Story
Meet Chapo ????Chapo is a stunning 103-pound chocolate Cane Corso with movie-star looks and the heart of a total softie. Don’t let his impressive size fool you—this big boy is all about love, affection, and being close to his people.Chapo is friendly with every person and dog he meets. He greets the world with a wagging tail and an open heart, always ready to make a new friend. Whether it’s a new human admirer or a canine buddy, Chapo’s attitude is simple: the more friends, the better. At his core, Chapo is a lover boy. All he really wants is attention, pets, and to be told what a handsome guy he is (which, to be fair, is very often). He thrives on affection and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Bonus points if you happen to have some tasty treats—he’s not above accepting snacks as part of his adoration package.Because of his size, Chapo will do best with a home that understands and appreciates large breeds. But personality-wise, he’s just a big teddy bear looking for his forever family. If you’re ready for 103 pounds of loyalty, sweetness, and unconditional love, Chapo is ready to be your oversized lap dog and devoted best friend. ????Current Adoption Hours:Tuesday-Saturday1PM-4PM 160 Hitchcock Rd, Salinas, CA831-769-8850 Adoption information:Adoptions are first come first serve and if you currently own a dog, you are required to bring in for a dog to dog intro. Story
I love her so much READ Watch her youtube video Carmen was pulled for a foster after someone saw her video at Clayton and knew she needed to be saved. She has a non contagious form of mange, which is easily treated with a monthly flea and tick medication, and has been tested three times. Once pulled, it was clear she didn’t tolerate a leash and didn’t like her skin being touched, which is expected with her condition. Staff couldn’t get a leash over her head, so she wasn’t being walked at all. She was taken to the vet, but I chose not to spay her right then because of her skin—healing could have been a problem. Then an angel stepped in to cover one month of boarding at a place the rescue couldn’t afford. The difference has been night and day. When I picked her up for her spay checkup, she was wagging her tail, asking for pets, giving my stepdad kisses, and proving she’s a five star car rider lol Now she loves being touched, the leash is no problem, and she even loves going "bye bye". Her sponsored month at daycare is ending, and she really needs a home where she can grow her hair back and have the same people love her every day. God only knows how badly I wanted to bring her home, but I am full—more than full. Carmen hasn’t had a formal temperament test yet, only through the fence, but yesterday she showed no issues at the vet or walking past other dogs. She is trusting, sweet, and deserves a bed and a home of her own. Meet and greets available If you can give Carmen a foster or forever home, please reach out. She is all snuggles and wagging tails. I know you will love her just as much       ##2555735##
