Personality & Story
Tank is a big-hearted boy who is learning to trust again as he decompresses in his foster home. Despite being 4 years old, he still has plenty of puppy energy and a youthful spirit. Tank is a classic Velcro dog—he wants nothing more than to be close to his people, especially the kids in the home.
He knows his name and basic commands like sit and inside. While he may be a little skittish when meeting new people, he has an excellent judge of character and warms up quickly with patience and gentle interactions. Once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loyal, affectionate, and eager to please.
Ideal Forever Home
Tank would thrive in a home with kids, as they are truly his favorite people. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from a canine friend to help him burn off energy through play.
Cats are not the best match for Tank—he may chase, so a no-cat home or one with older, calm cats would be ideal.
A fenced yard would be wonderful for him to run and play safely, but it isn’t required. The most important things for Tank are companionship, structure, and a family who will give him the love and patience he deserves.
