! Gabby loves, loves, loves hanging out with people. If you are working from home, she is usually playing or napping nearby. If you are sitting on the couch, Gabby likes to sit in your lap or next to you. At night, she often sleeps by your side...or sometimes decides to find a cozy spot elsewhere until you wake up in the morning. Then Gabby is there to greet you. This girl is also becoming more and more playful every day. She likes batting around plastic tops to containers and fluffy balls, and goes wild when you play with her with a feather on a stick or laser pointer. Daily play activity is important - so bring out the feather toy or laser pointer at least once a day for some good, vigorous playtime. Gabby can also be a little sassy under some circumstances. While she likes to be petted, she can get a little overstimulated and nip if you pet her too much. She may also nip if she wants to get your attention so its important to make sure Gabby has plenty playtime with people, a variety of toys to play with, and a kitty condo or perch in front of a window so she can watch activities outdoors. Type of Home Gabby Needs Gabby needs a home with caretakers who understand both her sweet and sassy sides. While she is not overly demanding, Gabby needs plenty of playtime and activity around her to keep her engaged. An adult couple would be ideal, but a home with an older cat-savvy child would be fine (over about 10 yrs of age). No young children now or in the future. We have not seen Gabby interact with dogs or other cats although we understand she did find sharing space with a couple of other cats at a shelter. Where Gabby Came From Gabby came into SPCA NOVA's care from a local shelter where she had been brought in as a stray kitty with a litter of kittens. I had Gracie since June 2022. Gracie is a very affectionate young cat. It takes her awhile for her to get acquainted with someone. She loves being clean and demands a clean litter box. Pretty Liter is the prefered brand. She is not an outside cat and doesn't like loud noises. She prefers to sleep in a bed with you and not in on a cat bed. She has never eaten soft cat food, only dry. She is not spayed due to timing and a busy schedule, which is why she has never been outside. We are moving and unable to bring her with us.

Chloe is a sweet and playful three-year-old petite female calico colored cat. She was rescued as a tiny kitten and was in foster care for nearly two years. In February 2022 she was adopted but she was surrendered back to Shadow Cat Advocates on June 28, 2022. Chloe does not like to be touched. She loves to sit near her foster Mom, will play endlessly with the laser light, loves her wet food and treats, and gets along well with her foster cat siblings, but she becomes quite frightened if she is cornered and she is hard to get into a crate when she must go to the Vet. Chloe deserves a home where she will be adored and loved with a family that does not expect a lap cat or to pet her. We realize finding the right home for Chloe may be a challenge however, we hope there is a family with other friendly cats that would welcome a new addition to the pack. Chloe is fully vaccinated, is negative for FIV and FeLV, is spayed, and microchipped. She has had her rabies shot and is an indoor only cat. It is a SCA policy that our cats cannot be declawed. Hi my name is Jingle and I am a snuggler. I crave affection and love to climb up and lay on your chest while you watch tv or sleep in bed with you, if you let me. I also like belly rubs and the warmth of the front steps, the sun. I like to groom my sister. Oh, I am a big cat (25 pounds) but the more to love. . Anyone who comes to visit instantly falls in love with me. I do love to chase hair bands, and will climb up on the toilet to look for my moms hair bands. Please help me find a new home.

Approximately 13 year old sweetie. Very energetic and affectionate. Loves to spend the evening sitting in your lap snuggling. She looks perpetually kitten-like at only around 9 pounds. She’s generally outgoing and is friendly even with new people. She’s been a great companion, however due to life changes, I’m not able to give her the affection and attention she deserves.

We adopted Prada from the Charlottesville SPCA in December 2019. She was estimated to be about 3 at the time, making her about 7 years old now. She was their favorite cat and is so sweet with humans! She loves attention and to be in the room with people. She always does very well with guests over too. Her front paws were unfortunately declawed by her previous owners before we adopted her, so she needs to be an indoor cat. She does NOT do well with other cats and dogs. We had a child a year ago and she is allergic to Prada, so we really would like to rehome her as soon as possible. We love her and want the best for her! We are happy to provide food, litter box, cat tower, toys, treats, etc. free of charge.
