Meet Rafferty!
Rafferty is a lovable, goofy puppy who is ready to find his forever home once again. After being returned due to a change in his adopters’ circumstances, Rafferty has settled right back into rescue life and is doing wonderfully. He’s a social, affectionate boy who likes everyone he meets and isn’t shy about handing out plenty of kisses!
True to his puppy nature, Rafferty is playful, curious, and full of personality. He does occasionally nibble during play, but he is very easily redirected and responds well to guidance. He loves his toys, enjoys chewing on bones, and will happily entertain himself—or invite you to join in the fun. Rafferty is also quite the attention-seeker and will paw at you or climb right into your lap if he feels he’s not getting enough love!
Rafferty is crate trained and goes in willingly. He may whine briefly but typically settles in nicely. He enjoys car rides and loves looking out the window, taking in all the sights of the world around him. He already knows “sit” and is currently working on “stay,” showing that he’s eager to learn and grow.
Because Rafferty is still a growing giant breed puppy who doesn’t quite realize his size, he would do best in a home with older children or kids who have experience with large dogs. He will need an adopter with Corso or large breed experience who can continue his training, provide structure, and guide him as he matures.
Rafferty could do well with another dog to play with, but he would also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home. While a fenced yard is not required, a contained outdoor space may be beneficial, as he has shown some prey drive.
Rafferty is a sweet, fun-loving pup who just needs the right guidance and a committed home to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. In return, he’ll give you endless affection, laughter, and a loyal best friend for life.
