Story
Meet Charlotte! This adorable female Cane Corso puppy is on the lookout for her forever family. She`s an inquisitive young lady who enjoys exploring the world around her and soaking in all the new sights and smells. Charlotte likes people and their attention, though she prefers to engage on her own terms. This energetic pup can get a little frustrated on leash and might show this by pulling in the opposite direction. With consistent and positive reinforcement training, she`ll learn to enjoy her walks by your side.Charlotte is still learning to be completely comfortable with handling. When she feels uneasy, she might show it by lip licking, trying to create space, and sometimes using her mouth inappropriately. With patience and gentle guidance, she`ll learn that handling can be a positive experience. It`s important to note that Charlotte has shown some guarding behavior around her food bowl, becoming very focused and intense during mealtimes. She has also displayed some guarding tendencies with high-value items, resisting when asked to give them up and becoming a bit snatchy when they are returned.Due to her sensitivities around food and high-value items, Charlotte would thrive best in a home with teenagers and up who can understand and respect her boundaries and work with her using positive reinforcement techniques to address these behaviors. If you`re an experienced dog owner who is ready for the joys and responsibilities of raising a Cane Corso puppy and can provide Charlotte with the consistent training, patience, and understanding she needs, she has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion. Could you be the perfect match for this promising young girl?

Story
Meet Cinnamon — the 2-year-old Cane Corso cutie who was this close to being a tragic story... until she was rescued from the Merced County shelter and is now ready to live her best life! Like any true Cane Corso queen, Cinnamon is a little shy at first — she likes to play it cool. But give her about five minutes (and maybe a treat or two), and she’ll be your new BFF, snuggle buddy, and personal shadow. She's all about loyalty, love, and giving the best side-eye to anyone who dares question your greatness. Cinnamon is a social butterfly with other medium to large dogs — both boys and girls — and would thrive with someone who knows and loves her breed. She’s already a leash-walking pro, crate champion, and potty expert. Plus, she’s got some serious zoomies and LOVES chasing balls and tossing her toys like a one-dog circus act. Bonus: her little nub tail wags so fast it might just cause a small breeze. It's ridiculously adorable. And can we talk about her looks? Cinnamon’s got jaw-dropping fawn-blue fur and golden eyes that will stop traffic (seriously, be prepared for compliments). She’s a total showstopper and she’s ready to find a family who will adore her as much as she’ll adore them. Currently being spoiled in her Oakdale, CA foster home — Cinnamon would love to meet you and steal your heart!

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more here Due to the challenges associated with this puppy's breed, they will only be available to adopters with guardian breed experience. Please read more about the breed here, and some tips on training and socializing Corso puppies here.  Tortilla is a 3-month-old puppy with a heart as big as her paws! This playful, sunny girl is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet—she’s curious, clever, and already showing off her smarts by learning house training and polite greetings (no jumping, thank you very much!).  Tortilla loves a good sunbathe, happily lounges in her crate, and is a quiet observer of the world around her. In her foster home, she’s friendly with the dogs, respectful of cats, and snoozes through the night like a champ. In short—she’s off to a fantastic start!  But Tortilla isn’t just any puppy—she’s a future guardian breed powerhouse. She’ll need a committed adopter ready to keep up with her training, socialization, and enrichment as she grows into a loyal, protective adult. If you're experienced with Cane Corsos or large guardian breeds and are ready for the rewarding challenge of raising an extra-large companion, Tortilla just might be your perfect match.  This sweet girl is ready to grow into her big paws and even bigger heart—with the right human by her side.
